China’s media is heavily censored 🤬 so you’re not hearing anything about crimes.
In democracies, all news outlets are open.
In Communist China/North Korea any newscaster is already dead before real news is released to the public.
      Learn the difference.

@@levitabacug3377i dont need the media to tell me how it is . I experienced myself first hand . Like at the metrostations, on the streets, around the "point of interest" . The safety between paris or any big (or small city) in china is like night and day . In china you can walk safely at any time and anywhere without feeling danger or threatened . In paris its a whole different story. Same in the uk or us ....

You’re using 你吃了吗 incorrectly. Typically it’s used between close friends and family. If the answer is no, you’re kinda obliged to invite them to join you in a meal. And it doesn’t mean “have you eaten today?” The implied question is “have you had your meal yet?” In the morning, it refers to breakfast, midday refers to lunch and so on. To me, it sounds as weird in Chinese as it sounds in English.

"Ni Chi Ler Ma?" was used as a greeting 30 or 40 years ago in northern China. Nowadays the younger generations no longer perceive it as a greeting; instead, they consider it as a genuine question, and may feel confused when a foreigner ask them the question (Have you eaten?)

If you're going to use pinyin you just need to change it a bit... should be 'ni chi le me'. If you want to add 儿化音 to it, it would be on 'chi', like 'chi'r le ma', not on the 'le'. But best to just write it as 'chi le ma?' or 'chi fan le ma?'

In fact, China has a sad modern history. It was invaded by many countries and suffered from natural disasters, leaving many people hungry. When we met before, I said: Have you eaten? I am really asking you if you have eaten. If you have not eaten, no matter what food I have at that time, I will give you some. Now, China is rich and powerful, but: have you eaten it? This greeting is still traditional to this day. Let us not forget the pain of hunger and cherish the hard-won peaceful life now.

你吃了吗?(Did you eat today), actually only used when greeting a close friend, I think "nihao" is more appropriate to greet a stranger. But if you and the other person are gonna set down and talk for a bit, then "did you eat today" can be use in this circumstance to start the conversation. And if the other person answers that he didn't ate any food, the guy asking usually would buy him food or take him home for dinner. So anyway you should only greet a very close friend with "did you eat today". Most of the case "nihao" will be much natural. Love you videos.

Hahaha, I think "Ni Hao Ma" is a little weird in Chinese, you can just say "Ni Hao". The greeting "Did you eat" is usually used for someone you know, if you say this to people on the street, they might be a little confused.

I'm Chinese. just want you to know something about "NI CHI LE MA". You know that means do you eat today. that's right. but it has a hiding meaning is ' do you eat today? if you don't let me offer you something.' So normally we just ask to someone already knew. If you ask to a stranger this question, then you must know that you need to buy him some food if they reply ' No I don't' .

please don't say :ni chi le ma as how are you. the guy in Shanghai told you this but nobody says this way to a stranger. this is more common between friends and near meal time. in case you haven't eaten yet they can invite you to have meal together.
you can just say: night Hao. or ni hao ma.

    这个区域原先是想建设成一个旅游度假区的,所以造了很多景观,可惜失败了
    现在成为了一个居民住宅区, 算是起死回生了, 于是那些不实用景观就没有很好地维护了.

When you say "ni chi le ma?", I understand you want to show a friendly gesture like saying "How're you?". However, the difference is in some cultures people might prefer a little interaction with strangers, while a Chinese or a more Asian thing is just to say "Hello" to show friendliness without too much small talk at this phase. So the familiarity level for Chinese is "ni hao!/hello!" < "ni chi le ma?(have you eaten)/how're you" < "ni zui jin zen me yang?/what's you up to?" Meanwhile, in US or UK settings, usually "hello! = How're you?
