I see this a lot in American households where people walk around inside their home with their shoes on. The same shoes that were outside. I think it's unsanitary. It's best to wear clean inside foot wear, such as slip ons.
Not all Americans. Some take their shoes off, some don’t. Please don’t assume we are all the same. And to call it unsanitary is going a bit far. I don’t know of any business, in any country, that requires everyone to take off their shoes when they walk into their establishment. Would you call ALL businesses unsanitary? People walk into clothing stores, grocery stores, restaurants, doctors offices, etc. etc. routinely without removing their shoes and I wouldn’t call those retailers “unsanitary”. As long as my floors in my home are getting swept and mopped on a weekly basis, anyone can walk around with their shoes on without a worry.
There are many customs that make each country unique!! When we operated a calving operation in Wyoming- the hired hands had to take their shoes off at the front mud room. Now those work days are gone and I moved closer to family- in California. We continue to take our shoes off to keep the floors clean… but there are some that don’t like to do that and that’s okay…. I don’t think it’s that unsanitary- but I can see how someone might believe different. Thank you for sharing!!!❤️

Tide (laundry soap in general) actually suspends, and holds dirt, for a brief period of time. That is why, you never want to soak dirty clothes, once you add detergent, and you do not see a wash cycle, more than 16-18 minutes . If you let clothes or floors sit and soak with detergent on them, the dirt will be released from the soap and adhere, back to floor or clothes. We own an appliance repair company, and I thought, I knew how to clean until I married my husband lol. The techs actually receive training on this kind of stuff, to properly instruct customers, on how to best use their machines.

Thank you, gonna try this method. Also people who keep saying US floors are gross - my kids play in the backyard barefoot all day in and out of the house and their feet get super dirty. @@VivKittie32 it will change your life. I mopped today and I’ll never go back to traditional mops nor will I probably use regular mopping solution anymore. Side note: you’ll have to change your water frequently but it’s worth it. Within a couple of passes your water gets dirty quickly. Also don’t forget to wash your mop head in the washer.
Tide liquid is too concentrated and clingy. . . better to use Tide Powder. If you have water softening system use Tide Powder, less than 1 Tsp or increase water in bucket. I use less so my rinsing will be less. Less=more in this instance.
This is why I don’t understand why people in the US especially walk barefoot in their home, esp. if they allow street shoes in. The floor is filthy! Most of the rest of the world wear slippers at home for this reason.

Mine are usually dirtier too....I mop twice a week. Tide really is magical. Since this video I've replaced my floors with luxury vinyl. It works fantastic on the new floors too.
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one!! LMAO 😂 My mop water looks like black death compared to hers!!!
Thank you, gonna try this method.
Also people who keep saying US floors are gross - my kids play in the backyard barefoot all day in and out of the house and their feet get super dirty. They constantly go in and out so there really isn’t stopping them from getting the floors dirty. That’s why we just mop lol.
You have to get the ocedar spin bucket mop it’s the best. I use tide with it and I’ll never go back.
Thank you for the tip!! It really is a game changer!
@@beckydanielshome2801 it’s the same mop that gocleanco uses. The mop head is washable.
Just got my o’cedar bucket and box of tide. Wahoo!
@@VivKittie32 it will change your life. I mopped today and I’ll never go back to traditional mops nor will I probably use regular mopping solution anymore. I use to love pinesol, Lysol and fabuloso but I think tide is where it’s at. Also since you only use a teaspoon at a time the tide goes a long way and lasts forever.
Side note: you’ll have to change your water frequently but it’s worth it. Within a couple of passes your water gets dirty quickly. Also don’t forget to wash your mop head in the washer.
@@VivKittie32 That's fantastic!!
I hate the smell of Tide, it’s so strong. I just use a bucket of water and a 1/2 tsp of dish soap.
Does it have to be any specific version of Tide?
I just buy the smallest size box of regular Tide. It lasts a long time!
Can you use this on hardwood floors
According to the Go Clean Co pros, Tide is safe & effective on hardwood, engineered hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl planks & linoleum floors.
Can you use liquid and how much? TY
I asked Clean Co this same question and they said the liquid doesn't have the same enzymes.
Does this work for luxury vinyl floors or will it mess them up?
It is fine for LVP. The trick is use only 1 teaspoon per gallon.
@@beckydanielshome2801 thank you
Nice mop. Where did you get it??
Walmart
It washes windows too! No rinsing, use a squeege.
Thanks for the tip!!
Actually its dirty. But believe me I have seen worse.Thank you for the Tide tip,I will definitely give it a try.Really your water was not that dirty.😀.
I'm going to use this tomorrow!!🥰
Watched a video where lady used the bleach liquid tide👍👍
That would be great for bathrooms too!
Can you use liquid Tide?
They recommend powder Tide
Would Tide liquid work as well?
They recommend powder Tide.
Tide liquid is too concentrated and clingy. . . better to use Tide Powder. If you have water softening system use Tide Powder, less than 1 Tsp or increase water in bucket. I use less so my rinsing will be less. Less=more in this instance.
Tide also works better than anything else I've tried on my bathub/shower.
Thank you for sharing. I will definitely try it.
This is why I don’t understand why people in the US especially walk barefoot in their home, esp. if they allow street shoes in. The floor is filthy! Most of the rest of the world wear slippers at home for this reason.
How much water for each teaspoon of Tide for the floors?
One teaspoon per gallon of hot water
What is the name of ur mop. Never seen one like it before.
O'Cedar micro twist Mop. I bought it at Walmart.
Does it matter the type of floor you have ?
According to the Go Clean Co pros, Tide is safe & effective on hardwood, engineered hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl planks & linoleum floors.
Can it be liquid tide?
No, Powder is recommended.
Can you use liquid tide too or just the powder?
Powered Tide is recommended.
can i use tide pod, the soap inside??
I would stay with powder Tide.
I’m gonna have to try this one. I use a cup of vinegar and a cup of don dish soap that’s safe for animals I think it says to wash my tub and it has never looked cleaner. And I live in a house that will be 100 years old along with the old tub in four years.
I love old houses! Yes, vinegar and dawn works great on showers!
@@beckydanielshome2801 Will tide work on showers walls and tubs also?
@@doanphuong1325 Mix 1/3 cup bleach, 1 gallon of water and 1 teaspoon of Tide powdered laundry detergent. It works amazingly well on walls bathroom surfaces and pretty much everywhere else.
@@beckydanielshome2801 thanks for the tip!
how many liters of water?
About 3 3/4 liters.
So do you need to rinse?
No need to rinse. Keep in mind, only use 1 teaspoon of powder tide per gallon of hot water.
Will this be safe for wood floors
According to Go Clean Co they say yes. And have used this on wood floors.
Will this work for vinyl hardwood floors?
It works great on Vinyl plank flooring.
Yes!
@@beckydanielshome2801 What about wood floors????
@@aprilwaller123 if you can damp mop your floors, then it is safe.
What is Tide? For everyone not in the US
Laundry detergent in powder
What if you are allergic to Tide and Gain?
It is a very small amount diluted in water. If allergies are a concern I would simply use white vinegar and water.
From that big area I thought that was not much dirt at all!
I had just mopped three days prior. It can get so nasty. I hope you give it a try!!
There’s no doubt that Tide is a good product, but any really good wash powder will work for this. I am personally allergic to all Tide products, even the free and clear, but have used other detergents for my floors with fabulous results.
Thank you for this information❤
Can it be liquid or does it have to be powder? If you already said, my apologies, must have missed that. I am in quite an hurry looking for something good & homemade for concrete floors! 😁
Powder Tide is recommended. 1 teaspoon per gallon of hot water.
What kinda mop do you have?
O Cedar Micro Twist mop.
They have them at Wal-Mart
