It's even worse when you realize that Amanda, the daughter, is supposed to be 15 in this movie, hence why she's dating a high school boy, since she's also a high schooler and all.
While the French guy is very much a full grown adult in his mid 20s-early 30s. What's even worse is he would've had to have watched the news report from the beginning of the movie to know about the lavender thing. That news report also covered Amanda's back story and general information.
That means: HE WOULD'VE KNOWN SHE WAS UNDERAGE & IN HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE EVEN MEETING HER!!! 😳😬
Also at the very end of the movie, the child says “I thought he was cooking us dinner!” after Amanda introduces the Chinese guy,
