    By saying you're already a part of the red cable club, and saying you don't need it made Samusng's and Apple's point. That statement is why we no longer get chargers etc in the box. That was terrible. The amount of money we pay, we should always receive chargers and cables in the box.

    • @CR1992..
      @CR1992.. Před 3 měsíci +1

      Why though?
      You already have one and they deduct the price from the new purchase or you can simply buy it as an accessory with your new purchase.
      This was the goal of moving to usb c and you guys still oppose the very reason for its creation. It was made so that we can charge and transfer data with a single cable, that's why it is becoming universal so that you can rely on one to charlene phones, tablets, computers, gaming controllers etc.
      Stop opposing technology where it is not even necessary.
      Also, most people who buy a one plus already have one. I have my warp charger still, no longer have my red cable but I can buy that thing for $4 and use my warp charger I have had since I got my Oneplus 7 pro and it is still working just fine. You don't really want us to believe that you don't simply toss your new cables or chargers aside when you get more of them like everyone unless you are selling your old devices, do you?

      They should have an option to buy a phone with Charger and no charger... That's the best option

    • @mjjones1045
      @mjjones1045 Před 3 měsíci +29

      @@CR1992.. You are a part of the problem. Let's get this straight. They are selling electronic devices that require power to operate. These devices should never be sold without the very thing that is needed for them to operate. It is not you or Samsung's right to say who has a charger and who does not. Why does someone switching devices required to purchase a charger when that device requires a charger to work?! Are you going to be okay if PlayStation starts saying they are no longer giving you the power supply because you should have one laying around? I did not think so! There should be an option to request the free charging supply or not. Then you are allowing people to make a decision on whether or not they need it, because I find it very interesting that Samsung and all other manufacturers still sell chargers lol! They stopped giving them so they can be greedy and make extra money off of them. This was not the goal of moving to USB C. The goal of USB C was to have one charger for all electronic devices (do your research). They claim they stopped including chargers to cut back on waste (hahahaha, yeah yeah). You are entitled to your opinion, but do not be a fan boy please.

    hey i have a question. I want to safe battery health by wanting to use a slower battery charging brick instead of the one they give us. Can i use the USB C GaN Charger 30W • Anker 511 Charger (Nano 3) • PIQ 3.0 Foldable PPS Fast Charger for the one plus 12? I know the main perk of the phone is due to its super fast charging and i will use that when im in a rush but when i just want to charge it normally can i use that anker 30w brick?

    • @HowlingMoai
      @HowlingMoai Před 3 měsíci +2

      You can limit the charging speed on the included brick inside the phone settings. Though, charging speed barely affects the lifespan of the battery health. One of the most important variables is limiting the maximum charge so that the phone doesn't go above 80 to 85%. It's best to use fast charging and then stop charging altogether at 80 or 85% battery life. The most important things are not using the phone while charging, and keeping the battery between 20 and 80% capacity. I've done that on all my phones for the last several years and I've stopped having battery health issues. I also keep my phones for about 2 and a half to three and a half years so it's not like I'm going through them yearly.

    Why would you have to live without AI? In fact, a software update was just released in China for the OnePlus 12 that offers several AI features. In addition, that same update will be available globally in the near future.
    Actually, I rather like the camera bump. I think it gives the device a very unique look.
    Personally, I didn't care for the nine or 10 series but, the 11 was awesome.

    My only drawback is the slow software updates (my OnePlus Open is still on Android 13 and no word of when 14 is dropping) and the supposed heating, which I’ve seen multiple videos of benchmark and battery drain tests hitting around 60 degrees with heavy use. Long term, idk about this phone.

    • @DUICE08
      @DUICE08 Před 3 měsíci

      OnePlus has one of the best phone support of any android oem. The 7 has Android 12 and that phone was so old. This one has Android 14 out the box. I'm on the open too myself but am in no rush since Android 14 turn my pixel into a heating pad. Faster updates aren't always great imo.

    • @superiortoall22
      @superiortoall22 Před 3 měsíci

      @@DUICE08 I mean I would hope this one has Android 14, lol it’s brand new. No excuses for a $1700 OnePlus Open to not have Android 14. And I can’t say I agree with that, release a software in a decent time frame then release hotfixes and patches. That Shows the software support side of a company. If it’s slow then that’s not a good sign on the company.

      @@superiortoall22 but they have a great track history, for years they were way better than Samsung in that regard. I don't think it's a bad sign considering their history. Samsung just now doing what they supposed to buy people forget their history and think them to be the standard. Not saying that's the case with you. And I get your point. Very valid.

    • @superiortoall22
      @superiortoall22 Před 3 měsíci

      @@DUICE08 I guess that makes sense; from a broad perspective, they are doing more than most Android manufacturers. You got Sony and ROG releasing $1500+ phones with only 2 OS updates so it could be worse. I guess companies releasing phones without updating their previous ones just rub me the wrong way. But different strokes for different folks, I suppose. I’m very critical of companies and their OS support since it’s probably the most expensive part of their company.

      Oneplus updates in the US are slow. They prioritize the Indian market since they are bigger there. I don't knock them for that, I would rather them prioritize that market and keep the company a float. That's a lot better then them focusing too much on the US market, become less profitable, and then exit tge US market completely.
      I do agree though, the OnePlus Open is so expensive and should have Android 14 by now. There's some rumors about Oppo, OnePlue parent company, exiting the foldable market,

    Alright, I've got to chime in on the curved screen debate, and honestly, it's not really my cup of tea. Now, don't get me wrong, I totally get why some folks might be all over that look - it's sleek, it's modern, it's...curvy. But let me lay it out straight for you. Firstly, the whole ordeal with screen protectors on these curved displays? Forget about it. Trying to get one to fit perfectly is like trying to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded. Then there's the whole thing about holding the phone. Every time I grip one of those curved beauties, I feel like I'm one wrong move away from turning it into modern art. Sure, you might have the grip of a rock climber, but for me? It just feels off. Now, I've heard there are cases out there that kind of give you the best of both worlds - the illusion of a curved screen with the peace of mind that comes with a flat one. To each their own, right? It's all about preference at the end of the day.

    Yeah people hating on the curved screen is annoying. It wasn't until recently that Samsung started switching over but people still buying their phones. I don't get the pointless hate. It was probably cheaper for OnePlus to use a curved screen anyway. Still a high quality display.
    Dual sim is also awesome! IR Blaster. Top end ram and storage speeds. HDMI out on the charging port. Max charger in the box. Fast wireless charging. Cameras may not be the absolute top end but the fact that they are comparable to other high end phones speaks volumes.
    In the end, OnePlus is showing us that people are paying way to much for a high-end phone. We need more companies in this space to show us what a high-end phone can be. While I wish it still had a headphone jack and more secure face unlock, you're getting a lot for your money here.

    The main reason S24 Ultra feels so terrible in the hand in comparison, even though they have pretty much the same screen size, is that Samsung has a giant, thick frame which makes it over 3mm wider. On first look you can't tell, because the screen itself has very thin black border, however, the actual titanium, bright frame of the phone makes the phone thick and impossible to use with one hand, even for people with big hands(like me).
    I owned ROG Phone 5 at one point which was a really wide boy (77.3mm), but S24 is even wider.
    Unless you are Shaq, you have to deal with the fact that it's a two-hand device 100% of the time, especially since you need to add a few millimeters for the case.
    It's ridiculous that it feels huge even compared to the absurdly enormous 14 Pro Max.
    OnePlus 12 feels absolutely amazing in the hand in comparison.
