  • We’re in Malaysia and in this vlog, a local, Charles, takes us all across the city in search of the best Malay, Chinese, and Indian food. Along the way, we meet Spiderman, (maybe) eat sheep’s balls, and, of course, sample the famous Ramly burger.

My best take whenever I order a Ramly burger: double beef with extra mayonnaise. I don’t like it to mix with eggs/omelette, cause it underwhelms the taste of the patties. Mind you, every Ramly burger stalls have different taste and seasoning. Maybe you need to try a different stall everyday to find the best one 😂😋 enjoy guys! 😀

Ramly burger made beef patties in the beginning. It didn't sell as much. Even back then, burgers were seen as western cuisine and not part of daily meals. They realized there were people providing buns and other parts that made a burger, it wasn't as readily available. So they encouraged young entrepreneurs to open stalls by giving them a model for them to copy and supplying them with all the ingredients. The most popular locations were in front of 7-11s. The shops provided drinks while they provided food. The 7-11 didn't mind because it resulted in people coming to the store at all hours for burger and drinks

For ramly burger history.. Before ramly was created, western food like burger & steak that brought in the country had unknown halal status. So most of the malay/ muslim citizen were sceptical amd doubt whether the food can be eat. So the founder, Ramly Mokni starter his own burger stall on 1979 and sell it on street. On 1984 the ramly food chain company was brought out to cater clean and quality halal western food to the malaysian. You may find many Ramly's food shop selling beef patty, steak meat & etc.

Ramly Food Processing Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Perusahaan Burger Ramly Mokni Sdn Bhd) is a Malaysian frozen and fast food company.
The company was founded by Dato’ Dr. Haji Ramly Mokni and Datin Hajjah Shala Siah Abdul Manap in 1984, with the aim of developing a clean and good-quality halal Western fast-food chain in Malaysia.
Ramly started a business selling burgers with his wife from street food stalls in 1979. While working as a butcher in a market, he discovered that it is unknown whether most fresh-meat sources were halal or not, leading to Ramly's decision to produce a halal-certified meat source, hygienic and quality products for all Muslim and non Muslim consumers in Malaysia.
They also have a chain of fast food restaurants but not as many as McDonalds restaurants.

I found many burger stalls using overly sweet chilli sauce..usually I won't come back for 2nd buy.. but still happy I still can find one nearby stall that cook some amazing Ramlee burger with delicious sauce.

@@SSxxx18 we're talking about overly sweet here..not just sweet..which leaving you to taste nothing else but sweet. Almost all chilli sauces here in Malaysia contain sugar and I'm a Malay myself. Out of all the burger stalls nearby, the one that I keep coming back for is the only one with long q everyday. Their burgers are just simply delicious and the sauce their using is not overly sweet for sure 😉

    Not just workers ,
People nearby would come over bringing their kids,
Thats another reason why the satay dude is wearing spiderman clothing / costume,
Sometime kids may not be in mood at such place or crying or annoy people nearby, spiderman would make them sit silently or change their mood 🙂
    Not just marketing i guess
