14:23 this made the day
Seeing those frames on flat cars brings back memories. As a kid growing up in Chicago in the 1960s, I lived a Block and a half from the Belt Railway tracks. Once in a while there would would be 2 flat cars in the train loaded with truck frames loaded near vertically on those cars. The frames were securely chained down. Thanks for the memories ! :
That '57 Bel Air was gorgeous!
Thanks for the grab bag, and wow that police car was just 30 seconds short of catching that hit and run 🎉
Don Adams: "Missed it by that much."
@@bowlinerailfanYou mean Maxwell Smart, the lead character of 'Get Smart' played by Don Adams. It was my Friday night 'must watch' show when I was a kid 📺
@@citibear57 Thank you. I had trouble remembering the character's first name, but I remembered who'd played him, which is why I used that name. My apologies if I got you upset. I hadn't seen much episodes of it and it's been awhile since I've seen an episode. It's a good show; what channels I got over the years just rarely aired it.
@@bowlinerailfan Upset? Not at all. Actually, I was really happy to see that you mentioned it. It brought back memories of my childhood, and Friday nights, which was when the show aired here. It was a great way to start the weekend! I haven't seen that show in 50+ years. How time flies huh? Watching VR's Grab Bags are a lot more entertaining to me now 😊👍
Hit and run? When? I didn't see any
"1234" hey that's the same code I put on my luggage! Remind me later to change the code on my luggage...
Oh, your luggage isn’t matched like mine huh? I just had a gorgeous flight attendant that looks to give great helmet
Spacewalks luggage joke as well.
😂
That blast was a BLAST! By the sound of it, someone ehm… ‘wet’ their pants too.
@@clauslr lol
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in multiple locations, especially the Heritage Units, an adorable animal in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, events in Chehalis, Washington, hit and run in La Grange, Kentucky, a steam engine in Kansas City, Missouri, and so much more, I like them, they're awesome, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much.
Super Grab Bag, thank you VRF. CP 2816 looked and sounded fantastic. The Controlled Explosion at Kansas City was a credit to all concerned. One thing I always like about Roanoke is there are plenty of EMDs and they are nearly always moving at a steady, sedate pace.
CP 2816 rolling straight down with its final spike tour!
I was happy to see the diesel with new paint scheme also.
2816 was beautiful !!
at 6:10, it was a real treat seeing Canadian Pacific 2816 go through Santa Fe Junction! Then, at 8:43, the BIG blast!
Great video. I had a blast watching it.
LOL!
I love seeing the interesting items they carry on the flatbeds.
Yeah Especialy The Opera Styled Centerbeams Which We're Being Sold To The Other Companies
Cool to see the engineer at 12:19 giving a salute to the Railcam
another great video virtual railfan 🫡🖤
Loved the 2816 event and seeing the cpkc livery too.
Great video!
The demolition at Kansas City was well done to avoid damage to the rail lines. I hope the observers were wearing masks as you wouldn’t want to be breathing in old concrete dust.
All the demo crew wore PPE. Didn't see many citizens masked.
Makes sense why that camera was locked behind a paywall too
Hit and run had to be from the west end of Louisville they always do that ! No insurance bad tags or carrying drugs .
I love the new paint on ES44AC CPKC 9375. I also love that Canadian Pacific 2816 occurred with the ES44AC
Me too...
@@davehughesfarm7983 yeah, that is a very good catch for one of the grab bags in the video.
With two different Conrail heritage units on the rails, be interesting to see when they are coupled together on the same consist.
Wow great grab bag 9:00 min
No mention of 2816 in the grab bag title - Very nice surprise. Thanks another great one.
Great Grab Bag as Always. Thanks! 👍🙏
Great video Virtual Railfan! Keep it up!
Love The Boat
I guess they will spray the barge with some flex seal and all is good
Blew up real good.
Wow NS 1234 that’s cool
But not that cool to show it twice
Quite the demolishing job.
21:59 The Golden Swoosh - one of a kind
WOW loved Thanks VRF ❤
GE meets EMD in Roanoke, nice footage of CP 4-6-4,nice lash up in LaPlata, great video!🛤🚂
9:10 for the implosion!
Welp.
There goes The Building.
Its just goes to show you'll never what to expect whether its someone doing a possible felony of a hit-n-run or as in this case as the biggest item in this grab-bag, The first time a "Railcam" captured a building implosion!
Great Gab Bag !
*Awesome Catches*
21:50 What a beautiful looking Chevy Bel Air
Hi Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
6:12 Canadian Pacific 2816, also known as the "Empress", is a preserved class "H-1b" 4-6-4 Hudson-type steam locomotive built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in December 1930 for the Canadian Pacific Railway. It is the only non-streamlined H1 Hudson to have survived into preservation. Thanks for showcasing this beautiful locomotive! 🚂
And Thank You for providing the information. Saved a few searches.
Not only hit in run in front of a live stream camera but a cop too🤣🤣
Kansas City had things going on....Good to see the new paint scheme.
I was able to see 2816 in person as the first standard gauge steamer I’ve ever seen. Was incredible
That La Grange cop didn't seem interested in chasing down that hit & run.
He probably didn't see it. He appeared to be searching for someone on foot.
Nice those 2 reefers in Roanoke. Too bad, not the train on 05/19 through Kearney wich had 11 (!) reefers with names. Did forgot to write in the chat about it....
I was unaware of CPKC swapping in the unit with the new paint scheme on the steam excursion. Good way to promote the new image. The old and new together.
I liked it too..
9:14 not every day you see an implosion on grab bag
That Hit and Run was insane. But then the cop comes driving by a minute later and kept on going? SMH! Loved the Steam locomotive engine in KCMO. Bldg demo in the east bottoms there was well done! Great video VR! Thanks!
Looked like that LEO was shining a spotlight around?
@@TinkerTailor4303 I noticrd that too. Perhaps Mr. Hit and Run was leaving a crime scene when he T-boned the other car.
Remember, if your solution to a problem is to call the police, now you have two problems.
That implosion went fast
fox is doing Darwin patrol
16:22 An ACE with sequential 1-2-3-4….isn’t that a “Straight”? 🃏
I am wondering how the echo of train horns will change at the location of the Kansas City implosion.
What a picture-perfect demolition--I wish they were all like that. The fox was beautiful, and it was nice to see the wide age range among the railfans at the Chehalis event. It was also very good to see CP 2816--she is gorgeous, and so is her voice! Thanks for another great one!
Boom!❤.
I think you missed something in Santa Fe Junction at 9PM…
You know it's getting strange when the train video people become the Tornado and Surveillance people
WOW WHAT A GREAT TEASER!!
hope I don’t miss the next one !!
1:20 One of Tucson's regular visitors.
Well I got the number 1234 now they need the 5678
The building going down was cool! Wasn't there a building in the wedge-shaped lot between that building and the camera? If so, when did that come down? I hadn't viewed that camera in a couple of years.
Wow, 2816 is owned and operated by CPKC.
@21:16 there’s 2 CSX engines switching
More great train action here with a lot of awesome trains and you don't know what you will see
a building in Kansas City being demolished, a fender bender accident in La Grange which was really
weird wasn't it but still a great week of exciting trains Thanks.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
St Louis?! Bite your tongue!! It was Kansas City.
@@TinkerTailor4303 HAHAHAHA
1234 Asbestos!
5:36 well officer is saw everything
16:39 my friend saw this train one time in pennsylvania
9:21, There it goes!

8:46 for boom
Textbook implosion demolition in KC.
The Ridenour-Baker Grocery Company Building in Kansas City, Missouri was a commercial building constructed in 1910 by the Ridenour-Baker Grocery Company. It was the first wholesale grocery building west of the Mississippi River to be located on the path of a railway, where goods could be shipped into it directly.[2] The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
Sad to see people cheering for the tearing down of a historic building.
Is That a DC NRHS Logo Thing in Roanoke Virginia?!
Oooo. A cliffhanger.
6:46, It's CP 2816!
Don't those demolished building watchers remember what happened to the 911 dust inhalers! 😮
They are a safe distance away from the implosion
The whistle on 2816 sounds better. It didn't seem like it was working correctly. And what happened to the two FP-9s in heritage scheme?
I find it funny how crazy people get over the old cpr scheme.
what timestamp is the demolition?
Looked at that bldg a few times on earth/maps because of the KC cam, kinda sad to see it go.
I was thinking of going to the Chehalis meet-up, but I could find no further information about it other than the line on their camera view.
surprised there was no dust control
"Fox On The Run"
Did Reve Bear go on vacation? Has not made an appearance in a while
6:11 CP 2816
The Canadian Hudson in the USA
That Baker Building was built in 1910, and listed as a Historic Landmark in 2014, so It should've never been torn down
If you saw inside, you would see lots of graffiti and it was in the way of future projects
@VWdabug Still it was listed on the National Register Of Historic Places, meaning it was supposed to be protected from being demolished or worse.
😀😀😀👍👍
The new Fnaf jump scare 0:09
hi just seen 4472 at 15;43 i didnt know they have the flying scotsman number lol anyway great vids as always keep the vids going virtual railfan from the nutman uk southampton
Where are those Dash-9s going after rebuild?
9:24 the camera quality reminds me of the 9/11 tragedy when the towers were collapsing
We're Coo coo for Choo Choos 😂
R&B bld in KC.
I remember for years after that was a bakery and grocery warehouse that was the home of weld racing wheels.
But then they got another location in the early 2000s and moved somewhere else in Kansas City.
Sad to see it go. Did lots of photography of it.
How many times does that happen on here
anybody know what happend to the horseshoe cam?????
It’s down due to ISP issues. We are working with the host to resolve.
9:20 What was that building? When was it built? What is its history?
Nevermind. I did a search on it and got some good historical hits.
At least I got onto the railcam twice that week from after getting 21 trains there on Saturday at the Railfan meet up, which has good power, NS Leader, and KCS Leader, and good crews, and then after that, Sunday I ran back to the cam before going home and wave and then get another KCS Leader but it was a KCS Ace Leading.
wHAT IS THAT BIG GREY THING?
train
7:26, There's CPKC 9375!
Nice grab bag, but very disappointed in the video quality in the runby of 2816 Empress engine in SFJ. Not the usual very high quality from VRF. What happened?
stream went down like 3-4 times and literally only came back up 10 seconds before that. They were having some major quality and overload issues that night being highly anticipated.
Hi Jeff, that time of the day is not conductive to good videos, especially with a bright background. It's really tough on the camera. Trust us, no one wanted to get a good video catch more than us at VRF.
@@joepeach997 Thanks Joe. Cheers.
The lighting situation isn’t the greatest there. The industrial security lighting makes it impossible to get sharp images at night.
If there's 1234 where's 5678
