Wow great detailed video! I don't understand how it only has 700 views. This video really helped me out, I had to change my brake cable and had no idea how, but this video sorted me.

thnx this really helped my in problem solving, I have bought a new bike and after 1 year the pads were quite worn out, but I thought it wasn't that bad but I pulled my lever to the handlebar so I couldn't brake to the max. After searching everywhere I found that this brake is self adjusting, so there is no setting screw to determine the brake starting point. (lik with the HS-33 magura rim brake). There is a reservoir! so it should compensate for the brakepad wear. I installed new pads and now there is not a problem at all, but when it wears off then I have too soon that you don't have enough.
My conclusion is that de reservoir has a bubble and isn't filled completely. So I will first try to to bleed it. Got a bleeding kit from Ali Express, really good and all stuff in it. First I got one from a European store, half was missing and it was made in China, just like the one I bought now.

I could write a book about the problems I’ve had with my force CX1!

    Hi ,great video ,
1 question , I have SRAM force flat mount calipers that originally had the silver "olive" compression joint .
Can I use the newer red coloured connection type with the screw on olive ?

Hi, I have a second hand cyclocross bike model from 2018 with sram Rival 1 hydraulic brakes, and the pistons stopped retracting and the brake levers went slack. After bleeding lots of times a bike mechanic said this was a known issue with these brake levers, and is a problem with the cylinder in the shifter being contaminated I think. I’ve since replaced one side with a new one of the same and works fine for now, but I don’t know if the issue could occur again. Do you know the extent of this issue in other sram brakes? I assume this problem in more recent ones are all now resolved. And would it be worth getting sram force 22 brakes to replace these? Unsure if they have the same problem, thanks very much!

Hi. Many thanks for producing and kindly sharing the wisdom. I want to lengthen my SRAM APEX 1 road hydraulic hoses which means I either find a manufacturer who makes a 5mm OD hydraulic in line coupling and splice in a new extended hose length or replace my old short hoses for new SRAM 2 metre hoses as you can only use SRAM ROAD HYDRAULIC HOSES WHICH COME FITTED WITH SRAMS OWN DESIGNED SWAGGED BANJO FITTING as third party banjo fittings are not compatible. If you know of any independent stockist or manufacturer of SRAM COMPATIBLE HYD ROAD BANJO FITTINGS or 5mm OD Hydraulic hose inline couplings I'll be grateful. Best wishes & happy pedalling 🙏

Is that force 22 right hand shifter the same as the force CX1 shifter?

Great video! Do you know if it's possible to change only the brake lever? My sram force 1 hdr brake lever is damaged and I would like to change only the carbon brake lever.

If the lever isn’t available to purchase as a separate part then it won’t be possible to change it over!

Yeah I think u can order spare parts for sram force 1 or 22. Due to the current situation there always out of order. I found one video where someone is removing the front lever for sram force 22

They do one for flat and one for post mount, if you search SRAM Force 22 post mount caliper!
