Drill bits are typically 118 or 135 deg for most materials. The collet register slot is set to those two angles so I expect the edge would not line up correctly. Thanks for watching.

What happens if you set the bit before or after the 118 mark.
Whatever "drill" your trying to sharpen is factory sharpened to a specific edge 118 is very common drill bit
