- 2008 NNBS 5.3 with eBay long tube headers and y-pipe. Let me know if you guys want a driving video of it and wide-open pulls. #gmc #exhaust #longtubes #streetruck #nnbs #burnouts #racetruck #gmcsierra1500 #texasstrrettrucks #22x12's #straightpipe #muffler
When you can I'd get a cam in that thing. Should sound super sick
Nice, I got the longtube on 6.0 swap with Flowmaster super 40. Hate the drone hum while cruising or when converter locks. Thinking of straight pipes or a through flow design muffler
Badass!
love the truck!! what kind of lift do you have?
Twin. I have an 07 but its close enough.
needs true dual:) but still great. let the bald eagles fly high.
with x pipe, the clap with true duals just sounds so bad
@@dameanbible1694 you mean more like h pipe since its a truck.
@@bubblelex5051 yeah definitely, anything other than clapping, we ain't cheering for nobody lmao
I like the single outlet sounds great
Do know which headers you got
What rpm is it at idle?
What size lift?
I got a 2016 with eBay longtubes and CAI. I’m looking to do straight pipe or pipes before I tune it. What would you recommend?
Wouldn't recommend full straight pipe single with long tubes mine sounded SOOOO bad
@@jacknelson9440 shorty headers and a straight pipe sound good tho
Did you need 02 sensor extensions for the front sensors Thanks
Sounds sick!!!
No I needed zero extensions, All went together good.
@@Nathan_Amadorr ok Thanks!!!!
@@Nathan_Amadorr did u get it tune for the check engine light?
@@oswaldozavala8182 nah I never did I let it be on hahaha got tired of paying for hot smogs so it’s back to stock now
Idk if you still on here but how did you raise the idle? Tune or ?
I have a hand held that I raised it with about a 100rpm and it idles real good
Get a carven r performance muffler they sound really good with headers
Won't sound better than this and Won't be louder. Mufflers "muffle" sound
@@hunterkembel5012 well no duh thanks for telling us how mufflers work and maybe you haven't heard carven exhausts before but they certainly sound a lot better than clapped out straight pipes
@@chrishansen7004 depends on how you run it. Nobody said anything about straight pipes. You assumed I meant straight pipes bc I said no mufflers. I prefer and x pipe with headers. And also I do like carven mufflers. Borla and corsa. Thanks
@@chrishansen7004 This ain't clapped💀💀
@@chrishansen7004 Carven exhausts suck.
Can you drop the link for the headers. I have the exact same truck but just want to make sure about the fitment

That link is the exact same headers I ordered
I appreciate it man. I got a build going on and just need some headers and the fitment on those look perfect.
@@bonifaciorodriguez8664 honestly it was just take the stock headers and y-pipe off and these bolted right up I thought I was going to have to ding the headers but everything fit perfectly!
Did you have any rubbing or issues or the steering column ? So it bolted right up to the stock exhaust?
Did you have to tune your truck after installing the headers?
Not a custom tune no, I had to up the idle about 150 rpm in drive for it to idle steady. When I first did them the truck wanted to surge because the idle was low after I removed all the cats.
You messed up with that stainless intake pipe lets heat soak in from the engine bay. Change it to a ceramic intake tube
Never heard of a ceramic intake tube I will look into that
Just get the thermal gold wrap and put on it
Kinda sounds like a duramax
What’s the link to them heades
Headers
sounds like when I take a massive loose crap
You must be packed out😂
What size rims and tires
They are 22x12 with -44 offset on a 35x12.50
@@Nathan_Amadorr by how much more gas did it waste compared to stock
@@Nathan_Amadorr what brand?
What headers

How much lift is on the truck
It had a 6” lift block and a 2” level under the strut so around 7-8” of lift in the front I believe the back was around 2” lower
@@Nathan_Amadorr ok nice
LMG Ls ?? gen 4 ??
does this have the AFM and DOD bullshit?
you got an ig i’m trynna ask you some questions
Yeah hit me up @Nathan_amadorr
