Sheep Farming: Not Everything Is Black & White!

- Today at Ewetopia Farms, as we go through our daily routines, we realize that everything on the farm, and in life, is not black and white - not even grey - more a mucky, sludge! Not all sheep have milk right away, rolling out straw is like playing American football and trying to fight your way down to the end zone, having sheep in designated pens does not mean that's where you'll find them, ordering hay seed does not mean what you ordered is what you get ... you get my point! Lol! Enjoy!
Sheep and sheep farming is our passion and we hope that the love we have for what we do is obvious to you the viewers. Our operation is a large scale, registered Suffolk and Poll Dorset sheep farm combining the best of pasture and confinement to manage the flock for maximum comfort, minimal stress, and producing a consistent, very high quality product. Our focus is on providing breeding stock for sale to other sheep producers. All our sheep are treated with the utmost compassion which I think will become evident as you join us on our daily rounds on our working sheep farm in eastern Ontario, Canada.

Luther
For some reason, I already thought the lamb’s name was Luther; so, that’s what I’ve been calling him. His personality reminds me so much of my dad, who recently passed away.
I really enjoy waking up to my cup of coffee and finding Lynn and Arnie on CZcams every morning, with their sheep. And, I’m still learning more about these silly sheep. 🐑 ❤🐏

The little orphan is looking great, glad to see him continuing with his bottle feeding!!!! The new little lamb is a cutie. I hope the mom's milk comes in soon for him and for you.

Good morning Arnie and Lynn. Sounds like a busy day all around for you guys. Those bottle babies are quite smart and they don’t want you to miss your morning greeting. 🤣🤣. The orphan boy is looking great. Luther or Levi will be great names for that future sire. The rolling out of the hay was a circus event today. They were like a crowd cheering the ringmaster (Arnie). 🤣🤣. Hope you had a restful evening. Big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰

A video of surprises! At 6:25 the buzzer went off, cookies done or did Arnie have a choice word for the interfering lambs?😄😉 and then " hand job", I laughed out loud!! Great video and lots of fun. My vote is for Luther. We woke up to 8 inches of snow this morning and still counting. I hope you don't get slammed too hard. Be safe.
I have been doing a lot of baking lately 😉😆 and hand care is sometimes necessary for those needy boys 🤣🤣 We have snow forecast but I think we'll just get the tail end of it
Luthur seems to have stuck, i like easy names as well, usually two sylable names, i have a cat named Opie and Tobey, anyway he looks like a Luthur.
It is funny how some names do seem to "stick". I will tally the votes today!

This morning it was Leviathan. Levi for short. It’s a wonderful name, Levi for short, smiles, Belinda.
He’s handsome, strong, and he has good luck to survive and continue to live an extraordinary life on your amazing farm.
I have a farm and am considering farming livestock of sheep.
I’m just following your experiences and what a magnificent couple you both are. B

Good morning Lynn & Arnie, Nice to meet the day with a new lamb, what a great start!! I just love how the 1st lambs meet you in or near the door when you get in. They are so demanding for such a young age. I almost fell over when you said, that one gets a hand job!!! What a hoot!!!! 🦉🦉 🌴🌹

Meaning of the name Luther = leader of the people... Leviathan... not so good... He is an old demonic dragon.... destroyed only by God.... So I vote for Luther... many times the orphans are the one's God picks to "lead"....
