I am so glad someone is calling out Diana. She has mental problems. Everyone acts like she was an angel sent to earth.

Diana had a rough childhood with her mother leaving when she was young, her father really wanting a son, and being sent off to boarding school at a young age. She craved love - but married the wrong man. Charles was older, already in love with Camilla, and had little in common with Diana. She did what she could to get Charles to pay attention to her. In the end she smothered her children with love to make up for all the love she missed in her life. She apparently drove the other men in her life crazy calling them hundreds of times because she wanted attention. Diana was a lovely person who did a lot for the charities she supported, and truly was loved by millions of people - but she really needed a man in her life devoted to her to give her the love she needed. I wouldn’t say she had mental problems.
Harry on the other hand seems to have a lot of mental issues. He’s mentally stuck as a child. He seems to always see himself as a victim. He’s done a lot of drugs, and I’m really wondering if he has some brain damage. I also wonder if he has some ADHD and Dyslexia . He might have some PTSD from his mother passing away.

@lostcontrol1981...I agree with you. Diana's mother took off with a man. Don't think she seen Diana often. Is Diana's brother younger? The thing that doesn't get much attention. Charles had to find a wife. He actually dated Diana's sister for a short time. Diana knew he had to marry a virgin. Friends said she had her eye on him is why she didn't try to get a serious boyfriend. Diana wasn't a good student. She didn't like her step mother. She went off to a finishing school. Her father allowed her to leave school. She moved into an apartment in London, probably family owned. Diana was a member of the aristocracy. She knew the rules.

Prince Philip had a terrible childhood he was born as a prince but when he was a baby they had to flee into exile. When he was a young boy his father abandoned the family and his mother was committed to an asylum. Philip was sent away to boarding school in The UK and to live with his uncle’s family. He learned to be self reliant and later he gave up his career in the royal navy to support the queen. Harry should have used his grandfather as an example instead of criticising him and whining about absolutely everything.

Prince Philip did the best he could, of what he had to face in life. He lived a fascinating life, and had his share of hardships, and met an ever changing world around him. The more I hear Hypocrite Harry’s sob story, the more annoyed I become. It is sad that Dianna was killed when he was 12, I agree with that. However many children lost a parent at a young age, myself included. My father passed when I was six, and my mother had to work full time to support us, so I was a latch key kid. We didn’t have a lot of money, and lived in a one room apartment for years until we could afford a bigger place. We didn’t have a car, or a TV, because there wasn’t enough money for that. We didn’t take vacations, or eat out very often. It wasn’t an easy childhood, but apparently my childhood was way better than this spoiled prince, because I didn’t wallow in my self pity, nor did I grow up to be angry and blame the world for my problems. He is such a miserable person, and really for no good reason, and this book is making me dislike him more and more.

There’s literally a public court circular detailing all activities & engagements of all working Royals available online.
Sorry, but Diana had great respect for the Queen & Monarchy. Prince Philip & the Queen were fond of Diana, and largely held Charles responsible for the failure of their marriage, despite knowing that Diana had a long term affair with her married bodyguard. Even after their separation & divorce, the Queen insisted that Diana remain living in her Royal apartments to be close to her boys, & still financed Diana’s lifestyle & charity commitments.
Charles felt responsible for Diana’s death & spent years in therapy. The suggestion that therapy was ‘not allowed’ for any Royal member is utter BS.

Many people do not know these things. Thank you for pointing out I’m getting tired of repeating myself 🤣🤣. Diana ran the halls of Windsor castle as a child with Andrew and Edward they found secret passages and hidden corridors no one even knew of. The Spencer family had served the Crown for hundreds of years. There are many family Aristocratic ties. Diana was the only person who could sit outside the Queens day meeting room and when a person left she would run in crying she called her mum. There was a deep affection ….. the Queen felt for her but DID NOT understand her mental and emotional craziness. Philip tried to talk sense to her that if she focused on service and others ….. that part they did not understand they came from the generation YOU JUST GOT ON WITH IT

I laughed out loud when you said Harry wanted to be a ski instructor 😂. Was that really in the book? Sarah Forsyth, a former art teacher at Eton College, won her case for unfair dismissal against the school, during which she said she had written the text to accompany the paintings the prince submitted for his A-level art project. She was awarded £45,000 pounds. It is a well established tradition that all Princes in the British monarchy spend time in the armed forces. I think what his father was saying to Harry is he should make it his career. Unfortunately Harry couldn’t progress along the ranks…he wasn’t clever enough. That’s the reason he retired from the army when he did. The Invictus games were then set up for Harry to keep him out of mischief.

Somewhere on CZcams is a video of William and Harry, circa 2015, talking about their father. Apparently he always went to their school plays, sometimes with Prince Philip in tow, and they both used to laugh when no one else was laughing. Apparently Charles has a very loud laugh, too. In this 2015 video, though, both boys seemed now to find it amusing - as you would once you look back through adult eyes. William spoke of his play in which his arrival on stage was supposed to be accompanied by a sound effect, but the effect was delayed. His father was in fits and William spoke of giving him "the death stare" - but he was laughing at the memory. As was Harry when recalling his plays. The thing is, both boys were talking about prep school plays, so as far back as childhood, they knew what to expect from Charles and Philip. Charles has a very quirky sense of humour and would likely see something amusing where others might not, so why Harry would suddenly find his father's laughter a shocker at age 18 is odd. Especially as a few years ago he found it amusing.

"They think you're lazy because you are. They didn't just come up with it, out of the random blue." YES! My ex-husband is the laziest person I've ever known. Early on in our marriage, he told me, on a number of occasions, "I know you all think I'm lazy," and I'd resisted the (very strong) urge to ask, in reply, "And why do you think that is?" Out of my entire, very large, extended family, not two of us had never agreed about a single issue, but we all somehow came to the conclusion that my ex was lazy. That was some kinda coincidence.
Thank you for reading this, so we don't have to. Yes, you've nailed it: it's so hilariously deluded that it's entertaining. It's also infuriating, but in a therapeutic way. For those of us who've had to deal with other Harrys, and who've been faced with their gaslighting, he's brought some understanding of how very much someone can twist absolutely everything in order to feel wronged.

Certainly nothing wrong with being a ski instructor, it’s just that Harry won the lottery being born into a family that gives him opportunity to have meaning in life that billions around the world would dream of. But his reasoning of wanting to be a ski instructor is not meaningful when he talks about just wanting to ski and each cheese. It would be different if it was a real passion he wanted to share with others, that has more meaning behind it.
His aunt loved horse riding so much she participated in competitions, along with being a royal. Princess took the value of being a Princess first but appreciated the chance to explore her love of horse riding. Her ambition was shared to her daughter Zara who in term has made her own little niche into horse riding that she competed too. Both of these ladies worked hard to prove their worth in equestrian that they both competed in the Olympics.
Harry didn’t show any of the same drive of why he wanted to be a ski instructor. To him it sounded like a hobby that he wasn’t interested in developing more than just the limits.

Harry didn’t really say anything about the Queen that Charles hadn’t already said about her in his biography, i.e. that she wasn’t lovingly demonstrative and hadn’t really been around when Charles was growing up. The thing that bothers me about Harry’s biography is that, like you said, he will make his father or grandmother or even his brother sound really good and loving in their dialogue with him, but then turn around and say that they’re horrible. It’s very confusing. Also, every time Harry calls his dad Pa, I immediately think of Little House on the Prairie, I can’t help it. Lol

I don't think Pa would have said that he was held back per se, but it is entirely possible that he said he couldn't do anything that would take something away from the Monarchy, although what that actually means is "the Monarch" - not the institution. That's not a Harry-type whinge, it's a rule in the family. The Monarch - in this case the Queen - is the Head of State and so she is, and must be, the focus point. All the other royals are like a supporting team. None of them could overshadow her. Engagement-wise, the working royals do their best not to overshadow each other. So if William and Catherine went off on a tour - which would have been planned by government for a reason - then the main focus is going to be on them, and no other big royal event will coincide and compete with that tour.
One example might be the fact that although William and Catherine married in April 2011, George was not born until July 2013. Normally, royal couples start their families immediately. It wasn't the case that William and Catherine couldn't conceive until late 2012, it's that they deliberately delayed trying because of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee that year. To have had a royal birth - and the birth of a future King or Queen - in 2012 would have overshadowed the Jubilee.

Eton is an academic 'sweat house'. Most if not all the boys who attend are academically very strong. The only reason why they would have offered a place to Harry is because he is a Prince and his brother was there. Whoever made the decision to take him there made a huge mistake. The big lesson for parents is to as much as possible identify a school that suits your childs needs and will allow him or her to thrive. Harry needed a less famous school that took in mixed ability students and which had a softer and kinder approach to learning. To be surrounded by super bright kids can be very intimidating and to constantly be bottom of the class does nothing for confidence. The only way he could garner attention was to be the class clown or the class disrupter. Pity really...

Just a thought about the Queen and hugs …. maybe people hug a lot more nowadays in general, but when I was growing up in Britain, I remember some families being very huggy and others not, my family for example weren’t particularly huggy. Despite not coming from a huggy family, I’m a hugger but I don’t think hugging is the be all and end all of showing your love. There are SO MANY ways a parent, a sister, a brother, a friend, etc. can show his/her love. My 89 year old father has been a very caring, loving father and he showed that love in so many other ways, but growing up he wasn’t particularly a hugger. That hasn’t stopped me feeling close to him and feeling his love. I don’t think we can even begin to imagine the responsabilities the Queen carried on her shoulders and how difficult it must have been to juggle family life and her duties. When we look back on thousands of photos, we can see a woman who loved both her family and her country and whether she hugged or not does not take that away from her. Actually I believe the Aristocrats of that time were not typically affectionate with their children. But there is a difference between being reserved and being cold. It was hard for them to express affection. Given how Prince Philip raised Prince Charles (now the King ) it’s not surprising he found it hard to show affection. It’s therefore amazing that he made such an effort to show his love for Harry. Do you think Prince Philip wrote notes for him?
In Victorian Britain (and other places) Aristocratic parents left the children with nurses and nannies. Often they saw children only an hour a day. The children didn’t join parents for much time until they were teenagers. Each generation after that got better, but until Diana Aristocrats still sent their sons to boarding school at age 7. So not hugging children, except when they were very young, would have not been unusual-and not an indication of a lack of feeling.

Harry thinks he’s Diana Spencer incarnate but he’s more Windsor than any of them, Margot and Andrew spring to mind. Jealous of Willy because he got the Spencer genes and the attitude, searching for perfection ( and failing ) in the father who didn’t know what to do with his poor bereaved son. Believing the media hype around his grandparents, the same media that invented ‘his’ spare persona created the same one about his aunt Margot and uncle Andrew - but he takes offence whilst believing the same crap written about the rest of his family - not hugging in public is a very
British thing and there is actual footage of the queen with her her grandchildren being very affection. The guys damaged, obviously struggled educationally, stunted emotionally and in maturity but was blessed in to a life that meant it didn’t always have to be like this, In a world where he could have been anything, he chose to be a nasty little s**t

Not hugging, and overly and constantly emoting is also not a Russian or Asian thing. Yet people love each other and their kids. Those things aren't a requisite to show or realize that one is loving and loved.

There’s a lot of mental illness on the Spencer side. William got the best of each side - Spencer looks, Windsor fortitude.

Spencer genes are not all that perfect. Diana's Grandfather was pretty violent. Also it's Great Aunt Margaret, she was Granny's sister. Andrew is Pa's brother

Our late Queen was just wonderful. I hate the fact he spolit the illusion she was loving the concert but lets be honest, it makes sense she had ear plugs. HM the Queen was the ultimate professional and understood work from social events. Prince William and Princess Catherine understand this too. Hazbeen and wife blurred the lines. Haz has lost so much love and respect from the People. Wife was accepted and they shoved it all back.

@@cheeredenise For entertainment purposes I would love it!! But for the Royal family I wish they would shut up and write a book about wellness or a photography book of A Day in the Life of Botswana. They really should go away to Africa for a while, but I'm not sure Meghan, the humanitarian, would go. I might buy a book of Africa photos.

I do have some sympathy with him for being stupid and sensitive about it. Especially lacking a demonstrative parent to make him feel OK about himself. I even sympathise about not being able to get rat-arsed or even experiment with drugs without being called out in public. Retaining that grievance into your late thirties without any sign of moving on or taking responsibility and WRITING A BOOK ABOUT IT? Unbelievable.

By continually saying how good she was and trying to paint his father as the only sinner in their marriage, unfortunately it's bringing all Diana's faults and misdeeds to light and tarnishing her memory and legacy.

I will say something very controversial in our culture. Pride (being proud) has two sides. One side is being overly taken with one's gifts as if they were not gifts but self created. The other is being so self critical of oneself and ones supposed absence of gifts that one denies the giver of gifts who gives everyone a blessing of gifts. Both sides are obnoxious and sinful. And I say this as one who has had to learn that self-imolation over my failings is pretty darned obnoxious to anyone who comes within 10 feet of me. Learning to be grateful for what we have is humility. Resentment and envy that we don't have what others do is just wicked pride and quite obnoxious. Others will only tolerate either side of the coin for so long before they give up trying to fix us.

Well, now we know what happened to the sap... he took a gap year and never returned. He lives by Moses' timeline. Moses too was running from royal family and got lost for 40 darn years. Moses also had some "out of this world" experiences involving burning foliage as well! Moses parted the sea in his search of the promise land. Harry departed over the seas to find his... they both failed.
Every time you say, "Pa," I picture King Charles in an episode of Little House on the Prairie... makes me grin ea time.
Oh, and wtf is going on in Europe? I bought a new car 2 days ago... it so tech complex and disturbingly advanced that I snap my seat belt prior to pushing the start button for fear it may eject me into the Atlantic... I live in Louisiana btw.
