    only just found your videos and have to say a refreshing change in presentation style from so many. I have a 1896 treadle machine and that plus the Scots Norwegian accent drew me in. Bravo

    Ok but the T arms while you're trying on the mockup just gave me flashbacks to when I was working on my mockup and used zip ties that were super long... Except I put the knobs at the bottom for some stupid reason and it was like some sort of medieval torture device 😂😂😂😂

    Nice work - the little hearts are a great finishing touch. Could you not use an iron-on stabiliser to help with the fraying, or maybe glue stick? BTW it's "pinking shears".

      @@LiljaHusmo I'm on a, shall we say, extended break from attempting to upsize and upscale the Redthreaded pattern for half stays. Because I had watched enough videos to think that doing such a thing would be easy. I was wrong.
      But. I did the exact same thing with my bones. And because it's Regency, I have to somehow slide all of those pointy things past my curly hair. I feel you for the mock-up stabbies.

      @@LiljaHusmo It's nice to take a breather and go for the 'easy' win. I found a bunch of really beautiful wool before the holidays at one of the local charity shops. I am making wearable mock-ups for each of the simple, straightforward wardrobe anchors they will become.
      Because I need the reminder that I actually kind of know how to do this. I spent most of last year on 3 projects that still haven't work out. So. Nuts to that.
      Starting with a circle skirt and working up the food chain from there. Ultimately ending in a Chanel-style matching suit. Fingers crossed.

    • @LiljaHusmo
      @LiljaHusmo Před 2 lety +2

      I got my local print shop to print it in A2, it should then be to the original scale! I'm not sure about the size, as I didn't measure it before making the first mock up, definitely email them if you need help with figuring out the printing or if you're printing at home, they were super helpful when I emailed them 😊
