Miss Muffet looked so cozy under the manager. And wow has she grown! Almost as big as the trips. The lake was extraordinarily blue as a background for the green lily pads and turtles…what a peaceful view. Loved seeing the rams-Glad, General, Kasanova, etc. I hope the strap helps keep the mischief maker on his own side. Big Betty peeking through the manager was a nice surprise. Will you be moving her in with the new batch of ewe lambs later?💛

Wonderful to see you off the farm! Sorting day would be my least favourite day! Wow. I'd fail. Thanks for the field trip to the water and cemetery, and the fun times in the barn with the lambs and sheep.

Little miss Muffet is looking good! She is so sweet! Her mom is so gentle with her. I didn't know that rams were getting into the feeder too. Hopefully that strap works, but if not making those holes a little bit smaller will help for sure. Aww, turtles! They look so happy together out there on that log.The cemetery looks interesting. People did die way too young in the old days. I'm happy that the sheep are doing so well with their weaning.They really want more grain lol! It was fun watching the turtles soaking up the sun! You can't blame them, after they've spent months hibernating buried in the cold river mud. Nature walks are fun and nourish the curiosity many of us have forgotten, that we had as children. They aren't snapping turtles though! Wood turtles maybe?

Sorting would be a hard one for me too! Little Miss Muffet is adorable!!! She has grown up and filled out into a beautiful ewe lamb!❤ She looked lime a stuffed animal snuggled up under the feeder.😂 Thanks for sharing and have a great day! Stay safe!!🙏❤

I love old slate stones, i use to gravestone rub years ago, some of the old "slateys" are georgeous with their epitaphs and images! Nice!

They look like a river cooter or slider, i think painted turtles have a yellow plastron with some red in it? They look like they are enjoying their basking time, getting their vitamin D!

Those turtles were something special! I loved them turning their heads in sync. The problem with lambs in the barn is that you have to feed them? Is that an Arnie joke or have I missed something? How do you decide which ewes to cull and which ones get to retire? Is it just whether they make it to ten years without needing to be culled before? Why is deciding who gets to stay and who gets to go most people’s favourite job? Because it’s payday?

Naughty Rams, You NEVER know what could crawl through holes, I saw a video a news report a long time ago of a Mountain Lion crawling through a small doggy door before 🕳🐏🌽

Going to the cover alls with you , the lambs and their moms was pretty fun. That sheep with the pail was priceless. Nice bird houses! Keep us posted on what birds 🐦 you see! The dairy barn sounds pretty cool. Getting customers to select their own sheep and pay for quality seems like a smart way to do business. The sheep sorting chute looks complicated. A new chute sounds cool. I look forward to seeing how that one works too. I wonder if that sweet little lamb actually belongs to that sheep too. I would guess that the chute gets moved! Interesting to see the chute put up for sorting the sheep. That will definitely make your job easier moving large numbers this summer. Max is a working dog for sure, I love watching him. It's always fascinating to watch sheep dogs. They want to help with EVERYTHING that their humans do. Not just herding, but running a skid steer, rolling out a bale or building pens. You can see the same with Sandi Brock's Kinsey, who wants to help pull straw carts, use scrapers and even get involved with pull starting the feed wagon. That's why they rarely sit still when there's work to be done. The running around is them saying "I want to help! I really want to help! Just send me in coach, I'll get it done!".
