    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On CZcams and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Great lesson Danny! I will sometimes tie a shoestring to two tees, and place a tee on either side of the ball and behind it, so that the string is flush with the ground, but just behind the ball. It forces me to make ball first contact, to avoid hitting the string. As always thanks for all the info! I meet with a tour player later today to map out my road to playing on the senior tour someday. Thinking about making some content along the way, but I want to remain focused on my goals also.

This dude is amazing. He’s gonna put golf pros out of business. The visuals are PURE GOLD. I never thought about striking in front of the ball. In my mind it’s always been hitting down and “pinching” the ball. It’s so ingrained in my head. I started using my normal swing but pictured striking 3 inches in front and it has changed my life haha. From 15 handicap to 4. Thank you

love this, as somebody super new to golf but really enjoying it im always surprised when you know exactly where im likely to be going wrong, i mean... i shouldn't be surprised because you are a pro but it gives me confidence knowing that you know even without seeing me what the issue will likely be and nailing the fix, im constantly topping the ball but would not alter the way i stand over it because in my mind im thinking that the position im in is right and i need to get used to it... well this showed me something different and a small change i can make that may just make all the difference, now ill take it down the range and give it a go.

Hey Danny, I've been following you for a couple of months now and you're definitely my favourite channel on YT for golf tips and coaching! You're phenomenal!
I'm quite new to golfing and I've been experiencing a bit of back pain on my left lat whenever I go to the driver or similar clubs. I'm thinking it could be my swing path and how hard im trying to hit the ball which is making it worse, since I'm 5ft 3in using a regular sized driver. Could there be any other reasons for my back pain such as my technique or should I switch to shorter clubs until I can get a fitted driver?

Danny, I've been watching your videos for a few years and I've got to say you are an excellent coach. You always go into great detail on the 'set up' and 'address' but so far as I can remember you never mention how far to take your stance away from the ball. I am always hesitant when setting up to feel comfortable and consistent over the ball. Is there any tip you can give to do this taking in to account, age, height and shaft length of club. Keep up the good work and thank you.

Damn. The sound of that strike just before the 13:00 mark was SO pure. That is what I’ve been working on for awhile and thankfully I’ve finally gotten there consistently with predictable ball flight. I have intensely focused on the methods I’ve gathered from your lesson collaborations with Pete Cowen and those adjustments have not only produced profound results, but have made the current amazing quality of my strike possible. Thanks again Danny my friend.

I am able to handle my clubs now and I am super proud of my results, within five weeks if intense training. Yes, I have slices sometimes, yes, sometimes I don’t get the max distance etc. BUT- I reached the point, if I arrive at the driving range, I am confident that I am able to hit the ball, straight, high, with this nice sound etc. it’s super fun. Thing is by the time you get to that point this info will or should already be mostly sorted .
Can you do a linked series of videos that works through the basic principle’s of creating a useable swing , exploring each aspect from takeaway to follow through and how each affects and sets up the other in maybe five chunks .

@@DanielMaude genuinely more useful than the £60 lesson I paid for last week! Cheers Daniel.

Hi Danny, Just wanted to say thanks for all the help. I am a senior golfer and have been playing on and off for many years mostly fun golf with friends and a few beers which definitely doesn't help my game. At age 62 decided it was time to start playing seriously and as a member of a club it just makes sense. I was born and lived in the UK in Kent for my first 39 years when I moved to the USA and have been here now for nearly 25 years, it was funny when I found you on youtube and got hooked watching you for at least an hour a day and then subscribed, my game has improved a lot but now I'm ready to start playing tournaments and club matches and doing better with my game.
I would love to know what you recommend as far as where to go from here and what you could offer to help me become a better golfer, I would just add for my age I am still thankfully fairly fit and strong and willing to put the hours in which for the past 2 months I have been to the range about 1 hour every day, anyhow wanted to touch base with you and see if you have any recommendations, and thanks again for everything I have learned to date
    best regards
    Staurt

Danny, low point control has been a perennial problem for me. Sadly, due to an accident I'm unable to straighten my right arm which doesn't help but this video was super. Once again you have proved that you're the best.

Thank you Danny for these amazing videos. I just wonder how would do the same when you practice on a driving green that only mats? It doesn’t feel the same when I hit of a mat as when I hit on grass. Thanks

Danny, I never realized the leading armpit would be the lowest point of the golfswing, which is important to consider when setting up for longer irons and woods. This makes a big difference on the ball position. Thank you!

Hi Danny, love the video...however, how do es one develope this technique when only hitting from practice mats?

I can’t wait to get back to the range after this video. I’m swinging the best ever after 2 of your other videos but knew my divot and compression was not far enough forward. I had tried focusing on in front of the ball to fix it but that didn’t work. If this gets me better compression I will be hitting it further than people half my age (64) at our club. I can always tell if I made contact with ball first by the sound of the strike.
I would like to go from 155 with a 7 iron to 165 yards. Par threes are killing my score with longer irons which produce less descending arc. Can’t hold the firm greens.

Danny ive often found that by focusing your eyes 2-3 ins ahead of the ball helps with exactly this contact

Wow, yesterday focused on striking a piece of grass in front of the ball when hitting my irons. Was flushing shot after shot without my typical unpredictable draw. Was quite shocking and noticeable to my +2 playing partner. Forget the ball strike the ground
    Thanks Danny!
