Drinking game: take a shot everytime bonesy says ‘city to city’
I wouldn’t even make it halfway through ☠️
Nope…I’ll pass out pretty fast 😂
Great video and thank you for answering my question. Hopefully you and goose get to make your debut soon in the show. Good luck out there!
Yeah no worries!! Thanks buddy
Nice hats, boys!!
Figured you’d like that. The world needs more!!
Hey thanks for putting my question or the question I ask into this video
Yeah no worries! Thanks for the comments
Very Cool Q&A.. Thanks for the drinking challenge Kaz.. & now I’m in the tank 🤪 🍻 A lot of misconceptions about EBug for sure.. I’d be stoked just to dress & be the door guy on the bench 😎
Hahaha yeah didn’t realize how many times I said that 😂 but yeah being a door guys sounds like a pretty sweet gig
@@BonesyTV Heck yeah! & They wouldn’t have to pay most of us for Sure! 😁
Lots of good answers to good questions! One more for ya - is EBUGing just an NHL thing? Curious if the AHL or WHL do something similar?
I’ve heard of other leagues having EBUGs too. Not sure if they’re handled the same way but I would imagine they are
@@BonesyTVa few years ago for a barracuda game against the condors, the condor goalie got hurt so they had the backup but no EBUG. Later in the game they had a guy waiting in the tunnel. I think it was the local college San Jose State University goalie to cover. I never got a full answer but the usher told me it was a local dude that was practicing. The college is a D3 team so that was cool. I was hoping I could just go get my gear 😂
@@BonesyTV David Ayres was famously a EBUG for the Marlies (AHL) and actually sat on the bench for the Charlotte Checkers (AHL). But I guess it varies "city to city", LOL!

@bamathieu hahaha “C-C”. But wow I didn’t know he dressed for the AHL too! Guy really is the true EBUG legend
To be honest I’m really jealous, and it’s not that I’m 47 and probably my odds to be an EBUG melt rapidly with every breath I take, but for the main reason I couldn’t be…I was born in a country whit slim to no hockey and even tho I made tryouts in the SPHL and was told that al exports budget was already capped out but that I had the level (back then)
In another note I’m a goalie coach and get payed for it and after we always have a little shinny so you could say that technically I get paid to play hockey…and even more than Trav 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha love that. But I wouldn’t really be too jealous of the whole thing. It’s a great opportunity and a lot of fun but I’d be more jealous of the guys that are legitimately playing pro. They’re living the actual dream. I’m still a beer league goalie who doesn’t get paid to play hockey
@@BonesyTV well yes, everyone is jealous of them f_ckers 🤣🤣🤣
So do you have to bring your gear and sticks and drop it off in the locker room every game you attend? Or do they expect you to leave it in your car and get it if needed?
Yeah I meant to mention that too. We just park where the players park and then grab out gear if from there if it’s needed
GOOSE!
The man the myth the legend
The Predators in theory have 3 goalies with the nickname "Goose" in their system: Troy Grosenick, Gustavs Grigals and this one. As Mr Kruger in Seinfeld said "We can't have two Cocos."
Hahaha simple too much Goosin around
Is there anything that changes for the ebug forbthe playoffs?
Dang this is another great question. Wish I could have answered this in the video. Teams typically have a lineup of “black aces” who are there to fill any spots in case of injures
@BonesyTV add for next time. This was great. It'd be great if you could reach out to other teams' ebugs and add them to the video.
@scchrist may or may not have something like that in the works 😉 anything you’d like see in a video with other teams?
@BonesyTV I'd say answering these questions and has being the ebug influenced their gear purchases? i.e. quality, brand, colors, etc. I know you have Preds colored gear, so I'm curious if other ebugs have done that.
GOOSE!!!
The Legend ™️
I would have shit my paints at the moment the goalie got hurt at that play off colorado game if i would have been the ebug 😂😂
Hahaha I think just about anyone would have
Are you contractually protected from competition from other goalies who come along and would do it for less or even for free? I have to imagine there are at least hundreds of guys who want it.
Nope! There’s no guarantee that you won’t be replaced at any moment but it seems like once teams have their list put together they don’t stray too far from it unless someone decides to be removed from it or they do something wrong and lose their privileges. Teams have a million more important things to worry about so that seems to be the only protection from any kind of competition
So you could just be sitting next to someone at the game and then they could just get up get dressed and go play in the game
Hahaha yep! Kinda happened that way when I got dressed for Boston. Was talking to some friends during intermission and got a call to go down and then I turned to my friends and said “sorry guys, I’m gunna go be the backup for the bruins. I’ll talk to you later” and walked off
You missed the two most important questions; what's inside your body?
Hahaha mostly coffee these days
