35% Windshield Tint On My INFINITI Q50 (TOO DARK??!!)

- Well well well...
Finally went ahead and got the front windshield tinted in 35% ceramic tint. If you're also debating it, after having it on for over a month I can confidently say you should DO IT! It will make your car look that much better and you get more privacy. Also, ceramic tints also block heat and UV rays to a certain extent which means that in the summer your AC won't have to work as hard to cool down the interior. Let me know what you guys think below!

I got my windshield @ 35% and I find it perfect. I’ve always had my windshield tinted since high school on all my cars. I’ve owned 5 never have I been pulled over for it. Just don’t drive like an ass & 9/10 times you’ll get away with it.
That looks good. I've got 35 on the front and 15 on the rest of my q50. It makes a big difference in the overall look.

To avoid problems with the law, I always do 20 all around, and windshield with %40, it will end up looking like %35 in the end. I can see totally fine even at night.
I feel that’s the best combo. The windshield tint makes a HUGE difference.

I'm in Chicago, I've never gotten pulled over, here. I drive to some suburbs where it's different police, and still no issues.

I'm a window tinter and I own a 2018 q50 I have 20% all around and a 35% front windshield film is a carbon from suntek love it. When it rains or is misty it ALMOST gets hard to see out of

LOOKS SO GOOD WITH THE TINTS 😱😱😱 Interesting how it looks so much brighter than the widows during the day but at night but its the opposite just like youre saying. I wonder if it has anything to do with how its so blue without tints 😮 looking forward to seeing more photos of the car with the new tints!

Nice tint job looks fire. I got my car tinted 5% on the two sides and back 50% on the windshield with a 9 inch 5% stripe.I had it for about a year. I got a 175$ dollar ticket one time and the next time they let it go.
I got %5 all around and %20 full windshield. Even 20 at night isn’t bad at all I have no problem seeing.

I got 35% all around except the windshield 'cos I think it does take some visibility during the night. Also I got clear interior in my Q50 which brings more light during the day.
It very slightly affects the visibility at night tbh. I still need to adjust the headlights since the car has been lowered but I will update once it’s done!
I had 5% all around with 5% tunnel vision on the windshield(a 10 inch strip on the bottom and 12ish inch brow so it looks like you’re looking through a tank). It was sick and I went a full year before getting pulled over and I still didn’t have to take it off but I chose to cuz I wanted to go for another look

I have a 2012 Acura TL and I was worried about getting 35 percent on my windshield because I have 18 percent all around the rest of the car and I thought I wouldn't be able to see driving at night but your video helped me to see that you're still able to see everything with the headlights on. I always tell Acura owners that they have the best headlights out there in terms of light output. You probably won't even notice a difference once you get your windshield tinted 35% LOL

@@yoyobored847 I live in northern Nevada and in the city where I live cops don't seem to care about that. It seems there is bigger problems for them than over-tinted windows. I see a lot of cars that are tinted over the legal limit so I confirmed I'll be ok haha 😄
After watching your video I think my Altima is going to have 35% on the whole entire car. But you ain't kidding the windshield makes all the difference.
Bro I got a Red Camaro with 5% on the windows and 35% on windshield, my car definitely stands out and the cops never pulled me over, even had a cop once look at my car in the parking lot and said "Man that's a nice car and like the color" cops have way more important things to deal with then fuck with people about tint and I live in Florida too.
Seems like the perfect windshield tint percentage! I’m thinking of doing 35% windshield, but not sure if I’d get pulled over for it.
I feel like it really depends on how much ur front 2 window tints are already... if it’s dark then it might be an issue just don’t do anything too crazy 😅
@@AnishNothoo Right now I have the legal 25% on the front two windows. Thought of 50% for the windshield, but I feel 35% reduces glare better. I drive normally, but I feel like windshield tint is a stop for them 😂

I got my windows tinted yesterday. All windows except the back, now my friend telling me it’s illegal to tint the front 🤦🏻♂️. Why didn’t they tell me that at the tint shop lol
Window tint under a certain percentage is illegal but it varies from state to state, if you're doing under 45% you're already illegal at that point just get what you want.
LOL yeah it's illegal to tint the front windshield unless you have a medical exempt or something like that. Not sure how it works fully but you can work your way around it
I have a 45% on my Infiniti and 1% film over 15% films that are on my two front windows. 1% over my 5% in the back windows & then a 1% just on rear. Now thinking bout just going from the 45 to doing 35% like yours

I just did 35% on my windshield and it’s perfect. Not all ceramic tints are equal - mine is XPEL Prime XR.

Just did 20% on my 300 windshield and now I'm leaning towards 35%. 20% is top dark at night. It's not too bad but when there are no city lights around and pot holes be cautious
yeah... 35% is the sweet spot I find too. 50% too light and 20% is a little hard to drive with at night

You can do %20 all around but you will have to update your headlights and foglights to LED

That 35% looks good so does the Q50 but it's just a little to dark for me. I think my 40% is dark but I drive down a lot of country roads. I can't get how anyone would have anything darker and say they can see. I Tint for a living and I know anything under 35% is dark lol be safe out there!

Here in Nashville I had 5% all around on my old tiguan😂 5 in the front, 5 over factory in the back and only 50 on the windshield. Never got pulled over though😂

Great video my man. I truly appreciate you sharing and keeping this video up. This video pretty much sums up my months of research (I take my time with these things, I dig deep). I have 20% standard tint all around and will now be doing 5% standard tint for the back five windows of my Grand Cherokee and then 35% ceramic for the windshield. My concern was the visibility from the inside, but ceramic will give me that visibility. I think 35-50% range is the way to go. Any lower than 35% and you're asking for trouble.

Imo yes anything 40% n under is enough to throw off facial features of who, but still kinda see a silhouette,💁♂️ but anything under 30 will blackout the front entirely for full privacy💪
In my 98 Acura CL I wanted to go for 5 percent all around with 35% windshield. Has anyone had experience with those tints? Should I go up on the all around part?
I have 5% all around which I love. Just got my windshield I was gonna do 35% , he recommended 50% & it’s like nothing at all really ……. So I’m gonna take it back and get 35% . I was gonna do 30% windshield but that might be too dark …… lol. At night 50% looks good from the outside but during the day it looks clear from the outside like nothing at all ……….. so yea . If u like dark , do 5 all around & 35 windshield . I can see out of my car perfectly fine at 50% windshield so I’m thinking 35 can’t be that bad ………

On my Q50 I have 5% all around ceramics. windshield is 50% ceramic with a limo sunshade and it looks hd clear visible at night. Stardard tint is cheap and not visible at night
I've always wanted to do this but where I'm from you can't even have your front side windows tinted at all let alone your windshield. I would get pulled over on the first day lol

I been driving on 35% for just over half a year in the GTA. So far cops haven’t given me trouble and I love it. Only thing is I got to roll windows down at night when I’m parking in garage for visibility. Did you get pulled over ?

for windshield don't do anything darker than 35% cause at night or when it rains you'll regret it, but the rest of the windows go as dark as you want
yes it is ceramic tint and what David said above is right (35% max on front windshield)
I'd go with legal tint % athermal film, you can't see in from the windshield, but you're legal !

@@AnishNothoo Can be! As with anything, some tint is very pricey for a slightly higher % of heat deflection etc... Almost similar to gaining more HP...from stock its pretty cost efficient, but as you try to squeeze out even higher percentages the cost rises dramatically.

people don't even notice the difference on the inside but it definitely looks better outside. I say live with the 50% till end of its life and then switch to 35%

@@kingraffy5405 yeah you can see through looking straight on but there’s definitely a difference from no tint to 50%. The tint looks darker on the outside looking at an angle. I would honestly go with the 50% full windshield and tint the brow above the as1 line darker

no the installer actually cuts a slit in front of the lane assist camera so it doesn't interfere

not sure about the oncoming headlights but definitely reduces the intensity of the sunlight on those bright sunny days

I did adjust it and made sure it wasn't blinding others. Also the car was lowered so no chance it was going to be blinding anyone

not yet lol but I don't think cops really care anymore. more so if you have something against your plates or if you get pulled over for something else they can be dicks and slap the tint ticket but for the most part they don't care. Was in a drive thru sandwhiched by two cops and seemed to be alright

Privacy and with the heat! I'm not sayin git will block 100% of the heat but you can definitely feel the difference. As for the visibility at night, make sure you adjust your headlights like I showed in one of the recent videos and you should have no issues
i have my back side windows and back window 5% tint. i can’t see anything when i back up at night or see anyone in my blind spots at night. need a vehicle with a back up camera and blind spot monitoring 🌝

ceramic tints. I thought they were the premium version which also blocks more heat and UV? I could be wrong but that was the most expensive option at the time
50% is alittle better for a front windshield tbh. 35 is good but it's max darkness. 20 just sucks, it's too dark from the windshield. I like 20 on the front windows and 50 on the windshield
I respectfully disagree lol I've seen 50% on windshield and it looks like there's nothing on there. 20% like you said is too much specially for night drives so I feel like 35% is the sweet spot
got my car 5% all windows in back, 15% front windows, 50% windshield tint. 35 was too dark so got it removed
I got 20% all around and 35 on the front. I haven’t driven at night yet..so far the windshield on a cloudy day from the inside looks almost like normal...I will see tonight it’s it’s too dark
But more than likely it’s because your sides were already so dark.
