I was waiting for their reaction to Bob dying. It was so sad, I actually teared up when I watched it the 1st time. Sean Astin plays Rudy in the movie Rudy....lol

Asia you aren’t alone... Everyone hated “The Lost Sister” episode. It’s the lowest rated episode in the series. Even if it was crucial for El’s development, it was meant to jumpstart a spinoff series including 8 and her crew.
That would not have been a good spin off at all she is not a great actor to have her own spin off but it would have made more sense if they brought her back into another episode and met the crew just so this episode would not have seemed so pointless Yea it helped El with her powers but they could have done it differently
Yeah, it was probably a bit overambitious to try and launch a spinoff with an unknown crew, but I actually took that failure as a sort of accidental success for the show at large.
That lost loose end added an unintentional feeling of realism to the show. Sometimes people come into, and pass out of, our lives suddenly.
With Bob, this was tragically abrupt. With Kali, she just quietly faded from our area of focus. That's fine. Sometimes, that is just life.
Dont agree with you there, didn't hate the episode and there are alot of people out there that didnt eiither. was it different and probably misplaced in the order of episodes yes, but it accomplished alot of things. I liked to see el self discovery, to see her tap into her rage and "dark side" and come out the other side. Along the way learning her true power and instilling more confidence, all crucial moving forward.

Watching these episodes with yall made me not want to wait to see the next 2 episodes so this past weekend i finished the series "again" lol
I think people were also annoyed with the lost sister ep because of the way the previous ep had ended on such a cliffhanger. It was one of the biggest cliffhangers they had, aaaaaand then we come to a screeching halt to see 8 lol 😅.
I get why… I mean, 11 had to hone her powers and get some training before she could believably close the gate. But it definitely takes you out of the loop a bit.

GREAT reaction. Amen about hating seeing the needle go into the arm (I used to have to inject medication or MS from 1998 to 2013) and seeing extreme close-ups of that makes me ill (knowing it's probably fake doesn't help.).

Even though this episode is the most hated episode, in hindsight, I feel that it was made not just for a possible spin off series but also I feel that it was made to really be the basis for the next season. I won't spoil anything but lets just say that showing that Elle (11) isn't alone and the only type person that she is and the only type person with special powers will make things from the next season not so new and or shocking! Enjoy the next season. I feel that it really drives in to Roles character!

I re--watch ST all the time and skip over "The Lost Sister" every time. It's my least favorite episode. I subscribed to your channel when I saw your first reaction to ST. I've enjoyed all of your reactions, and I'm glad I found your channel. I look forward to them every day.

y’all should be giving elle’s search fir her roots a little more respect. she wouldn’t have developed her powers, you wouldn’t have known this world is a whole lot bigger than just hawkins, you wouldn’t have known about her mother’s trials with jenner and that whole harvesting of children to make a legion of mind f-- kids. 😆 we wouldn’t have known any of this. her personal journey was necessary.

I found S2 to be a bit painful from time to time, especially with the #10 girl introduced in the first episode. Plus I didn't like her friends. But S3 and S4 get better every episode. You'll have some eyegasms on 4. You should be happy you're behind on this show, the rest of us had to wait as they broke that season into two parts. We had to wait for the last two episodes. And boy, are they worth the wait. Sorry to drone on about seasons you haven't gotten to. I just don't think much about this season. At least the last two don't have one of the kids being perpetually angry (Lucas and then Mike).
PLEASE WATCH PRETTY LITTLE LIARS ORIGINAL SIN!!! It’s a really good suspenseful show with a really campy horror aspect, and the best part is you don’t even have to know anything about the original show to watch it or any of the other Spinoffs ❤ also love y’all’s content
Honestly the second season is the worst, still love it but it’s in last place for me. Eleven is separated from the group the entire season basically. Season 3 is my favorite, season 4 is my second favorite, season 1 is 3rd, season 2 last.

I love all the self appointed “experts” that flood reactors’ pages on this episode. They think by making blanket statements about how “it’s the worst” they can look like they’re smarter, or more knowledgeable and discerning than anyone else, when all they’re doing is parroting each other with zero facts to back it up. This episode was great, it propelled the story forward and was necessary for El to understand how meaningful her place is and her relationships are in Hawkins. Until she gains more experience of the world, she’ll remain ignorant of not only what’s out there, but what’s “in there” in terms of her own desires.

When i was younger in the 80s i was thinking i was to good for school. But i was a neerd and still are🎉
IMO episode 7 is the worst stranger things episode (it felt like a spin off ep and its universally hated). I also found season 2 to be the weakest season. Still great, but I prefer seasons 1, 3 and even 4 to season 2.
The Chicago characters are mid compared to the great core cast.
