I loved the original, and I love this remake!❤ I was so happy see Burt Reynolds as the coach in this one. Soooo many big time athletes were in this one, from MMA to Pro Wrestling, and the comedians really did an awesome job of making this hilarious!

Fun trivia: Jennifer Carpenter, who played Emily, had appeared on Broadway with Laura Linney (and Liam Neeson) in a production of Arthur Miller's "The Crucible". Linney was so impressed with Carpenter's work on the play that when she signed to do "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" shortly afterwards, she made sure the producers auditioned Carpenter for the role of Emily. According to Carpenter, she owes her entire career to that act of faith. Also, if you want to be scared witless by another Scott Derrickson film, I highly recommend "Sinister", starring Ethan Hawke.

My fav about this movie is the soundtrack. I played it so much that we found an old video my daughter made when she was about 7 (she’s 21 now) where she was filming herself riding in her bike with the camera in her basket, and she humming the song from the fight scene in the spinning hallway. The name of the song is Don’t Think About Elephants

I really recommend you all check out the TV show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Takes place a few years after this ends. Very well made, only two seasons.

The strange part: "What an excellent day for an exorcism. It would bring us together - you and us". Now think about the ending. The demon possesses Father Carris before he jumps out the window. Didn't the demon get what it wanted in the end? I don't think it was about Regan being possessed but about the demon getting the priest and Regan was the vessel. Still creeps me out these many years later.
