Das Schiff gehörte zur Kaiserlichen Marine, die es als Aviso in der Liste der Kriegsschiffe führte. Als Begleitschiff diente ab 1900 das Depeschenboot SMS Sleipner.

According to Wikipedia this ship was scrapped in the 1920's. Such a shame that someone did not preserve the ship because this ship saw a lot of history with many visits to it by famous people. I wish they had also preserved the Kaiser's cream and gold luxury train.
His train or part of it is in the DB museum in Nuremberg, but it may be a replica.

The train standing in the DB Museum is the train of the Bavarian King Ludwig II.
The train of Kaiser Wilhelm II is still existing in parts. So, for example, his private car is standing in the Technikmuseum Berlin.

Wunderschönes Schiff! Wäre heute ein "Vermögen" wert. Sollte man wie die "Titanic II" nach alten Plänen innen und Außen originalgetreu (mit umweltfreundlicher Maschinenanlage aber mit den 2 schönen Schornsteinen und der Takelage) nachbauen. Damit dann mit zahlungskräftigen Passagieren auf Reisen gehen! Wäre ein Traum und könnte mir vorstellen, das sich dieses Vorhaben "rechnen" könnte und die Fahrten ausgebucht wären!
Die Leute fahren doch lieber mit der AIDA ......

there where 3 ships who all had the same name all of them where scraped someone shut Rebuild the schip and make it the new state ship of Germany.
