How to STRIKE YOUR IRONS & Your WOODS - You Need to Know the Difference!

  • Have you ever found that some days you hit driver amazing but strike your irons poor and then on a completely different day you suddenly struggle to hit your driver anywhere near the fairway but out of nowhere now strike your irons like a PGA Tour Player 😁
    Why is that? đŸ€·
One possible reason that you may forget from time to time, is that your fairway woods and Driver are different to your irons and require a slightly different approach and golf swing.
It's not a huge difference and therefore is pretty easy to implement but you need to be aware of it. Too often I see golfers hitting their fairway woods and driver with the same golf swing they hit their irons and vice versa.
Today you are going to learn how to easily adjust your golf swing for your irons, fairway woods and driver.
    It's super simple!

    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be
to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On CZcams and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up
a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game

Practice swings are so important before you take the real swing. Every practice swing needs to be focusing on where the club is meeting the low point. Good content Danny.

This was the best illustration I have seen for how to improve my consistency in striking. Can’t wait to go to the driving range and take it to the golf course. My guess is once my body understands the principle, it remains the same for all my clubs, but I will have to play around with the different lengths to get used to hitting long and short irons

I've been playing golf for 45 years, numerous lessons, always taught to turn your shoulders ( body ) I've just found that putting my weight onto my heals a bit more and flexing my knees more I now get the same sensation of rear shoulder up then front shoulder up . Thanks for showing the proper sequence of how to swing.

Thanks, Danny. Love your instruction/videos--clear and to the point. I've been struggling with finding my swing plane, often blocking or drawing the ball, which makes my width error rather broad. Meaning I miss the greens on both sides. Focusing on the up and down and up, seems to be giving me more chance to swing down the line, as opposed to coming across or pushing out, both of which I am doing.

All sounds so simple when Danny demonstrates. But to ave golfer playing of an uneven surface as got to be different. I see the point of whats said but must try to put into action. Always enjoyable to watch Danny

Great content and informative coaching session Danny really like the the work stations just a thought do you keep your head behind the ball through the swing on all shots.

Another great video Danny. When I first started to golf one of my biggest swing flaws was the reverse pivot. When you talk about pushing away from the target when using the driver I get horrible flashbacks to my reverse pivot. I know I am supposed to keep my hips moving from right to left during the downswing, but what should the weight distribution be on my feet as I push away from the target? Is there a drill to use to get the sensation of pushing away from the target without feeling the reverse pivot? Thank you for making me a better golfer.

Hey Sir, I wanted to let you know this lesson saved me a lot of strokes today. I had been really struggling with my irons and fairway woods. I had an amazing day thanks to your awesome lesson. I also used your Chipping around the green lesson and that probably saved 4 strokes or more. Thank you!

Very helpful. I had been told previously about hitting ahead of the ball with irons and woods but not to the degree of separation. Thanks again for the lesson!

This is definitely one of the very best!
Clear description and explanation and really helpful drills with the feedback station.
Regarding ball position I guess the obvious point is that for fairway woods/ metals it should be just a bit back from the lead heel?
