  • Zbaszynek is a major interchange station in Western Poland. Unfortunately, there weren´t that many trains coming since I was there on a Saturday afternoon...

The conductor observes the train in case someone tries to jump on too late.

Major interchange station in Western Poland and the first big interchange station between Berlin and Warsaw. Unfortunately the standard of this station is not impressive - it is typical polish way of rebuilding the railway lines. They change the rails, but not the platforms which remember probably the 70's or even earlier years.

70's? The platforms look still like before the 2nd worldwar, only in a worster, delapidated condition than under German reign. Neubentschen (=Zbaszynek) was built in the 1920s as a border station right next to the new German/Polish border to handle the passenger and freight transport between the two countries.

Cool vid! Can you tell me why those doors are open during the drive?
