Justin Long is an underrated actor. He often does very silly films, but he’s got great acting chops, more range than people realize, and incredible comedic timing. His performance in this film is excellent.

i always liked this film. its one of my guilty pleasures although i don't have it in my 500 (+) dvd collection. it kind of reminds me of the tv movie "gargoyles" from 1972. and the sequel is actually pretty good too.
The second one is one of my guilty pleasure movies. Everytime it's on tv, I stop and watch it.
Part 2 is a guilty pleasure technically there 4 flims but the first 2 are the best by far of the franchise the falloff was insane 😂
Justin's acting in this is impeccable. His character doesn't even have to say anything. The way he acts genuinely terrified. Man top 5 horror movie since 99 for sure..

That part when the Creeper threw the head in the truck made the audience in the theater laugh.
Yeah, I remember the crowd laughed at that part also. I saw this in theaters opening night. It was amazing. The crowd was just so quiet thru the movie, until the Creeper appeared. Then the crowd went insane. It scared the hell out of me. I am a big horror fan, but I have never seen anything like that.

This movie is one my favorite, it starts off making you think is going towards a joy ride / serial killer type of movie but then just completely surprised me. I didn't seem to notice if they caught for how long does it get to wait and eat?

Just a question them and eom are the only ones I watch and considered grabbing the patreon but how is it watching when you have to get your own copy of whatever they watch? Just wanna know some thoughts
@@devonb3735 the only time you need your own copy of the movie is when they do a live reaction. I think in the year I have been watching them, they only have done live reactions maybe twice. When they do a live one...they pause it at the intro and she will do a countdown so you can hit play at the same time. All the other times the movie is in the small box below them like it is on youtube. And like I said above...it's worth it. They release on most days 2 or 3 films or TV shows. Hope this helped...let me know if you have more questions

True story. There are real life cases around national parks that have mysterious missing persons cases. The people include hunters, adult professionals with resources, and children. Some of the cases involve cars. When they find the cars they are still running with no signs of struggle. The victims appear to have gone missing like they were plucked from the sky. When they find the bodies its even more strange.
Sounds like they had close encounters of the third kind.
I believe someones compiled a number of them under the Missing 411... There's some pretty creepy stuff in all that
There are lots of podcasts that cover these stories and are the work of author David Paulides, and his investigations are collected as "Missing 411". He began digging into under investigated missing peoples reports in national parks around the world. He noticed a preponderance of cases, and explored the mysterious connections that seem to exist between the vast numbers of missing peoples. While I've never heard a story involving still running cars (I certainly haven't heard all the stories), there are plenty of genuinely creepy tales. Many factors remain similar in many of the cases, regardless of place and time. Details often include the person vanishing into seemingly thin air, many people are skilled woodsman, bodies are often never found, or if found are discovered under mysterious circumstances. Bodies are often recovered in areas where search parties (including highly trained corpse dogs) have already searched. In many instances people are found distances, or at heights that would seem impossible for them to travel. A lot of reports also describe strange weather events before a person disappears or their body recovered. Often times a person's clothing is found neatly folded (people in states of delirium or hypothermia will often remove their clothing, but not fold them neatly), and sometimes bodies are recovered with their clothing seemingly placed on haphazardly, with shoes being on the wrong feet a common event. So many strange details and so many strange stories. My favourite podcast "Mysterious Universe" has covered the work of David Paulides extensively and encourage people who took the time to read all of this, to check out the podcast. There are many theories as to what is happening, but I wouldn't pretend to know the truth. Personally, from my own background (Cree Indian) it almost makes me think old stories of nature spirits are true, and some of them aren't very nice.
Oh for other creepy stories about nature and peculiar events in the woods I encourage people to look up stories of "The Watchers in the Woods" and the "Pale Crawlers". Sweet dreams.

Interesting detail, when the creeper is holding Darry hostage at the police station and you get a look at his face, the eyes are white. The creeper is blind at that point and then when you see him with Darry's eyes, they're brown :3
And to add, apparently they dressed justin as the creeper at the end so those are really his eyes ❤
Exactly why he was sniffing around before catching them. He was sniffing to find em.
to add to that he also took Darry's eyes bc he was the one that saw inside his house of pain and smelled that it was Darry in there
Darry basically died for nothing though. The creeper wanted his eyes, yet the 2nd film takes place right after this one and the creeper ends up needing a new face because the pole goes through his head, and one of the kids on the bus is decapitated. The creeper uses his whole head, including his eyes. Poor Darry. Died so the creeper could use his eyes for a few days 😫

Correct, he was after him all along. The Creeper eats body parts that he need and absorb them into himself. If you have good senses he's going to take them, if he has broken parts he will take yours to replace any damaged parts he may have. The scent that he uses to hunt is the scent of your fears, he can smell it and use it to track you. This is why he likes to scare his victims first.
I remember watching this as a kid and being terrified by the creeper. Still one of my favourite horror films to this day

I met the Jeepers Creepers man many years ago at a convention. He was pleasant and friendly. He showed a video of his rehearsing without any make up. I believe he was Hawaiian background. They made a sequel.
The Creeper feeds off of fear. He doesn't kill (for the most part) unless the person is in fear of him... The Creeper didn't take the sister because she wasn't scared.

This movie terrified me as a kid. The 2nd is also very good. And that's it, that's where the movie series ends is with the 2nd. Spare yourselves from watching the 3rd, I couldn't even finish it it was so bad😂

The creature can tell what body parts of people genetically are a match for him to absorb. It's really just science. i think it’s implied it chooses victims by their fear levels not genetics. hence why it ignored trish and jezelle. the only two people who stood up to it with no weapons. darry still had fear in his eyes hence why it took them.

The song Jeepers Creepers was written in 1938. The original had nothing to do with anything scary at all. The slang term for someone's eyes was "peepers", and the words "jeepers creepers" were just intended as a playful rhythm to "peepers".
The song was actually a light hearted flirtation track complimenting a love interest for their stunning, beautiful eyes. Basically, it was the 1938 version of "spitting game". 😏
He's trying a line on a beauty by telling her that her gorgeous eyes have caught him off guard. 🥰
The 2001 film was horror, and who can resist writing a horror movie about a literal eyeball thief when you know there's an old timey song who's lyrics can be exploited to drive the horrific storyline. 😉🙃
One of my favorite scary films. I first saw this in theatre in 2001 and was thrilled/terrified the entire time...just like Asia!

A little fact about the movie, the intro of this movie is actually based on a true story of a man and his wife, it’s actually a pretty crazy story and just makes the movie a little more creepy to watch!

I think they might have just found some bloody sheets and maybe some belongings in like a groundhog burrow or something like that. but the couple that found that was also driving past the husband as he was changing the tags on his vehicle and they noticed on the open passenger door that it was covered in blood. I don’t think they ever found the wife’s body but I could be wrong

First time I saw this movie was at 1AM’ish and it always gave me the creeps, but BJ’s reaction at 13:35 was the best. 😂
I watched this movie on a beautiful, spring day. The windows and door were open letting in a nice breeze. I was lying on the sofa, engrossed in the movie when all of a sudden the door slammed shut from the wind.. I never screamed so loud in my life. It's been 20 years and I don't think I have moved that fast since then. I don't remember a lot of the rest of the movie but I do know that I will never watch another horror movie with the door open again.
It needs hearts to live and eyes to see. The woman who called them is psychic Jezelle Gay Hartman who tells them it awakens every 23rd spring for twenty-three days to feast on human body parts, which then form parts of its own body. She also tells them that it seeks out its victims through fear, and by smelling the fear from Trish and Darry, it has found something it likes.
Went to the theatre to see it with a friend, I was 16 and it was my first time driving alone….living in the country that was the longest trip home that night. That movie scarred me for life driving alone at night. 😅
I’ve always interpreted the RV scene as they are locals who know about the story of him coming back every few decades. So they just got out of his way preemptively. Good reaction!

A lot of this movie was filmed liked 20 minutes from my house in Florida. This movie was huge in my area when I was a kid because of that. Always holds a special spot in my heart. Love your vids!
Definitely a 2000's horror classic at this point. I also recommend watching the second one too. It's pretty good as far as horror sequels go.

The real Creeper of this movie was director Victor Salva, having spent some time in prison for possession of Child pornography and soliciting sex from a minor on the set of his movie Clownhouse.
If u look up the casting for this movie , it shows Victor as the creeper. Now idk if he actually plays the creeper for a few scenes, or just some ppl did it on purpose cause he’s a pedo , but I always found that funny lol

This was my first R rated movie! I remember I was 15 years old and I saw this in theaters when it first came out. It was the late night showing in the middle of fall in the darkness. And you better believe for the next 2 months straight, I was terrified of going outside at night. Always afraid that Jeepers Creepers guy was gonna come down and snatch me lol
this was the first scary movie i saw as a kid and it absolutely horrified me, but as i grew older i kept watching it over and over again. i love it
If you both like this kind of movie where the setting is mainly on the road/highway ride and shits started to happen, please react to “Joy Ride” (2001). Starring Paul Walker. No monster, demon, ghost or supernatural creature, but it’s considered a scary movie. It’s a thriller/mystery genre. Slasher type of movie I would say. But a nice one. Hope you guys would enjoy the ride😊

Never watched this channel before. But loving the vibe so far, this movie is an instant classic for me.

This was the only horror movie I ever watched as a kid that I had to turn off because I was so scared. Right at the part with all the cats. I dont even think I slept that night. I ended up putting it back on when the sun came up just so I could see how it ended. lol I just couldnt watch it in the dark.

this was a true horror sleeper. I remember seeing the title back then thinking it was going to be so silly. I was SO wrong.
I watched the film when I was 6 years old, and I am now 20, and I still would love to watch this film again. I followed all of it It is a wonderful film.

Fun fact the movie was filmed here in Florida and you can check out the road they were chased by creeper driving. Also there use to be a real old church and it was burned down. I find it so scary and let alone the movie scared the hell out of me.

Also, The Creeper preyed on Darry because he was most fearful. All of The Creepers tactics are fear inducing, allowing him to sniff out the things he likes from people, making their parts juicier, I suppose (lol). Demons prey on the weak spirited. Like in real life 👀. Everything is about influence. If you have no faith in anything, you'll fall for anything. Evil uses fear in order to control its host. Influence is its top priority since evil has no other way to meaningfully interact with our world. Fear makes a puppet out of you. Possession. Look at The Creeper - He's a literal embodiment of the notion, wearing a human suit.
