- It stands to reason that Hera Syndulla met Han Solo at some point during the Original Trilogy, possibly even prior to the Battle of Hoth. During The Battle of Endor and the events that unfolded in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Hera actually speaks with Han Solo after Leia sent him on an errand. This is an edit of a clip from Star Wars: Forces of Destiny.

Retcon crap. The individual series are enjoyable on their own. This need to shoehorn in characters to the original story shows how far Disney balls this up. They see this as their only way to win back the original fanbase. Clone Wars is good. Rebels ok. Rogue one very good. Solo had promise. Mandalorian is true to Lucas original vision. Bad Batch looks OK. Depends how it ends. Force Awakens, Last Jedi and Rise are all rubbish virtue signalling films. Same as that Destiny rubbish.
And Both Pilot/Owners were Fucking AWESOME .

Millenium Falcon was FASTER . Ghost MUCH sturdier . Both Corelian built Small Freighters .

I wonder where Hera was during Yavin? Since she was involved in Scarif and Endor too.
Given how quickly the end of Rogue One followed into A New Hope, I don't think Hera and Rex would've had time to return to Yavin IV to participate.
I don't think she took part in the attack on the Death Star but she was involved indirectly.

I’m really not surprised cause Hera was in a lot of battles too get rid of the empire & meeting up with Solo doesn’t surprise me at all.
It’s bad that Han has more character dev in this than in the sequels, Han was able to say that the falcon was “worse” than the ghost because he was a lot humbler than himself in a new hope, in which he’d never “admit” it, especially for the stormtroopers
I hate how they made Han a deadbeat at least Leia makes sense since the government needs developing at least have him travel with Ben

Han and Hera served the rebellion for years, not weird at all
Leia was an Important person from the Planet of Alderan. Hera was an Important person from Ryloth. Both of them had connections to the Rebellion from the very beginning. Once the Rebellion became a full scale war Han helped lead them in many battles. Why shouldn't they have the same rank? Should a person who was a Senator/Princess of a planet have more rank than other people who took leadership positions in the Rebellion and did well at their jobs? Should an Important person from Alderan get higher ranking then an Important person from Ryloth?

Yes, the Ghost is superior to the Falcon. The Falcon is FASTER but that is it. The Ghost is far more reliable, versatile, better armed, and tougher. It is also well maintained. The Falcon is none of those things.

To me this proved that Disney respect Lucas work. And for those who want to prove me otherwise with the sequels here’s 4 things:
1. Mandalorian (serie created by the yesman responsible of the remake of lion king)
2. Bad batch (spin off of tcw)
3. You act like prequels haters even if you like the prequels which is ironic
4. The only bad Star Wars is the Christmas Special of 1978 which isn’t made by Disney
number 4 isn't quite right, the last jedi and the rise of skywalker were bad.
Disney is not some big entity that wants to trash Star Wars... well, it is an entity of sorts but it consists of people and different creatives that have their own vision of how Star Wars should be handled moving forward and what will appeal to certain audiences.
