    The tutorial is amazing and the sewing techniques are professional unlike many other videos. I’m gonna list down the challenges I faced while sewing this top- since I’ve attached the straps to the back panel first, I couldn’t do the method she showed for the front panel, so I used the same method(for attaching straps) for both front and back panels.
    The armhole 11 cm was less for me, so it’s a lil tight near the armhole area
    The cowl drape I took 42 cm just like her, but the neck was way too deep. ( gonna take 5-6cm less next time )
    So these are the mistakes/ difficulties I faced when i sewed this top.
    But hats off to the tutorial, really liked the way it was presented.
    Thankyou sm
    Hope this is gonna help y’all

    i was looking for a method where the facing wasnt separately attached to the cowl, this method is so much more professional than what ever else i have seen

    Okay I do have a question. When you said you laid the piece wrong side facing, did you have the inside of the fabrics facing or the outside? Because my mind tells me to put the outside of the fabrics together and sew then flip it. But if you put thw inside of the fabrics together and sewed wouldn't the straps be on the inside?

      I believe it was a crushed satin, I can’t exactly remember now, thank you! 💕

    Hi, nice video. I can't understand the strap part, I can't get it right, the strap stays in the wrong side of the top (the inside).

      @InspiredByMyah  Před 3 lety

      Hi, thank you! Because I was doing French seams I had to place the strap on top of the fabric (on the right side) instead of inside. But if you were to sew it up normally with the right sides facing you would trap the straps in between the layers. Hope that makes sense 😊

    Woooowww ,, girl,, you have a great computer skill ,, but, why didn't you fold the material diagonally ??? Which is very important/the main point of cowlneck ,, 🙄🤔🙄🤔🙄

      Thank you! Good point, I found that my fabric draped very well both ways, so I didn’t think it was necessary for me to do so.

    EDITED: So, this is complete nonsense, your instructions on trapping the straps in unintelligible. Makes no sense at all and the placement is all wrong. Work out your instructions before filming instead of baking your mistakes it in to your tutorial.

    • @InspiredByMyah
      @InspiredByMyah  Před 2 lety +5

      Hi, thank you for your comment.
      I’m sorry if my instructions weren’t clear enough for you. In my first video I stated that I’m taking you along my journey, I am self taught so will make mistakes along the way. It may look like I am doing the straps wrong, but I stated that I am doing French Seams on my garment which is why they’re being sewn in differently.
