Criticised for choosing a manager from Japan, Arsene Wenger repaid the faith shown by the Arsenal board by delivering the club's first Premier League title in 1998.

No doubt. He really cared for the club and actually knew a thing or two about football and loved the sport. Gazidis was just an accountant who had no clue and didn't care about football. And I don't even know what to say about Edu and the current board... Safe to say not even close to Dein.

I think it was more to do with who he sold the club to rather than him leaving 😂
      Might be wrong

Pat Rice not so much. You can't put his impact in the same category with Dein and Wenger.

David Dein didn't deserve the way Hill Wood and the rest of the board stabbed him in the back the way they did. To think they ended up selling their shares to Kroenke anyway. David Dein introduced Alisher Usmanov to the club for a reason and that was to inject huge funds. What did Hill Wood do? Stab Dein in the back and advise them all to sell their shares to Kroenke instead. Probably the worst mistake Hill Wood made before he passed.

He's still a regular at Arsenal games. One can hope at some stage he'll be reintroduced back to the board. Maybe with a new billionaire to take over from Kroneke.... one can dream...
