I've noticed that there wasn't much garnishings on top of d asam laksa to balance d taste of d fish broth. D common veg used as garnish r shredded lettuce, cucumber, pineapple, mint, red chillies, ginger torch etc.

Glad to see that u guys tried n liked our national dish, d nasi lemak, coconut rice. It actually started as a peasant dish, just coconut rice, sambal, boiled egg, slices of cucumber, fried peanuts n dried anchovies. Nowadays, it's more lavish with different types of side dishes like deep fried spicy chicken or beef/chicken 'rendang', a Malay traditional dish that u guys should try. U guys could also probably try d famous street burger, Ramly burger. Try char kway teow too, stir fried rice flat noodles. For your son, I cannot think of anything else but McD Happy Meal.

Really amazing that you like nasi nemak trying for the first time. My wife who is a chinese from mainland took a while to like this dish and i never like asam laksa as a malaysian. The bun that you ate is called baozi in China pronounced in putong hua/mandarin. In Malysia, it is called Pao pronounces in cantonese which a a chinese dialect and i believe Malay acquired this word from the Malaysian Chinese. You can try bak kut teh which is a herbal based Chinese foods wher the taste may not be easily acquired by westerners.

That’s a hardcore 🤣😱 There are so many kinds of Laksas there I recall, and yeah some were a little too fish to my taste hahaha anyway, oh I love love Cameron Highlands as well, hope you could visit there too for its famous tea and much cooler weather 😊 got so excited seeing your upload from KL, going a bit crazy with must- visit list 😆

We considered going to Cameron Highlands but didn't this time. We went to a few hill stations while in Sri Lanka, I know it's not the same, but we decided to skip this time, though the cooler weather was tempting! I love hearing your recommendations! Keep 'em coming! Malaysia was a great place to visit, but we're in the Philippines now...trying to catch up on videos so there will be several Malaysia videos to come-- part 2 of KL tomorrow, a food tour, then a George Town video or two, then another really great food tour in KL (and trying a Ramly burger, lol)

Welcome to Malaysia. FYI, Pete wrongly heard the dish that he thought was lamb, which he commented as bit gamey, is actually fried cow LUNG, not LAMB, so probably just wrongly heard. Actually "pauzir" is correct as its originated from China but in Malaysia, we called it as "pau" as in the short form for "pauzir" as what it's called in China.

Finished watching the video.. time to read all the comments.. let see.. Malaysian where you at?? Meanwhile most Malaysians prefer mostly drinking Milo ais or teh tarik.. only a few of them prefer Horlicks ais everytime they eat spicy food.. for oily food all those fried noodles type and many type of fried rice.. it either teh o ais limau (teh = tea | o = pronounce the letter o meaning zero | limau = lime or citrus specifically calamansi | ais = ice) or maybe just any fruit juice or any shakes drinks.
Just a bit curious.. you had try many laksa.. which one you like the most?? Chicken curry laksa.. or Sarawak laksa???

It's crazy to think you've actually finished your official travels. It's amazing that you guys have done such a fantastic job growing your vlogs though, I really hope you will manage to keep making videos and travelling in some capacity even after the air BnB programme if you're forced to settle again, even if videos get cut down to monthly ones or something.
I noticed you managed to get the flicker effect at times haha xD I noticed this in Korea. It's because in some countries have different frequencies around lights and stuff because of the electricity frequencies. like in the uk you need to record 25fps with 50hz frequencies and in korea, japan and america its 30fps with 60 hz or something strange. Luckily it was only on a little of the footage though so it didn't really matter c:
    Great video as always c:
I feel like you're really getting into a natrual rythm with your editing and its a great editing style. I feel whenever I sit down to edit its chaotic and I haven't really consolidated my editing style yet. Its a big weird amalgamation of my favourite channels lol.

Each Malaysian state people would boast their respective laksa is best.. All laksa s are authentic just that you gotta know which state it originates.. For me Sarawak laksa is best and yet its likely that individual Sarawakian is having preferences of if it is with coconut milk boiled or just warmly heat to have the taste of coconuts.. With more or less lime juice or even no lime juice to the soup.. Each stall or shop selling sarawak laksa though generally similar but there's always a twist somewhere in the soup that will draw you to some specific stores..
