What are *YOUR* thoughts on the OnePlus 12?
It's not just a flagship it's a flagship killer
🤯
I think bro means for upcoming phones as flagships n oneplus 12 will kill them all. So futuristic
A flagship murderer 😅
@@egcozinon yo that's too funny 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Coming from a user of S23U, here are my overall thoughts
- the overall experience of OP12 is much smoother than S23U, everything is just buttery smooth.
- Im not a fan of telephoto shots, but I do feel OP12 photos fits me better as they are more natural yet retain that punchiness.
- Haptics is something I never expect to be something that I enjoy, it is significantly stronger than S23U.
- The feel of the OP12 however feels a little cheaper than S23U, S23U even without its case feels like a premium product while OP12 feels lighter and cheaper in hand.
- Totally love Vooc ultra fast charging, its something I never expect to enjoy it so much, sometimes I have to go out within a short time notice, I dont feel any anxiety when my battery goes low
- The 2nd hand price of S23U is brutal, I lost almost $600 usd selling online after one year of usage, I doubt I will get a Samsung Ultra series ever again.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Much appreciated!
The resale value is bad for any Android device, not just Samsung. In fact, the Ultras probably have the "best" resale value among Android devices (which still pale in comparison to the resale value of iPhones). The only phones with good, consistent resale value are iPhones.
@@phothewin6019 Check the resale value of Xperias. If you can even find one for sale, the price is still really high. They sell for more than used iPhones.
This was a nice feedback. I hate upgrading often, but here I am with my exynos S22 "Ultra" wondering if I should just upgrade or fix my display for 300€ 🤦🏻♂️
@@phothewin6019Not really, sold a perfect 14PM for 700€ thats 50% of the new price a year ago
Your review of the OP 12 made me believe in the smartphone, and I bought it. TBH, my decision to buy the OP 12 instead of the S24 made me a "wise buyer" (wink-wink). Thank you so much.
Love to hear it! Thanks so much for watching and glad I could help! What's your favorite feature so far?
@@itstheBMAC The Camera itself...
@@asian432 Happy to hear it!
@@itstheBMAC I was so excited after watching your review. Went straight to buy an unlock phone. haha
That was too funny Man he says it made me a wise buyer 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣
Some other rare things this phone has:
1. A Dual physical SIM slot. Extremely rare in North America because our crap carriers hate it. If you travel internationally alot this is a big feature because you will never have to deal with ESIM or any of the issues it brings
2. The IR Blaster. Im surprised you didnt mention this
3. The alert slider. Now that Apple replaced theirs with a button OnePlus is the only company with one.
4. Unlockable bootloader. This is going to probably be the best phone released this year for root snd custom ROMs. It already has TWRP, Magisk, and KernalSU working on it.
Great points! I still dislike the move to eSIM in smart phones these days simply because of how much easier it is for me, as a reviewer, to switch SIM cards physically in order to switch phones. I don't use the IR blaster and therefore didn't feel it was genuine to talk about it but, yes, pretty cool feature that seems to be very well received! The alert slider is also cool! Similar to the iPhone, however, it's a switch (slider, in this case) that I have simply set to vibrate 99% of the time. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
What about the green line issue on the display, does it continue with this line up too?
Haven’t experienced that at all.
Green line can appear in any phone, not just OnePlus. It's just an issue with OLED tech in general.
Excellent review there's a lot of stuff you are missing about it people just have to find out for themselves but it already has a beefy camera system and the screen is okay it's just your preference it's a new pixel structure also display so it's different from any other smartphone out there
Only if only it had a flat display, I would have bought it😭😭😭
Hopefully with the OnePlus 13!
@@itstheBMAC 🤞
Nice review. You left out the IR blaster that most other "flagships" fail to include anymore, but the OnePlus 12 has.
Should I buy it as an iPhone person upgrading from iPhone 11, I saw that it was $799 and had 120x zoom
I don’t know how much about how better gaming would be becasue sometimes my iPhone just exits out of the app 😊
Plus I need the 120x zoom so I can take photos of things that are very far
Yes! It's not something I personally use but I can see how awesome and helpful that can be!
@@itstheBMACis the speaker quality good aswell does how the phone feels? Like is it plastic, metal or even glass
You can become a Good 😊 Teacher...Your detailed review is clear, crisp and esay to understand...
Thank you! 😃
Now OnePlus 12 can shift lence in 4k 60 fps video
I saw that! Pretty cool!
This one can wire connect to TV?
There is an IR blaster.
Man I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my OP12!!!! The battery/charging in this thing is INSANE!!! Paired with nice rear cameras ALL shooting 4K60 without even interrupting recording, Zippy fast OS, Super bright and vibrant display, IR blaster, etc, etc, etc…. Hands down the best bang for your buck in 2024!!! What a hell of a partner to my 15 Pro Max!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Happy to hear it! Thank you for sharing!
For the design, you either like it or hate it, for me, it's fine, it has identity, you know you're holding a OnePlus device. Curved screen, I usually prefer flat screen but with a case, I haven't experienced any issues missclicking. Btw, in Europe, we just receive an update which allows to switch lenses when recording video. The thing I like about the display is the Aqua Touch, amazing feature, you can use it when it's raining. it has the best battery I've ever had with a phone and a 100w fast charging, it's crazy. It's overall an excellent smartphone that it's quite cheap compared to other Ultra. There might be better phones Xiaomi 14 Ultra or Samsung 14 Ultra but they're far more expansive. I didn't speak about Oppo Find X7 Ultra and Vivo x100 Pro which are not global but they are among the very best android phones
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I just have 2 questions. What do you mean by "beefier image processing"? And, were the pics taken in southern New England?
@davidbrown6137 More aggressive image processing - more computational photography bringing out more details in the shadows and highlights with a little more sharpening. Pictures were taken in CT, USA.
@@itstheBMAC Thanks Brian! I found that by using the Hi Res 50 MP option, I was able to solve most of the "computational/processing" deficiencies you listed. Fortunately, I am able to compare these pics right next to the pics, of the same scenes, taken on my P8P's Pro 50 MP mode. Actually, in the pics I've compared, the OP pics look sharper with more accurate color calibration than my P8P. And yes, I thought that the Stop & Shop pic looked strangely familiar. Is that the store in South Windsor?
@@davidbrown6137 Thanks for sharing your thoughts! That S&S is in Wallingford.
Another problem is it's not great value in Europe, pricing is different 😢,I am so tempted to get this, but will have to wait until a price drop
I've had every flagship phone, S24 U, iphone 15 PM, Pixel 8 pro but the OP 12 is totally insane and truly the best phone OnePlus ever released. Personally my absolute favorite phone and I don't mind the slightly curved screen since that makes the phone less wide and easier to hold. The camera which was always the weak point of OnePlus phones is this time extremely good and definitely on the level with the other flagship phones recently released.
Yeah agree with you...I wait for the OP13 and hope for a flat display. I can live with the camera bump design. But curved Display is a no go for me :( And exynos CPUs but luckily OP doesnt have this crap and stays with the real deal Qualcomm SD :D
Thank you for watching!
I love the oneplus 12 but the curved display makes it a deal breaker.
Let's hope the OnePlus 13 gets rid of it!
They claim the op 13 scored over 3mill on antutu with the sd8gen4. Incredible
I love flat screens as well but.......if you put a case on a phone you really don't notice the curved screen so much.
I have yet to have an accidental touch with a case on, this is with op12, s21 ultra, s23 ultra, all which have curved screens. For those that don't use a case, I could see where that would be an issue at times, but I think the majority of people put a case on their phones
I HAVE to go naked! 😂
@@itstheBMAC haha, hey, nothing wrong with going commando 🤣🤣
I personally am a bit of a fumble fingers, so a case is a must for me.
I had the 11 for a bit. I will say the curves aren't near as bad as they used to be. I remember when they released curved phones, even with a case the accidental touches were a nightmare.
Today on like the 11 or 12 or the 23 ultra, they aren't near as bad, so it's not as big of an issue as it once was.
I've always preferred flat to curved but, if you're using swipe gestures, the curved screens do add a little more comfort or flexibility compared to flat screens.
In the end though, it really boils down to the individual and their tastes and/or needs
If the screen was flat, I would have got it day 1
Totally hear ya on that one!
*would have, not of
@@itstheBMAC the oneplus 13 is apparently flat with a 5x zoom.
If it had differentiation in os from oppo, realme; i would rate it oneplus is a brand else it is garbage brand without no difference in using oneplus 12 or nord or oppo???😊
Your judgment is incorrect. It is one the best well matured skins pack with features minus the bloat. Using it since launch, no qualms.
80w charging brick** in the box.
No. The OnePlus 12 comes with a 100W SUPERVOOC Power Adapter in the box. Charging in the US will be capped, however, because of the 110v standard.
@@itstheBMAC I travelled abroad to Spain recently with the same brick I got out of the box. Still capped me at 80w plugging into a 230-240v plug.
Well that's certainly odd! I know that the website and the charging brick itself both list the charging brick at being capable of 100W. Now you have me wondering what official setup would be needed to get the full 100W.
@@itstheBMAC I ended up buying the 100w dual port brick sold separately on the OnePlus website and for some odd reason it actually does 100w and also says "supervooc 100w" on the charging animation. On a USA 110V plug.
Waiting for oneplus 13. Please let it have a flat screen.
You and me both!
It won't have unfortunately
Obviously he is sponsored by other phone companies
I’m not sponsored by a single smartphone company.
Dude he ain't sponsor the phone is crazy like that One of the largest vapor chamber systems in the phone industry Wi-Fi 7 with Samsung just get this year they have it from last year 16 GB of RAM and you can expand it to four eight or 12 depends on your storage or how you use your storage so that's 28 RAM The phone is smooth
