For those asking why Astoria Boulevard is here, Astoria Boulevard was closed 9 months in 2019 and came in very low in ridership. The real least used station that should be on this list is 39th Avenue otherwise. If the station was renovated in 2018, it would not be here.
Thanks. I was surprised to find Astoria Blvd on here. Of course, construction is temporary.
Damn, felt like this series just started. This is such an underrated series
A mystical station episode of queensboro plaza with the history of Astoria/flushing would be awesome
I have it planned, but it might need to wait until the construction is complete.
I lived at Ditmars, and worked every line that went through Astoria Blvd. Years ago, An over height truck tore a hole in the token booth area and hit a stanchion. It's a major transfer to buses and serves the entire Upper Steinway area, including the police station. Before the 21/Queens bridge station opened, 39 Ave served that area.(in case of a transit emergency, people jumped off to go downstairs to 36 St on the IND. A city social services office was also near on Northern Blvd, also giving that station use.
Guess this is the end of an era. I was here since the 2 train video (i remember when it was linked to on the nycrail subreddit) and now it's done. I'm glad that it still doesn't mean the end of the channel or something like that.
Edit: also i'm glad that the series ended on a station with a nice view
Thank you for this least used station series, Mystic. it was a great one, we learned that some stations are least used or rarely used. Keep up the great work on your future videos! :D
You have a point here but when going from Lower Manhattan along Broadway to LGA it's used heavily by N train riders to M60sbs to LGA airport.
I've never been to new york city before, the amount of stations in NYC is crazy it would take me weeks to ride them all
I would love for u to make a story video for every line how it came to be
I have it planned
Looking forward to your E 180th St NYWB video!
This is the station I usually get off at when going to my college, as the M60 and Q19 are right there. But sometimes depending on the circumstances I take the 4 or 5 to 125th Street to catch the M60 there.
You need to talk about Queens project options
-Northen Blvd line
-7 train eastern Extension
-N train extension to La Guardia
-Port Washington line Subway conversion
The center express track has been unused since 2002. If the line ever extends to LGA, then it may become a weekday peak-direction express track like on the Pelham and Jamaica lines, since there would be many people traveling between Manhattan and LGA.
Thanks for completing this series Love the channel
I'd love to see a video on the history of the Astoria and Flushing lines.
i’ve been watching since around the 6 or 7 train video and it’s crazy that it’s done
this series was so nostalgic. sad to see this is the last video in the series. cool!
Amazing video well done man
Congratulations to advancing and can't wait to see the most used station series
you just posted this video 5 minutes ago and already have 70 views, keep up the good work!👍
I would like a video explaining the construction of the line
A look at the pre-RFK bridge area shows the station as 'Hoyt Av', which is the big boulevard that makes the bridge entrance. Astoria Blvd continues alongside to 11thSt. Fun fact: as you probably know, all the stations have abbreviations, yet Ditmars Blvd gets 'AST', while Astoria Blvd gets 'HOYT'.
Oh yeah drop the video about the history with the IRT
YESS MY FAVORITE LINE
Yes, history videos are great.
The N and W are my primary lines so I'd like to hear more about the construction of the Astoria line.
Can the 7 train run on the Astoria line i see the switchings at Queensbridge station?
sweet!
Although Astoria Boulevard is the least used station out of all of the other stations that are along the N/W strip and, quite frankly, just any other line ever, I happen to like the train station a lot hence why I did make frequent visits to it.
Can you explain whats going on with the 7 express? It only skips 4 stops now. They said it would return to normal in January.
The track base structure below the express tracks is being rebuilt, which is part of a station renewal project on the 7 line, this project along other projects on the 7 are severely delayed for some reason
The work is happening at the 61st street station by the way*
crazy
Not True! Actually You Can Transfer To The M60 Select Bus Service To Laguardia Airport👍👌!!!!
Because the station got renovated in 2019. It is pretty well used otherwise
I think this station was in spiderman homecoming and I frequently walk by there to go to burger king.
One more to go
What? Lol. When i take the train in the morning in astoria blvd its packed. You went around noon didn't you?
Just to let you know, I worked the end and all along. As a mortant to get my eyes boulevard. It was not that least you station for me
Mystiic 😃
Wtf I was just On the N/W today 😂😂😂
I would like to think it would be 39th not astoria Boulevard with the elevator on the weekends that platform is packed that weekdays two at times
Bring back longer videos
What they definitely need to do is to extend the N W trains to LaGuardia airport
@@leecornwell5632 true, I was talking about that he should make longer videos again
2019 was 5 years ago so I'm kinda thinking it it no longer the least used station anymore
Well this was the only year it has the least ridership
Awman, my guess of times square was wrong 😡
That's an interesting guess
astoria blvd is no where near a least used station lmfao
manhattanville depot is so mid
Garbage station.
why?
Will you make sure you have a Live camera 🤳 with pre-recorded videos 📸 on CTA system systemwide, including Red-Purple Mordenzation project between RPB and LBMM segments & also Between Loyola and Howard Red ♥️ Line Train 🚃 stations 🚉.
I would like a video explaining the construction of the line
I love when you do the iRT 8 Thrid Ave Elevated line videos
