Based solely on the gay jokes in the film: his misreading that 1st license plate tag as something like "gay forever" or "gay for you"; also his sister implied it, at least jokingly.

Fun fact: the opening was inspired by an Unsolved Mysteries episode. Them catching a killer dumping bodies, the car chase down a highway, they even went back to check and see if anybody was alive like in the movie. It’s such an eerie case😅
Fun fact this was filmed in my father's home town in Ocala Florida. The road they get chased on is just up the street from my grandmother's house. When we went on family reunions. It was so surreal to see it being used for a classic horror film.
This is easily one of the best horror movies of all time in my opinion and I love the direction the film goes with the reveal of him being an ancient, demonic being that was creative to me personally!
10:11 I mean it makes sense, if I thought one of my siblings was in trouble down some pipe due to them not saying anything, that would surely scare me more than anything else to, even with the potential of a killer showing up. When you’re the older/oldest sibling you tend to care more about your younger sibling(s) safety more than your own. Which is what Trish showed toward the end of the movie where she begged the Creeper to take her instead of Darry.

Also, it wouldn't have mattered it they just got the hell out of dodge. Dude was probably the son of not only a giant bat, but also a hell hound with that gift of sense. They could have just floored it all the way home, never coming into close physical proximity. But he could smell them. He would have found Derry within the 24 hours he had left. There was no saving Derry. And the poor psychic. Her premonitions just could not save the poor boy.
Man Donna’s reaction in that scene whenever they caught the creeper throwing the body in the pipe was literally my reaction when I first the movie I’m like nigga why is you following a serial killer & second how you going to break into a serial killer’s house all you had to do was literally mind your business & go about your day. I mean, he's no worse than the Catholic Church, so I guess there's that. I mean, if you can't trust the Kingdom of Christ, who can you trust?
B-Eating-U That’s why the psychic kept telling him “No! Just think about it”, a lot of people go back and forth on it but it’s the ones that makes more sense since she new the Creeper the most and her reaction to Beating-U was not positive, she acted like it was an obvious answer and ‘Beating-U was not it. She also was the one 🥺☝🏼 that pointed out that the creeper loves to eat parts of people he needs (to repair or rejuvenate) or parts of people he falls in love with like a.k.a his eyes that were full of fear. So B-Eating-U makes sense, it’s also very easily misread cause a lot of people wouldn’t assume someone would say that which plays into the plot - it’s foreshadowing. For the viewers and the characters, however they play on the confusion so at the end the shock factor is a lot but all the dots start connecting. Like in Malignant.
FUN FACT! At 24:48 the bald cop also plays the creeper! Thought that was cool when I found out.. Can't wait for you guys to do part 2! Hope y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! 🦃🧡

I love how horror flicks the vast majority of them are actually made up from real life events. While the creeper monster is 100% fake. The fact the overall story is so similar to a Unsolved Mysteries case makes it even more creepy and great. You know had this been a movie involving black folks. This whole movie was intense but I'd say the last 30 minutes was when it got really wild. The ending was truly heartbreaking. Imagine what Derry must have gone through during his last moments. With no one coming to save him. Doesn't help when we hear his screaming but not seeing what was done to him. I felt so bad for Derry man. He didn't deserve his fate. He seemed like a likable and kind of goofy dude. What a shame. But at the same time, it makes it all the more believable. Sometimes you don't need a happy ending. I remember telling my dad I wanted to watch it growing up and me and brother watched it together. Needless to say, I had nightmares afterwards and just looking at our bedroom closet, thinking The Creeper was gonna get me at any moment lol.

The only thing I hate about this movie is the character decisions. It annoys me and takes me out of it. -The going down the pipe with no rope, no weapon, no directions. -The refusal to listen to the psychic. -The psychic lady not getting to the point sooner. -The constant curiosity: walking towards the cop car and towards the house after it's clear that the Creeper killed the victims. I understand the writers of horror films want the characters to make mistakes for tension. But this was too much. Give them logical mistakes. This feels like they're just as curious as they are scared.

I first saw this movie on the Sci-Fi channel (back when the sci-fi channel was still good mind you) around ... 2004/5-ish? Anyways, it scared the crap outta me then, but has become one of my favorite horror flicks of all time. Very good movie! Great reaction btw.

The interesting thing about this movie is that the Creeper wasn't even interested in them as victims as first. Yeah he was speeding behind them but he never hunted them down until they went back to his hideout. If you look it up and you read the full bio, it said that when the Creeper got back to the church, he caught Darius scent, due to fear being spread by seeing all of those bodies, which caused him to hunt them down. Moral of the story is that he would have still been alive, if he just minded his own business lol. Or played it smart, go straight to the next town, use the phone to call the police, and went from there💯. Jeepers Creepers really had the potential to be a legendary horror character like Freddy, Jason, Ghostface, Micheal Myers, Chucky, Ringu, Pinhead, etc. After part 2, it went downhill and his sequels just took a turn for the worst. I feel like if they haven't waited so long and they had continue in that timeline, in the early 00's, the creativity would have still be the same and the writing would have been so much better. Not to mention, the writer of the movie was dealing with heavy controversy and it was not good on his end💯.
Please, please, please don't react to/buy any more DVDs/Blu-Rays/rent or buy via streaming services of this franchise, or anything else by the writer/director, as he doesn't deserve to receive any money whatsoever. I think them going back to see if anyone's alive was what doomed Darry. He wanted to do the right thing and it got him killed. The monster goes after the people who fears it the most. When Darry went down that pipe and saw all the bodies, it had freaked him out. His sister never saw what was down there and therefore wasn't as afraid of the creature. If they had never went back then Darry wouldn't have died.

The only thing I hate about this movie is the character decisions. It annoys me and takes me out of it.
-The going down the pipe with no rope, no weapon, no directions.
-The refusal to listen to the psychic.
-The psychic lady not getting to the point sooner.
-The constant curiosity: walking towards the cop car and towards the house after it's clear that the Creeper killed the victims.
I understand the writers of horror films want the characters to make mistakes for tension. But this was too much. Give them logical mistakes. This feels like they're just as curious as they are scared.

That’s why he kept stopping them on the bus so they wouldn’t go anywhere and he would fly and start messing them on the road in his truck but hey what do I kno . The interesting thing about this movie is that the Creeper wasn't even interested in them as victims as first. Yeah he was speeding behind them but he never hunted them down until they went back to his hideout. If you look it up and you read the full bio, it said that when the Creeper got back to the church, he caught Darius scent, due to fear being spread by seeing all of those bodies, which caused him to hunt them down. Moral of the story is that he would have still been alive, if he just minded his own business lol. Or played it smart, go straight to the next town, use the phone to call the police, and went from there💯.
Jeepers Creepers really had the potential to be a legendary horror character like Freddy, Jason, Ghostface, Micheal Myers, Chucky, Ringu, Pinhead, etc. After part 2, it went downhill and his sequels just took a turn for the worst. I feel like if they haven't waited so long and they had continue in that timeline, in the early 00's, the creativity would have still be the same and the writing would have been so much better. Not to mention, the writer of the movie was dealing with heavy controversy and it was not good on his end💯.
Yeah that's the crazy thing about the Creeper... sometimes he just hunts, sometimes he wants something and sometimes he leaves you alone

I didn’t know that
I think them going back to see if anyone's alive was what doomed Darry. He wanted to do the right thing and it got him killed. The monster goes after the people who fears it the most. When Darry went down that pipe and saw all the bodies, it had freaked him out. His sister never saw what was down there and therefore wasn't as afraid of the creature. If they had never went back then Darry wouldn't have died.
