70 wpm - What 70 words per minute looks like

The average typing speed is around 40 words per minute (wpm). If you want to be very productive, you should aim for a typing speed of 65 to 70 words per minute. It's easy with the right technique Touch Typing!

Interesting to see the differentiation in typing styles. I type about 75wpm on average, but while she is incredibly steady in her speed, I have a lot more speed bursts with more pauses in between certain words. Whatever gets it done. :)

That's what happens when you slow yourself down. It's normal to have those when you're going fast. I like trying to do that smooth typing regardless of my speed just for fun and to improve accuracy.

yes, for regular pc users you can say 70 wpm is not a big deal. but there's lot of people who don't even know how to touch type.
