Modular model railroad scenery of the (former) BErlin main Station (today: Eastern Station). The era shown is shortly after the fall of the Wall (1990).

    that´s called FALLER CAR SYSTEM.
Basically there is a H0 scale locomotive on rails underneath the road with a magnet that pulls the buses, trucks etc. I think that´s the way it works.

Fantastic - I want to have something like this in future in my basement ;)
But I have one question - how are the cars controlled? Is it RC or there are some sensor (or something) under the road?

Nice idea, but that's different :-D
There is a thin metal wire hidden under the road surface; the front axle of the vehicles can actually steer and is guided by a magnet which follows the wire. The vehicles are moved by an on-board electric engine, with battery.
More advanced systems (which you can see at LOXX) have digital controls which can make vehicles stop, follow different directions and activate many lights.
This model work is very interesting, is it in Betriebsbahnhof Schöneweide?
