That street market well known for not original but high quality. Depends on budget. If looking for original, just go to mall. But for layman with little budget, that's the place 😅

Catching up on your vlogs from Malaysia 🇲🇾 now that we have returned back to Australia 🇦🇺 after spending a few weeks there.
Love the fact that you send post cards to your family and friends. It’s an old tradition and I hope more travellers will do the same in future! Enjoy your travels

We were pleasantly surprised with Malaysia; the food, the culture and diversity and the lovely people. It was also very cheap for us, especially the food /beer and Grabs etc There was so much to see and do there as you would know. I hope to see you both in Australia 🇦🇺 one day.
Welcome, Mark and Lara. A nice video. KL is a little quieter these days. FYI, Central Market was originally a wet market before the 1980s.
That’s interesting!
Hi, Malaysia is a beautiful country with the most food choices one can find! There are lots of vegetarian food in Kuala Lumpur. You just need to explore more and be in the other areas as well. Most tourists tend to stick around a small area where they can get the cheapest of everything. So I don’t think it is fair to say that it is hard to get vegetarian food in KL. The Petaling Street China town is known for selling copies/fakes. You can almost get fake merchandise everywhere in the world and in Germany as well! :))
Hi Helen☺️ absolutely, it‘s just that you need to get to know the city more to find the dishes without meat. In the beginning it takes some time to figure it out but for sure there are a lot of delicious dishes 😋
And the fakes are definitely available in germany, what we meant is that there is no way they are being sold so openly on huge markets specifically for fakes 😱
Thanks for the comment! Hope you enjoyed the video ☺️
The President of Germany today visited Indonesia . I don't seem to want to lose to you guys. Here. Keep up the spirit and hopefully the two countries will be closer. From CNN Indonesia

Central market used to be busy b4 pendemic...sad to see lots of shops still not open
Oh yes it‘s really sad.. But seems like things are getting back to normal slowly right?☺️
in june 2019 i was the 2nd time in Malaysia. Postcards you can get also on top of the KL Tower in the little shop. magnets you can get around every corner and every shop.
Thanks for the information, luckily we found some nice ones ☺️ did you like malaysia?
on 16:50 I like the way your voice pronoun “berapa harganya” berapa ganya” its sound like local Malaysia Malay.. hehe
Really? That‘s so cool 😂 we always thought it sounds totally foreign 😂
Hello nice to meet you, and welcome to Malaysia and where your from, i hope you enjoy love it. Enjoy your trip. Thank you
Thank you very much ☺️ we are from germany, but mark has polish roots :) are you from malaysia? ☺️
We never forget both of you guys❤ one day come again to Sri lanka😊 God bless to both🙏❤❤
God bless you Freya 🥰
You can go to saturday night market at Jalan TAR, KL started from 4pm. Near to KL Sogo area.
Good to know! Thanks for the recommendation ☺️
love your vlogs❤️❤️❤️🇲🇾
Thank you ☺️😍
If you in Malaysia, a must thing to do is eat nasi lemak, tea tarik, ramly burger and Durian. You come in durian season basically.
Noted ☺️ we‘ll maybe give it another try :)
Love your video btw hii i'm from Malaysia 😍✨
Thanks 😍 and hii to Malaysia ☺️
I would try my best to stretch the value of Euros vs Ringgit too if I were you guys. Don't have to go to lavish restaurants, small to medium cafeterias or stalls are where really nice foods can be found. Here are my recommendations for food in Kuala Lumpur:-
- Nasi Lemak (spicy hot, Malaysia's signature food)
- Satay (you're going to love it)
- Ramly Burger ( go for the special, should costs around RM 7 - 8 per burger), must try !
- Hokkien mee (black sauce fried noodles)
- Prawn mee (noodles)
- Roti Canai (with different gravy selectiins)
- butter Prawn
- Cendol (iced dessert)
- Chinese chicken or pork "Pow" (steam bun with chicken or pork fillings)
Jalan Alor, the street you can find nice food, recommended time to visit - after 7pm and it's located near Bukit Bintang area.
Thank you for your recommendations! We just took a screenshot so that we won‘t miss those. The only problem is that we don‘t really eat meat which makes it more difficult. I think Nasi Lemak is a popular meat dish right? Really appreciate your effort to write down those food options ☺️
@@WegWeiserReisen u can eat Nasi Lemak with egg n sambal together with the cucumber n peanut too. That is the original serving for Nasi Lemak. Today most people add in chicken or squid sambal or beef rendang. So, u can choose the original version
@@WegWeiserReisen might be unpopular opinion but for me Jalan Alor is overrated. Yes the have mostly all the food all over asia in one place but that's where its end. Based on the list, you can get the same thing with the same quality if not better but for sure at much much lower price. Just for comparison, pisang goreng in Jalan Alor cost you roughly RM 1 per piece while on other places you can get 3-5 pieces for the same price. The ingredients used are all locals and the same with other roadside local stalls, even some stalls got multiple choice of banana type. The seller at Jalan Alor just take advantage of the foreigners' buying power and that's just business advantages but still unethical in a bigger picture. If they can get the ingredients cheaper, the end products should be cheaper too unless justified by the service or location (in term of rentals etc) but for just along the street stalls, the overhead is just about 15-30% higher at most but the price went up like 100% or more which is nonsense. Kampung Baru is also located around the city centre but able to provide much cheaper options so maybe look for that location and other roadside stalls in more local area as opposed to touristy area.
Places are still in post-covid recovery mode so give it some time in a year or two all things will slowly & gradually return to how it was pre-covid. 👍🏻
Can‘t wait for that! Kuala Lumpur is really nice, we‘ll for sure travel back there when it‘s more busy ☺️ are you from malaysia?
@@WegWeiserReisen yes, i am malaysian... Try also travel to Penang, Langkawi, Ipoh, Melaka, Kota Bharu, Perhentian Islands, Redang Islands, Kuala Terengganu as well Sabah & Sarawak on East Malaysia in Borneo... See the Orang Utan, Hornbills and eat sago worm (vegan too 🤣)... Enjoy Malaysia. By the way, u got good deals at Petaling Street Market (Chinatown)... RM25 for the sunglasses and RM15 for the cap is good deal even by locals standard of negotiations so well done on bargaining 👍🏻😆
Thank you for the recommendations! I just took a screenshot so that we don‘t miss them on our travels 😍 and good to know that we are good at bargaining hehe 🤣

It is really delicious! Wish we had more of that 😍 duck sounds good too, but Lara is vegetarian so duck is unfortunately not on the menu 🤣
@@WegWeiserReisen Oops🤭
This market is great. We bought 8 handbags and they were of excellent quality. Unless one is not a luxury brand nerd, won't be able to tell difference. Its just that some people are extremely rude. Two of the shop owners asked us to leave. However, most of them were friendly.
We wear socks to work, in the train if we are travelling longhaul ie to penang, in hotels also whn going to the Highlands....
Have you ever heard people complaining the malls, trains and offices in Malaysia are very cold?
Oh yes that makes totally sense! We went to a mall a few days ago and it was sooo cold we felt like it would make us sick. Do you know the reason why they make it that cold? 🥶
Good video and nice sharing
Thank you 🙏🏼
Actually, it is considered illegal to produce and sell counterfeit/fake goods in Malaysia under Section 8 (2) Trade Descriptions Act 2011 of Malaysia, carries a maximum fine RM10,000.00 for each goods bearing the false trade description or a maximum three year's prison for possession counterfeit goods , and for selling and false claim fake items carries a maximum fine RM20,000.00 for each goods or a maximum five year's jail. What you see they selling fake items sold at Petaling Street even at some malls included Plaza Low Yat, Times Square but not at other malls or outlets eg. Pavillion, Suria KLCC, MidValley etc. Those items already known as fake by both buyers and sellers. However if a seller selling fake items and claiming them as genuine with high tag prices, therefore the authorities can take immediate action under the Act (Law) as misleading description of the goods they sell.
That’s very interesting and it’s good to have those laws for sure
Thanks for clarifying Nik!
whenever i travel...i send myself postcards, the fun part is receiving them myself weeks after getting back 😆
That’s such a fun idea!!!
you can eat mixed rice and take the vegetables dishes

Malaysia and Indonesia have many similarities. but especially in football and social media they are sworn enemies. so that's the data for you. so don't compare the two. because both countries have advantages and disadvantages. and very dangerous. because the social relationship between the two is very hot. always healthy and more successful in the future yaa..
