If anyone was wondering, there actually is a very effective test to see if you are in a dream or not. You just have to pinch your nose shut and then attempt to breath through your nose. If you are awake, you obviously will not be able to breath through your pinched shut nose. But if you are in a dream, you will still be able to feel yourself breath through your nose because it's only your dream nose that's pinched, not your real nose. You can also try looking at a clock. Most clocks will have hands that change randomly (or numbers if it's a digital clock) because your brain has so many passing memories of clocks that it can't decide on a time to display. If you gain enough awareness in your dreams to try these things or notice these things, you might also notice that many dreams have a very low "render distance". As in things up close in the main focus of the dream like characters or important objects might be very detailed, but if you look around the room, you realize that it's pretty blank, and might not even have an entrance. And windows might have nothing on the other side until you focus on them and image that there should be another landscape. Sorry, didn't mean to rant about dreams, but they're very interesting
One day I had the most realistic dream ever. I was so fascinated by it yet every single time a lucid dream like this happens, I get scared I might get stuck in the dream and I wake up lol. Very interesting. In my dreams ,though, I feel comfy because I know there is a reality outside of the dream, whereas in reality, I don't know where reality is located at, or in.
One thing we can't do in dreams is adjust light levels so if you think you might be in a dream try to find a light switch somewhere that's how I have begun lucid dreams

Just like the cartoon character Homer Simpson who poses questions/answers to his son, Bart, in explaining the relationship between mind and matter: "What is mind? Doesn't matter... What is matter? Never mind." See, it's so simple.

"Hello Philosopy Lady, am I here?" This is a master class of beginning conversations.
"Hello. What's your game?" is my favourite.
Plato invented platonic relationship.. Pythagoras invented triangle.. I am speechless

“Am I here” is all it took to cause an expert in philosophy from Oxford to short circuit
Talbot handled that very well.
Everything she said was sound.
Trust me 😂 thats the most Savage answer anyone can give.
"and If we aren't, it doesn't matter". good ending line.
ahahaha she kinda solved Descartes whole problem - 'if we aren't, then it doesn't really matter'
I was about to comment the same hahaha When she said it I was like, "Damn, I think she just finally answered it".
philosopher lady met her match haha
I love when she appears overwhelmed by the things her interview subjects are telling her.
2:05 she was actually thrown a bit there 😂😂 i think Marianne Talbot changed her entire worldview after this interview 😂😂
And if we aren't, then maybe it doesn't matter
Truly a philosophical statement.

Oddly, she's my favorite philosopher.
I loved seeing this. If I saw it?
Her take on platonic relationship is quiet wry

The pun is the poorest form of humour, but the Beatles could be excused, their profession was music
If Pythagoras invented the triangle, and Plato invented platonic relationships, who invented the love triangle? 🤔

What's Diane Morgan (the interviewer) saying at 2:16, before the professor says thank you? I can't make it out.
