George, can you tell me if the Sram Apex has adjustable shift force. That is, the force to make the first click? On my shifter, I think it's a little tight for me.
Hello Igor, I don't know of any shifter from any manufacturer that you can adjust "shift force". I only know of reach adjustment so the levers are closer to the bar for smaller hands. Thanks for watching please consider subscribing
No. You have to replace the shifter. Unfortunately I just stripped this same shift on this very bike. I was replacing a handlebar with the Hyd hoses and shift cables running internally through the bar. As I was trying to put the banjo fitting into the shifter I stripped the shifter body. They use a coarse thread screw into a plastic body. The screw tears up everything if it’s only slightly askew. SRAM is garbage. It’s “engineered” like low rate stuff even as they are passing off as their top tier RED groupset. My advice is move away from SRAM it’s shit. Sorry for the real talk
@@mlee6050 personally I hate the way SRAM shifts and the shitty way it’s made but hey some people like vanilla some people like chocolate ice cream. 😊😊
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad Did you ever try anything to make it work? I'm thinking about using some small zip ties cut to the proper length to wedge the screw into the hole. It's a goofy situation but I want to try and make it work.
Thank you for fixing my bike again!!
Now go ride it like you stole it!

Is there a way to repair to plastic you torque the hose into? Accidentally over torque once when trying to sort hose out

@@SeeYouUpTheRoad yeah, I do like Shimano but often only on mountain bikes
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad wanted to ask the reservoir cover does those four screws have a torque setting? Thinking to get the park tool 4nm preset tool
How do I fix stripped out plastic treads for the banjo bolt hydraulic line in the plastic brifter housing? Got any smart ideas? Please help!
I'm sorry to hear about this! This happened to me too and I had to replace the entire shifter! SRAM stuff is so cheaply made it's crap!

@@zap... as a shop owner I can’t risk the liability of doing anything other than replacing the shifter
