Well done. The dress is stunning. And the filming that you did on-site is absolutely beautiful. I can't believe it came together so quickly. I've only been sewing for a year. I'm still at the multiple mock-up stage (on average 6 to 10 per project - all on a 1915 hand-crank, so... takes a while...) We're in a wee one bedroom apartment, so instead of a large cabbage patch bin I went for cutting up the left-overs and using them for stuffing a Zafu-style meditation pillow. And it works great - deeply pleated sides means you can really overstuff it. Took me less than a month to fill. I'm about to become notorious for giving out zafu cushions as gifts... Anyways. Thank you! One of the reasons I didn’t need to go through several mock ups is I choose a pattern I’d used before so I knew it would fit ☺️ That’s a great idea! I’ve got a little basket of scraps that I will use to stuff bumrolls or such! But it’s now overflowing so maybe stuffing cushions is the solution ☺️
@@LiljaHusmo After sending my second grocery bag full of scraps down the apartment garbage shoot... I knew I had to come up with a better solution. My solution is to make a cushion that sells for 60-80$ new. So far, it's working out great. I long to have patterns that I've already gone through the fit process with. I'm a 38FF, so me and full bust adjustments are still learning how to make friends. Until I get to the 'I kind-of know what I'm doing' stage I'm going to be making a whole bunch of zafus... And let me close by just saying this again, for emphasis - well, well, well done on doing demonstrations and talks to the public. That. That is huge. Congratulations.
