- Join us on today's sheep farming vlog at Ewetopia Farms as we tackle the challenges of winter weather. In this exciting episode, we take action to relocate our sheep to their proper barn locations before the next storm hits.
First, we start by moving the rams from the back of the lamb Coverall to make room for the next group of ewes and lambs. Despite their aversion to snow and ice, we successfully guide the rams to the next barn with minimal issues.
Next, we lay out fresh straw, remove the old dividing wall, and create a new creep area for the lambs. With these preparations complete, we take a moment to enjoy the thrilling lamb races before heading to the lambing barn.
In the lambing barn, we demonstrate our stress-free and safe method of loading the next group of Suffolk ewes and lambs onto our trailer. From gathering the lambs to watching the ewes confidently load themselves onto the trailer ramp, we guide you through the entire process.
Finally, we release more ewes and lambs from their bonding jugs, allowing them to join the now vacant family pen. Despite the constant movement, everything flows smoothly, ensuring a comfortable and secure environment for our sheep.
Join us for this informative and action-packed video, where we showcase the intricacies of winter sheep farming and our dedication to the well-being of our flock. #SheepFarming #WinterChallenges #StressFreeExperience

I never get tired of watching lamb shenanigans! Everyone deserves to watch a "Lambpede" in progress.😮
Agreed!
The mom of the triplets was hilarious.
I agree you and Arnie have all the systems in place . Very cool to watch
She is an awesome mom! :) Yes, after decades at this, things are finally starting to run a little more smoothly! LOL!
The triplet family is so cute, Hopefully those ram's all get along cause some are trouble makers 🤣🐏💙🧡
They are!
All the comments before are the same things I was thinking. Ya'll work so hard everyday to keep your farm running productively. Nice work
I appreciate that. Sometimes, in the moment, it doesn't always feel that way :)
The logistics involved during lambing is mind blowing 🤯 You and Arnie have it running like a well oiled machine.
THANK YOU!
Years of practice, trials and errors!😁
It was neat watching Ernie use the Shepard stick to move the rams 😂 I also got a kick out of watching you wrangle the lamb's. I thought they were going to win for a moment there!😊 Take care and stay warm! God bless you both! Liz
Lambs are the hardest to move because they haven't learned the routines yet. But they did pretty good 😆
A very productive day!! I always look for Glad's frosted nose when the rams are in a group. Hopefully the troublemakers didn't stir up too much trouble and everyone settled in well. The little triplet family is so sweet! I'm rooting for her to be able to keep their bellies full. After such a busy day I hope you were able to rest up. Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!🙏❤
Yes, you can usually spot Gladiator and I am happy he is generally not a fighter so he avoided the rough play that was going on in the ram pen afterwards. And that triplet family is awesome. They are a joy to watch. Even if she can't feed them all in the future, they will all stay together and I will just top them up if needed.
I just want to tell you I love this channel!! If I was a sheep I would want to be on your farm!!! I can't get enough I'm so glad you have a couple of years for me to binge watch!!
Thank you. It is always nice to hear feedback like that! :) We have tons of videos so if you binge watch, you could get sick of us by the end of it! LOL!
So busy… prepared for the storm. The lambs look so healthy and happy ❤🐑
😊 look at those babies run and they are fast being so young . Hard workers yall are ,its a muddy and wet day here ,.stay safe and warm love from me .
Yes, they are SO fast! LOL! Thanks Rhonda!
That first time mom with the triplets is such a good mom. I wouldn't want to be around when they are separated for good.
Yes, she is an extremely good mom and still raising all three 🙂
I showed today's video to two of my fiber friends. They especially enjoyed watching the lambs enjoy their new space in the barn and the new hay.
Thanks for sharing!🥰
What a fun, fun video to watch. You two have to be exhausted after doing all that "moving" and work today. I'm sure you are so glad that every day is not like this.
It's busy on moving days but it is always a good day too because things are progressing 🙂
Another great video. Moving all those sheep made me tired. Little Mister is so cute.Be safe in the storm
Thanks 👍
Good morning!

Good morning!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊

I'm glad you mentioned the Dorset lambs having dirty faces. I was wondering why this year's Dorsets were so much dirtier. You have been using plenty of straw. I'm betting some mischievousness will come to light.
Yes, could be!😆 It is most likely from woolly faced ones and dampness so every piece of dirt us sticking to them
What great mothers!
Beautiful lambs! When do you ever find time to relax and rest! Your Channel really shows how hard you work!
What's resting and relaxing?!🤣🤣🤣
You had a very busy day hopefully you can get some. Thanks for taking time to share.
Thanks. We are hanging in there! :)
Good afternoon Arnie and Lynn. Well tge boys didn’t make too much of a fuss going out but they wondered how come 😂😂. Well they made it over and they said yay. We are still inside. That was funny Arnie calling you when you were there already. Tgat dirty face only a mom loves😂. The hay has really looked good this year. The Dorset lambs are developing their muscles. Those triplets are so cute. They just look like fun and mama is so proud. Looks like catching all the lambs so they can load up. Aww Hunchy we all want her to not prolapse. Slippery out there. You guys have to be careful walking outside. The Dorsets look so comfy snuggled in the straw. Now that was a rodeo mama. Took Arnie for a run. Phew what a busy day. Time for a little break. Blessings and big big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉❤️❤️❤️
Busy day but we don't mind that when things go well. Everyone was pretty cooperative so all went smoothly and that makes all the difference:) Those triplets are quite the group and that is one fantastic mother especially considering she is a first-timer. Big hugs!!
Lynn, you and Arnie have so much energy throughout an immensely active day! 🥰 Will you be putting the rams back outside again soon or will they stay inside until spring? 🐑 Also, how many lambs do you have on the ground now and from how many ewes? 😊
The rams will stay inside until we need the space and then they will go back to their lean-to. We have had 96 ewes have live lambs so far. We had a two or three lost lambs. As for how many lambs are on the ground, I don't know yet. I will know that once lambing is over and we add everything up.
