    Hi, Malaysia is a beautiful country with the most food choices one can find! There are lots of vegetarian food in Kuala Lumpur. You just need to explore more and be in the other areas as well. Most tourists tend to stick around a small area where they can get the cheapest of everything. So I don’t think it is fair to say that it is hard to get vegetarian food in KL. The Petaling Street China town is known for selling copies/fakes. You can almost get fake merchandise everywhere in the world and in Germany as well! :))

    • @WegWeiserReisen
      @WegWeiserReisen  Před 2 lety

      Hi Helen☺️ absolutely, it‘s just that you need to get to know the city more to find the dishes without meat. In the beginning it takes some time to figure it out but for sure there are a lot of delicious dishes 😋
      And the fakes are definitely available in germany, what we meant is that there is no way they are being sold so openly on huge markets specifically for fakes 😱
      Thanks for the comment! Hope you enjoyed the video ☺️

    I would try my best to stretch the value of Euros vs Ringgit too if I were you guys. Don't have to go to lavish restaurants, small to medium cafeterias or stalls are where really nice foods can be found. Here are my recommendations for food in Kuala Lumpur:-
    - Nasi Lemak (spicy hot, Malaysia's signature food)
    - Satay (you're going to love it)
    - Ramly Burger ( go for the special, should costs around RM 7 - 8 per burger), must try !
    - Hokkien mee (black sauce fried noodles)
    - Prawn mee (noodles)
    - Roti Canai (with different gravy selectiins)
    - butter Prawn
    - Cendol (iced dessert)
    - Chinese chicken or pork "Pow" (steam bun with chicken or pork fillings)
    Jalan Alor, the street you can find nice food, recommended time to visit - after 7pm and it's located near Bukit Bintang area.

      @WegWeiserReisen  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you for your recommendations! We just took a screenshot so that we won‘t miss those. The only problem is that we don‘t really eat meat which makes it more difficult. I think Nasi Lemak is a popular meat dish right? Really appreciate your effort to write down those food options ☺️

      @@WegWeiserReisen u can eat Nasi Lemak with egg n sambal together with the cucumber n peanut too. That is the original serving for Nasi Lemak. Today most people add in chicken or squid sambal or beef rendang. So, u can choose the original version

    • @OvDevilz
      @OvDevilz Před 2 lety +3

      @@WegWeiserReisen might be unpopular opinion but for me Jalan Alor is overrated. Yes the have mostly all the food all over asia in one place but that's where its end. Based on the list, you can get the same thing with the same quality if not better but for sure at much much lower price. Just for comparison, pisang goreng in Jalan Alor cost you roughly RM 1 per piece while on other places you can get 3-5 pieces for the same price. The ingredients used are all locals and the same with other roadside local stalls, even some stalls got multiple choice of banana type. The seller at Jalan Alor just take advantage of the foreigners' buying power and that's just business advantages but still unethical in a bigger picture. If they can get the ingredients cheaper, the end products should be cheaper too unless justified by the service or location (in term of rentals etc) but for just along the street stalls, the overhead is just about 15-30% higher at most but the price went up like 100% or more which is nonsense. Kampung Baru is also located around the city centre but able to provide much cheaper options so maybe look for that location and other roadside stalls in more local area as opposed to touristy area.

    Actually, it is considered illegal to produce and sell counterfeit/fake goods in Malaysia under Section 8 (2) Trade Descriptions Act 2011 of Malaysia, carries a maximum fine RM10,000.00 for each goods bearing the false trade description or a maximum three year's prison for possession counterfeit goods , and for selling and false claim fake items carries a maximum fine RM20,000.00 for each goods or a maximum five year's jail. What you see they selling fake items sold at Petaling Street even at some malls included Plaza Low Yat, Times Square but not at other malls or outlets eg. Pavillion, Suria KLCC, MidValley etc. Those items already known as fake by both buyers and sellers. However if a seller selling fake items and claiming them as genuine with high tag prices, therefore the authorities can take immediate action under the Act (Law) as misleading description of the goods they sell.

    Fake Market and Petaling Street (China Town) . These 2 are something that we (Malaysian) never proud of. Tourism Malaysia should erase this place (Petaling Street) as the tourist attraction in Malaysia's place of interest to visit.
