  • Welcome to day 3 of the 30 Day Improvers Yoga Challenge. Today we have a 30 min yoga flow working toward supported headstand.
    No need to worry if that sounds intimidating! This challenge is all about teaching you how to progress towards these poses, so there will be plenty of options to help you modify and work to your level.
    In today's class we work through a steady warm-up to ease you into the practice, followed by some dynamic sequences with standing poses and balance to prepare you for supported headstand.
    I hope you enjoy day 3 of the challenge.

    I started practicing yoga at 58. I'm 61 now and have recently discovered your channel, which I love. I would consider myself an improver (aren't we all?), as I practice daily. However, no matter how hard I try, I can not step through from downward dog! This bothers me as it interrupts the flow of the class, but I will never stop trying 😊. Thank you so much for your classes Charlie, they are amazing 👏 🤩 ❤️

    My feet were weightless for half a second before my brain registered that I was actually doing a headstand for the first time and the excitement and fear kicked in causing my feet to plop back back 😅 I’m excited to build more strength and confidence over the next couple of weeks. Thank you, Charlie!

    That fallen triangle transition was slick. I will keep practicing to get close to smooth. There have been several really creative transitions that I haven't experienced before, already in just 3 days. 😍

    I enjoyed this class Charlie very much. While you were doing a headstand I happily had reached down far enough to put my head on my block. It felt good as yoga always does for me despite my clinical diagnosis of bilateral hip osteoarthritis and scoliosis. I’ve practiced yoga daily for 20 years and at 65 I feel great. Thank you for challenging me to do more and better

    I suprised myself today, I dared to actually put a decent amount of weight on my head, coming all the way on the tip of my toes. They're not lifting up quite yet, but it's awesome to see such improvements

    I really enjoyed day 3 it was so much fun I had fun trying to do supported headstand I was really surprised and happy that I was able to do puppy pose I'm so happy thank you miss Charlie you rock ✌️ I'm loving the 30 day yoga challenge it's amazing

    I am proud of myself for doing this challenge and i hope that everybody else feels the same. I tried my best, i have never ever tried to do headstand before so this is challenging. I even feel like it was easier to bring my head on the ground on the first day. What i need to work on is patience and coordination, but overall this is a very relaxing experience for me 🩷 thank you so much for your work charlie!

    Wonderful &, for me, challenging. Challenging in a good way! Headstand still evades me but I will not be discouraged. I think I'll take the advice from one if the commenters by coming at it from pike instead of straddle, old hips! Thank you so much dearest Charlie for these wonderful classes, you are the absolute best🙏😊❤

    Okay... You got me here. I couldn't get the headstand ... I barely got my head to the floor, legs don't stretch far enough apart or something. I got the crow with head down n knees on upper arms like crow tho !!! I'll get there !!! Hopefully !!! Can't wait to do the next one !!!

    I have no problem with the headstand itself but I am so far away from getting my head on the ground when standing (even if I bend my Knees)... So I had to go down on my knees to do a headstand 😂 am I the only one struggling with the part right before the headstand?
