  • In this video Leah, explores the relationship between anxiety, tinnitus, and VA disability. She discusses how veterans can be service-connected for anxiety and other mental health conditions either directly, if diagnosed and treated during active duty and continuing post-service, or secondarily, as a result of other service-connected disabilities. Leah highlights several studies illustrating the strong association between tinnitus, depression, and anxiety, including their impact on sleep quality and workdays missed. Although not a legal expert, she provides insights into the VA’s mental health ratings, which range from 0 to 100 percent based on severity.

Another excellent video on connecting disability claims that are not normally thought of together. Leah does not mention that she was a paratrooper and combat medic with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC for many years, she is very humble with her very high levels of medical training, actual experience and formal education in these fields. Thank you Leah, for your many years of military service and for helping all Veterans and our families with fighting the jackals at the V.A. with our disability claims, with these outstanding informational videos for us. Knowledge is power against the V.A. God Bless You! Eugene A. Bennett

There are so many people in the industry of "helping" veterans with their VA disability claims to the point that it could be overwhelming. I've spent months listening to videos and talking over the phone with so many of them and was getting very frustrated. After watching several of your videos and communicating with you via email, I've finally made a decision to choose your services. I'm getting everything together for my health record review and emailing them out to you for a decision despute. Regardless of the outcome, you seem to be the most transparent and honest person I've ever seen in this industry. I look forward to using your services.

Thank you for the awesome feedback. I understand it is overwhelming and there are so many people out there. It is important that if you get claims assistance on strategy or filling it be with an accredited legal representative. If you are just looking for medical nexus letters we are always happy to assist with that and while we can never guarantee an outcome we guarantee we will do our best! Looking forward to hearing from you

I’m so stressed even thinking about going through this. I served four active years as a 0341 81mm mortarmen in the Marine Corps and I took the whole “suck it up” thing way too seriously as I never once went to sick call so nothing is documented. I do have tinnitus and I’ve had it for decades but honestly never knew what the heck it was until recently and I also suffer from depression, anxiety and panic attacks so I’ll see how all this goes but I’m definitely not looking forward to it. Thanks for the info

I'm currently at 10% with tinnitus. If I've recently been diagnosed with PTSD, Major Depression Disorder, and General Anxiety Disorder, would it be difficult to connect the depression as secondary to tinnitus? BTW I'm eventually trying to get service connected for PTSD and realize they lump mental conditions together.

So I was diagnosed with tinnitus while in the military caused by my work as a Chief Machinery Technician. I receive compensation for tinnitus however, my tinnitus has now progressed to where I can’t sleep without noise otherwise all I hear is loud ringing. It affects my sleep as when I wake up in the middle of the night or after a few hours, again the loud ringing keeps me from falling back to sleep. Is there anything I can or should pursue because of this?

I was recently diagnosed with mild sleep apnea with my heart rate during the test in the 30’s. I have also been diagnosed with bradycardia. I thought I had insomnia and may eventually be diagnosed with it. I am service connected for tinnitus and migraines secondary to tinnitus. I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depressed mood and prescribed Lexapro. If I file a claim for anxiety, depressed mood, chronic sleep impairment and mild memory loss would it be one mental health claim secondary to tinnitus or individual claims for each condition secondary to tinnitus. I know if it is rated it will be lumped into one rating. I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey sir! I would certainly discuss this with an accredited VA advocate like a VSO to help with the filling process. Typically when I work with veterans I see that they have it all claimed together or at least the VA compiles it together because they do the C&P exam together. Hopefully that makes sense.
