      Hes a fraud. I bet everyone and their momma 10 years ago that he would retire immediately if they ever legalized paying players. He never mainly recruited his own state. Now that everyone is spending top dollar on players guess who ran away first Just guess. What kind of legend refuses to recruit against a level playing field?

    28 years as a head college football coach. 19 bowl victories. 13 SEC Championships. 7 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! And Coach Nick Saban NEVER had a losing season as a College Head Football Coach!!! He IS the greatest college head football coach of ALL TIME as far as I am concerned. And Joy is absolutely right. This man, at 72 years of age deserves to retire on his own terms. I'm happy for him. He deserves to be able to spend the rest of his life enjoying his wife, kids, and grandchildren away from college football.

Nick deserved to walk out like he wants and as a Bama fan I hate it but gotta respect it!

    • @Don0213
      @Don0213 Před 6 měsíci +1

      What are you talking about ? Go back and watch the game! The adjustments Saban and Alabama made were the reasons they almost won that game, had it been any other team but Michigan or Georgia they win that game. First half they didn’t run the ball well outside of their first TD run and Michigans D line was making it difficult to throw the ball. Michigans SP team mistakes were the only reason the game was close going into halftime. The second half they adjusted and gave Milroe more intentional runs which opened up the passing game enough to keep Michigan honest. First half the Bama defense had multiple blown coverages that led to touchdowns, and they looked confused at times. Second half they cleaned up their defense and held Michigan scoreless until that game tying drive Michigan went on at the end of the 4th. Had it not been for the Milroe fumble they might of had a bigger lead than they did. They definitely made adjustments, Saban is the best I’ve ever seen at making half time adjustments. Put some respect on the man’s name.

    Since the NIL and Portal started Alabama has not been the same team. You can even say Georgia was not the same team this year as many of the guys that won Championships were at Georgia prior to NIL/Portal. Georgia lost a lot of young guys to the portal who would have stayed in years passed and been groomed so I am anxious to see them in 2 years because next year they should be good.
    Prior to the BCS and the Playoff era there was more parity in college football and the SEC benefited under the last 2 systems. The NIL/Portal and 12 team playoff will bring more parity into college football like pre BCS and Playoffs and you will see a variety of champions post 2025.

    NIL has been able to get players to go to other schools thus creating a larger pool of talent spread across multiple schools around the country. Alabama football is inherently a school that gets its talent based off Sabans name and history. Yes they were throwing money here and there previous to NIL but Alabama doesnt have oil money or deep pockets in comparison to USC, Texas, Texas A&M, etc. to keep up. If money is the biggest factor of people going to schools, the schools with the most money to give players will be popping up in the coming years just wait.

    We know but sometimes forget that a coach that has a wife and family has a support system that has been by his side sacrificing their own desire to allow him to take the time to travel and coach to the standard of a winning program in Bama. If Saban wanted to focus on his life spent with his family btw, health issues were mentioned also, it is very much understandable that he might have felt that he owed this to his family to retire and focus on them more so. As a Bama fan I am sad not for just myself and co Bama fans but for the Collegiate Football realm for a lack of a better word. Nevertheless, I think of Joy's main point: Saban has the right to leave on his own terms .I, personally of course wish he had left after letting people know that he was retiring after a full season but he still has the right. The Crimson Tide have 6 National Championships largely due to this man. He can do whatever he wants to: Period.

    How tf can you say it’s right or wrong. It’s his life and he’s choosing to go out on top. You can think he’s still got more gas in the tank. But this is his life. There ain’t no right or wrong with this decision

    Saban retired so Kirby could never get another win over him and beat him in their last matchup. Excellent troll job, Nick 😂

    I think harbaugh is next. NIL and transfer portal has changed college football so much. Recruiting was crazy already, NIL and transfer portal has made it worse.

    Preach it Acho!!! This year was the most impressive coaching job I have ever seen and I've been watching football since 1979! At the beginning of the season, this team had a trash o-line and NO STARTING CALIBER QB. None. It was a comedy of errors. The defense was not very good. Milroe was named the starter and looked like trash. Got benched. My thought was, "Welp, the dynasty is over.' Then Saban worked and molded Milroe, formed an offense around his strengths, while continuing to challenge him to be a better passer. By the end of the season, this kid could pass, run like a gazelle and has a cannon for an arm. Never in all my years have I seen a coach that can CREATE qb's from scratch like this. I'm sad that we won't get one more year with Milroe, because the prospects for that kid had the potential to be scary. Imagine a guy who can run like Lamar, has a cannon for an arm, but farther ahead in the passing game than Lamar was as a rookie in the nfl, but with SIZE to go along with the athleticism! Sigh
    NIL and the freed-up transfer portal are both due to everybody's desire to stop Saban and level the playing field. So every college athlete owes a debt of thanks to Nick Saban- you're welcome!
