    I've been driving this car for about a month now, and I absolutely love it. Not only does it tick the boxes in things I find important in a car (efficiency, ecology, practicality and safety) but it delivers this in an avant-garde styling which is just top notch. I've driven to Berlin and back recently, which is 700+ km, and the ride was very comfortable, which to be honest I was not expecting from a car in this price range.
    I agree that the touch screen should've been more responsive, as in quicker to react, but it doesn't annoy me at this point. most functions are not things you should be doing whilst driving anyway, like going through that enormous list of stations when you can quick-pick.
    I disagree with the seating comments. I'm 6'23 and I have zero issue in finding a seating position which is comfortable and safe.

    Brilliant car, considering I went from a big engined BMW to a 1.2 cactus and it drives down motorways just as smoothly and just as stable.
    What surprised me the most is its ability to cruise effortlessly
    Love it!!!!!!!! And the comfort is awesome

    One of the most entertaining car reviews I've seen. I would like to have more of a detailed review of the ride and handling, on that doesn't make me want to reach for a snack....but maybe your audience doesn't want those details. Still, I enjoy watching, even if some of your cars aren't available here in Canada. Cheers.

    there is a lever on the drivers right side seat to lower the seat height. I use it in mine and it gives plenty of leg space. however rear leg room inevitably is less due to this

    ... happiness and joy... in Australia we get spilt rear seats!

  • @jonstride4616
    @jonstride4616 Před 8 lety +4

    No opening rear windows, no split folding seats, and no passenger side air vents - which is a shame as it is so clever in other areas. Too compromised for family use as a result.

    I simply raised the wheel up, lowered the seat, job done, and I'm 6'2"
    This is a great car, fun to drive, looks like nothing else on the road, even the Petrol 82 Bhp shifts a bit, and has a nice little growl to it!
    No, it's not laden with top spec luxury, but at the price, it looks a $Million, not £11k !!!!
    With anything there will always be compromise, if you are prepared to put up with a little, you will get a car that has something that most of the cars on the road don't have, character!
    This car turns heads, either out of admiration, or indeed bemusement!

      Had mine a week. I'm 6ft and have no probs with the seating. Very comfortable ride and yes, as an above comment states: raise the steering wheel a notch or two! I find it like a Tardis... loads of space front & back

    @alfamonk Před 8 lety

    you're right about the driving position..i'm 6'3 and it's not ideal..but i don't care. Picking mine up this weekend. Petrol 110 - quick-ish and characterful engine. The scrolling on the screen fiddle you can do that using the steering-wheel audio control, so there's ways round its foibles. I love it, need more cars with character like this.

      I'm only a wee bit shorter than you but find with raising the wheel and lowering the seat I have loads of space. I had a Megan previously and although I loved it, it's far less spacious.

    @honestjohn don't you find it dull and uninteresting. I have one at the moment for a hire car to travel long distance, and find that it's the sort of car you'd forget really quick as everything seems too basic

    I had the misfortune of having one of these as a hire car in Tenerife over the summer. It floated over the road in that it didn't just smooth out any road imperfections but totally removed any sense of what was going on. The (front) seats were squashy and comfortable to start with but lacked any support and became uncomfortable after a while. The engine (it was a lower powered diesel) was ok but the gearbox, which was an automated manual was truly appalling. When going up any sort of incline or accelerating (not harshly) on a flat road it would change gear at probably twice as long as it would take a driver to manually change gear; this resulted in very lurching progress. The car had 'flappy paddles' but using these in anticipation of the road ahead achieved nothing as no sooner had a suitable gear been selected the car would automatically select another gear eg approaching an uphill hairpin I would select a lower gear but just as the car settled into the bend the gearbox would lurch to a higher gear with the end result of the car not being able to pull through the bend unless I re-selected the gear previously chosen with yet another lurch. I have no idea whether this car is available in the UK with a standard manual gearbox, only if it is would I recommend someone take one for a test drive to decide if the ride / handling is acceptable for them. However if it is only available with an automated manual gearbox I couldn't ever recommend this vehicle.

    Can't open the rear window. That means it's useless for kids or adults in the back.
    Those air bump things... I like the styling but they're gimmicky.
    I like marmite and I nearly bought one of these. But essentially I prefer things that work generally. The citroen is too arrogant. I mean, why should the passenger need an air vent.

      It's a great wee car. Had mine a week and love it. Comfortable, economic, response, mine has split seat and the temperature and fan controls I find no less convenient than the buttons on my other cars. As for the Fabia? Hummm...
