Man he brought a lot of good memories to us in Alabama, a lot of great men played on that field and worked under him building their own legacy. Proud of his leadership and legendary career. ROLL TIDE 🐘
Bruh imagine my boy Harbough leaves and goes to BAMA....dont think itll happen pretty sure he is NFL bound but can you imagine the success Harbough would have at a BAMA opposed to a Michigan.
No
@@dustinsirois4788your tripping. Dan Lanning or Dabo is going to Bama next
Happy New Year all, hope whoever is reading this has the best year of there life and that can start with becoming more Christ like and able to leave this world a better place than you found it. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life do so before your last breath. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life, bow your head, close your eyes and from a sincere heart ask him to cleanse you of your sins and be your Lord and Savior.
I just think it's hilarious that my team Michigan spooked him so bad that he immediately decided to retire 😂😂😂
Saban was the greatest college football coach of all time.Sabans record speaks for itself.Even if you are not a Bama fan if you are honest you know without a doubt Saban was the greatest coach ever.Saban you will truly be missed in college football.
As an LSU fan I have to admit that many of us are heartbroken
@@ShazSoRadYou are certainly insane.
I think he saw the future of college football and had an NFL flashback.
Everyone keeps saying history of college football. This man was the best coach in the history of SPORTS.
@@ShazSoRad Your statement alone speaks volumes for the lack of integrity Michigan fans have
Honestly good for him. Still has his health and cemented his legacy along time ago
I'm heartbroken as a big alabama fan who lives in Tuscaloosa its a hard and sad day for us Bama fans 💔
he has nothing else to prove, move on and enjoy retirement
@@TP-ne6ezlol he knows they don't have a qb in sight for the next 5 years atleast. Milroe was terrible
@lavxbesdolp164 you keep beating michigan? LOL yall got face rolled tf you talking about.. mainly because alabama has no qb. Worst qb in bama history maybe
The greatest coach of all time. Hands down. Won 7 national titles. Got Alabama and LSU back on the map. Won rosebowls and sugar bowls. 4 Heisman winners. Has left his mark on college football forever and he went out on top. He won the sec championship which is the NFL of college football. His last game was a classic and honestly he should have won. Greatest coach of all time on the best college program of all time. 18 national championships he left Bama as the best college football program ever. It's undeniable. The best.
Got clapped in the nfl….
@@KarlHavoc45pretty sure they meant college coach but who knows yeah
@@KarlHavoc45 your a dipshit. He didn't have a quarterback or a defense when he got to Miami.

Saban in my book has been the best college football head coach I've ever watched. I'm a Gator fan but I'm sad to see Saban go 😢
He’s the reason why the SEC Conference is so dominant over the years of college football. I’m surprised by his decision.
Gonna miss our coach. He came to Tuscaloosa in 08. I came in 09 ready to finish degree Started teaching in 2012 and used to winning. Students sat up anytime I said Saban says. You’re the goat, Coach! Godspeed to you and Miss Terry.

@@user-kz3ur2ph1lNah, I just think the Sabanites have not grasped how great Coach Prime actually is. Saban has a great record, but they will see how Prime is the GOAT in a year or two. I don't think it's accurate to bring race into this particular case. Just give them time.
Saban the greatest COLLEGE coach ever...
going to be very hard to fit those shoes for Alabama, imagine the team that you always just know will be in the championship game to something else...it's something I don't think I'm ready for, deserving rest and glad to have seen his franchise shine for so long. Love from WVU
Hate to say it but Alabama has to have a new style for who ever takes over. Different style of doing things. But winning is still top priority. That's a challenge for whoever takes over 🤔. It's time for a NS and a Tom Brady movie. Not 10-25- years from now
Go out on top. Enjoy life. Love it. Thank you Nick Sabin!
Iowa fan here! Great coach! Always competed for a national title!
Legendary irreplaceable wish him truly the best in future and spend family time❤
I bet they do replace him... and soon. Watch.
The transfer portal is about to change. Saban has had a great career and I hope he has a wonderful retirement.
I used to be a sports junkie and college football is about the only thing I watch now but the transfer portal is ruining it. Greed will kill this sport.........
@zzeus43 So to be clear you don't want players to be able to leave their university?. There has always been a transfer portal.... I think Your issue is that players can transfer penalty free now one time
Transfer portal and NIL will destroy college sports.
@@steveandersen996already has...these socialists will never learn
@@22s22a It doesn't even need to be called college football anymore. I guess it is like the minor league system for MLB. A lot of these "student athletes" don't even go to class anyway but still get a degree. It is definitely about money now and not education.
The new business structure of college football has chased the greatest coach away... that's crazy
It shut down his cheating and he sees the writing on the wall that he won't win anymore titles so he's jumping off the ship
@@jcelldogsit wasn’t cheating, you went to Saban and Alabama to make money in the NFL. Now you can make money in college. And also with the portal you can’t sit 5 stars one or two years until they’re really prepared for the big stage and then send them to the NFL. The college game has changed so much in the last few years to where it’s like the NFL and I don’t like the NFL. The pros is too much money driven and scripted.
As an Auburn fan glad he's gone, but I have to put respect on his name. The greatest coach in my lifetime.🎉
Put some flowers on his cap.
The most shocking moment in sports all year. Nothing will top this
Any coach who has been a coach for 17 years who retired, shouldn’t be shocking to anyone.
Kids start getting paid for their NIL, Saban retires. The playing field is leveled now. He doesn’t have a chokehold on the best players in the country, so he calls it quit.
@@iBMcFly Not many of those long tenured coaches are still competing at the highest level
@@peaceistheanswer275 It had nothing to with NIL, you're looking in way too deep. The most accomplished CFB coach ever. He's 72. Cmon.
The old guard is suddenly gone. Pete forced out of Seattle, bill being forced out of the pats and Nick retiring. Insane
Times are shifting
Young generation has to step up and take the lead
Only difference is Saban left on his on terms.
Nick Saban is not only good for college football. He's the best. He believed in hard work. Because it pays off better at the end. He respected the NCAA and NFL. He wasn't a cheater or tried to get over.
He worked hard whatever he was doing. Saban did not grow up rich, so he knows what hard work is,and what it takes to become a Champion!
He went to Kent State where he played DB 1970-72. The head coach of that team wanted Nick to be a coach. Saban was very intelligent at a young age. He took on tough challenges in his coaching career at a young age.
*Saban's career began in 1973 as a graduate assistant at Kent State.
*He later made stops as a position coach -- always on defense -- at Syracuse (1977), West Virginia (1978-79), Ohio State (1980-81), Navy (1982), Michigan State (1983-87) and with the Houston Oilers (1988-89) as a DB coach.
*He got his first head coaching job in 1990 at Toledo
*He spent two seasons with the Cleveland Browns as a defensive coordinator under Bill Belichick from 1991-94.
*Nick Saban became the head coach at Michigan State coach 1995-1999.
In five seasons with LSU, Saban had a 48-16 record, winning three bowl games, two SEC
Championships and 1 National Championship in 2003.
*Nick Saban jump back into the NFL as head coach of Miami Dolphins 2005-2006
At Alabama, Nick Saban coached 17 seasons in Tuscaloosa, winning six national championships and 11 SEC championships. He spent 28 seasons as a head coach at the college level.
Saban coached Alabama's first four Heisman Trophy winners
He leaves Alabama with an absurd 206-29 record, a winning percentage of .877 and a 16-7 record in bowl games.
Thank You Coach Nick Saban for teaching the players in college and in the NFL to always be truthful to themselves and the game they love. Because that alone makes us winners!!!
Without a doubt, Nick Saban is the best college football coach of all time. - Signed a Buckeye fan
Saban is so Good that you guys talk about a 12-1 season for him as bad, that's a carrer year for 99.9% of coaches
He was amazing!!! Have a great retirement!!!
IM LSU, BUT SABAN THE GOAT, THE WIZARD, THE GENIUS, A TRUE LEGEND
He left it all on the field.
Rest well Coach.
An absolute legend. Roll Tide!

12 team playoff (should be 6 max), NIL, transfer portal. Saban is smart enough to see the writing on the wall. This would be hard enough for a coach at any age, much less one at 72. College football is about to become the NFL's semi-pro league. If are old enough to remember it in its hay-day then relish in the fact that you were there to see it for yourself.
He's smart enough alright....smart enough to know the nil killed his cheating ways and he can't compete unless he's got all the top 5 star recruits 4 deep at every position. He's a fraud and has been one his whole career.
I agree that Nick Saban is the greatest football coach ever...and I'm a UGA fan but I could never hate Alabama when they beat Georgia and I watched every Alabama game just like I watched every Georgia game. Please reconsider Coach Saban and if you don't...thanks for the fun and the memories.
When Nick Saban was hired by Alabama, I thought for sure that he'd return them to prominence just because of all the money that ESPN reported that Alabama was investing in the program. I never thought it'd be 6 titles, though.
Still, my favorite title of his remains the 2003 national championship at LSU because Saban wasn't well-known outside of the Big Ten and SEC, and LSU had never been a great football team. Also, America was on his side because Oklahoma did not belong in the Sugar Bowl and caused national outrage. That game put him on the coaching map and set up his career for the next 20 years, from the Dolphins to Bama.
7titles to be exact the man's the goat 🐐
They won't win another natty anytime soon....
@@trechinotre3742he won six in Alabama is what the guys saying!
There will be monuments built in and around Tuscaloosa for Saban. He’s going to be hard to replace, especially when he left on his own terms, not unlike when Mike Krzyzewski or Pat Summitt retired.
One thing i think everyone can agree on is that Alabama won’t be the same next year
Next year? Try 30 years
Thank you Stephen A For Keeping It 💯Saban The Greatest 🐐💪🏾
Kids start getting paid for their NIL, Saban retires. The playing field is leveled now. He doesn’t have a chokehold on the best players in the country, so he calls it quit.
Bingo. I'll add that he cheated his whole career after he left msu to go to lsu. He's been paying players since. With the NIL in its 4th season starting this year, it's exposing him as the fraud he is and he's jumping off the ship before it sinks.
Thank you Coach Saban.... I love you‼️ #rolltideforever
gg saban from a tarheel fan, you the man
What is amazing is Paterno has been gone for many years and he is still second on the list for getting players to the pros, shows just how great he was
The landscape has changed and when you add in his age, you understand why.
I remember when I started watching college football, Alabama was the only team I like, Ever since Nick Saban became the winning head coach to lead the roll tide to victory, they will never be a coach like him, We're going miss you😔
You sure are. 30 years of losing good luck LOL
Gotta love the media just completely ignoring Saban being a complete dud in Miami and quitting on the organization. Glad he's retiring TBH
who would of wanted to coach the dolphins of all teams anyway 😅😅😅
Yup he straight up lied saying he wasn't leaving miami ahaha no honor straight up pos
He was average in the nfl because teams are equal pretty much in terms talent. He's a cheating fraud thats bought players the whole time at bama. Espn created this mess too. They recruited for bama to create their sec legacy
He doesn’t want to have to compete in the modern era with NIL. He knows the next 10 years of his career won’t be the same.
He knows his qb is azz and they never did recruit one to replace him yet
He can't compete with nil because all teams can do it and he cheated before. The nil shut his cheating down and he's taking his ball and saving face and retiring before he's made to look average again.
Im a Gator fan, saban is a good man!!
Nick is college football greatest hands down!
I'm surprised he didn't make it a nice round 30 years, that would've been a nice bow to put on it - as well see him coach in the new era that's about to take place.
Excellent Stephen A discussion
Am not shocked it had to come to an end sometime.
Been a great ride
Roll tide gone miss Saint Nick
GO BLUE!!! happy retirement Sir. You're the greatest.
Thank you Stephen A smith coach saban enjoy your retirement always a bama fan 4Life RTR L.A.N.K
No one can deny Saban built an empire! #Respect😤
Saban did not look happy about that Gatorade bath lmao 😆
Amen Stephen A. !
Greatest coach in all of football? All time? Stephen A is tripping. Saban was a great recruiter and but he won because most of the time Bama had the most talent. Thats why he flamed out as a NFL coach. You never can have ALL the talent in the NFL.
Finally someone said it
Bama did not have the best talent this time.Saban coached them as he does all his players, and their commitment was there. Roll tide forever! Thanks coach Saban,we will always love you.
i really hate this news, but I'm not surprised because it has gotten too hard and complicated to build a team now. You get them, then they enter the transfer portal. NIL & the transfer portal basically helped make his decision. It's going to be really hard having to adjust to not seeing Coach Saban as a part of the Alabama Crimson Tide. This one hurts man..
Thank you Coach Saban!! & Good Luck as a retired Champion.
It sure is complicated when you can't just buy all the top recruits under the table anymore. All teams can do it legally now and Saban leaving is just showing what a fraud he is.
The rumors were out there. I thought he was going to wait until next year, though. Roll Tide, Nick; Roll Tide 👏🏾
Dawg fan here. Saban is the goat. Sad day in college football. Go Dawgs
Bout time. Lets go Ga!!!!!!!!
He is the 🐐! But as an LSU fan I'm happy to see him go real talk. No disrespect at all, but we could never get to the playoffs through Alabama 😂😂😂😂
As a Miami fan and college football fan, he is the greatest! No doubt about it. Absolute respect! BUT thank god he’s gone! Now who’s gonna take the reign as Supreme in this sport? I don’t think Alabama will be quite the same without him but time will tell.
😢🐐
He always hit the best players. You don’t need to be a great coach. Spread the love around and then see how great a coach is. Anyway, I hope he enjoys doing what he wasn’t able to do .❤❤❤
lol what are you rambling about? I can’t tell if you are mad or supportive lmao
hes mad@@Awwwsnapshazzam
You have to be a great coach to coach great players
He never hit anyone. Stop slandering.
Bama and esecspn bought all sabans recruits. Bama and their dynasty is nothing more than a con job by espn and the ncaa was told to shut up about it as espn basically controls college football.
It wasn't a week ago, it was Tuesday after the national championship game you guys talk about it!
I would love to see Pete Carroll at Bama
That would be something that would be crazy but also a great hire.
But he’s older than Nick Saban by 46 days.
Great college coach ever! But come on you can’t pick him over a NFL coach when the skill gap jump to NFL is astronomical and lack of parity and competitiveness in college football
When he invited and flew me out, he had to through throw that in there 😂
Didn't see this coming. Without a doubt a great coach even though he did LSU dirty and then ran from the NFL. But I know he's beloved by all the doinks in Tuscaloosa
....ROLLL GREEN WAVE
He ran from the nfl because teams are equal or pretty close to it and it showed how much of an average at best coach he is and has cheated the whole time with buying all those recruits. That's the only reason he's won so much.
Now come to the Buckeyes 😵💫🤣🤣🐐
If I was Disney/ABC/ESPN I would offer Saban anything he wanted to keep him from going to Fox Sports. I would go to war with them over him.
Stephen A gone have to find another college team to bandwagon lol
Smart move coach 🫡
Man I'm going to miss this coach but he is 72 years old and you have to retire one day and I guess he is probably comfortable with his decision on deciding to retire right now.Enjoy your retirement coach because you have definitely earned it
🐐
Vravel to Alabama! remember this
Was only a matter of time...between the NIL and the transfer portal he knew it wouldn't be the same for him going forward to just cherry pick EVERY player he wanted anymore.
The SEC is about to look different...💯.
Thank God. Bama was the only one allowed to pay players for all them years LOL times change..
I think it goes deeper than that. I think with espn taking over college football in the early 2000s, and making it more of an entertainment spectacle, they had a vested interest in the sec and needed to shut down other top programs like usc and Pete carrol for cheating among others. They planted the seed for Saban to be successful and cheating in their own right.
Steven A just be talking. .Bill's meal ticket was his defense on the Giants team...it was down hill from there
the only shocking thing is that the media is shocked. man is 72 years old and has won a record 7 national titles at 'bama plus 1 with l.s.u. too bad dabo at clemson won't be in the running to replace with that $90 mill buyout hanging around crimson tide's neck. fans should expect a return back to earth at tuscaloosa
What’s the point of the fake skyline backdrops when you can see the folds 😂😂😂
I’m sitting here thinking the same thing
Coaches today are expected to be able to retool every year. Imagine the stress….
I agree that it's harder to be successful for so long in college football. In the NFL you are building a team around a few certain players, especially QB. In college football the turnover rate is what makes it harder to keep winning and stay on top. So Saban is the greatest
😢Sad day in College football.
Now that NIL made the playing field the same for everyone, Nick bolts....lol.
Can’t believe this
Pete Caroll announces retirement = Taco Bell
Saban and Belichick retirement news= Mi Cozumel 😂😂
Greatest football coach ever in all of football, I’m not willing to go that far Stephen A
Then who?
I agree, his failure in miami, at the pro level shouldn't be forgotten. He's the greatest college coach of all time, but to say he's the greatest "football" coach is laughable.
The stat that blew my mind was the one that said every class under Saban never went all 4 years of college without winning a national championship
@4:30 I mean yea the bodies change but it’s still the top talent every year. I mean when has there ever been a time where Alabama wasn’t top 5 or 3 in recruiting lol
What about the recuits that came there for him
Accomplished a lot (collegiately). More than free to walk away on his own terms given his age etc-but he can no longer compete & get all the BEST players so he called it quits
Let’s all be greatful that he retired a hero instead of staying long enough to see himself become the villain
So he retired because now college football is more level playing field because in the past he Nick Saban had no issues when he was taking all the top recruits. Now that’s is more balanced he can’t handle it?
Also Stephen A it doesn’t matter if Alabama was up 7 . The game wasn’t over yet Georgia was also up against Alabama how did that end.
And to say his better than bill idk man. Nick a great coach but bill did it were nick couldn’t the NFL.
No, he doesn't want to coach in a semi-pro league with players that wants all the benefits of the pros with non of the responsiblitity.
