I love how all bosses are previous rebellious cycles just for you to become essentially the first and final boss for the next "protagonist"

I like how in the final boss when 106 gets his arm cut off, he looks at it like it’s a mild inconvenience and his first response is to deck 107 in the face

they really nailed the voice acting in this game, the amount of desperation in the npc's voices when they realize they are going to die is too real.

I get that the story isn't the main focus of the game, but damn 106 would have to be the world's most dense ideologue to go up against a whole bunch of his predecessors while they're explaining to him that his bosses betrayed them before and will betray him too, and ignore all that, only to be caught off-guard when he gets betrayed. That's telegraphed from a mile away lmao.
It's almost as predictable and as repetitive as the boss fights themselves!

He was brainwashed. And even after he gets betrayed, he's still following the director's orders - "If the facility gets overrun by hostiles, activate the nuke"
Lo and behold, the facility was technically overrun by hostiles :)
Well, I never thought of 106 to be the thinking type.
Tactical? Ruthless? Quick Wits? Sure, but I don't think he'd care.
There is a mission, people that need shooting, that's all there is.
the story literally explains, atleast if you did the optional missions, that the subjects are heavily brainwashed and even mind controlled to an extent by the syndicate, theyre basically mindless when it comes to thinking outside of their objective, even to the very end, he still followed orders, he detonated the nuke upon realizing hostile forces have taken the facility, also if you collect all of the bots, you get the actual canon ending where 106 gets uploaded to a new body, assumingly by the shadow organization that had been drip feeding him and the other failed subjects information. Either way, the entire point of Trepangs story is, it doesnt matter how it ends, the cycle will continue, always, no matter the outcome.
Dude the fucking soundtrack! How is no-one talking about it?! Just the 3 different ones during Mothman encounters alone are LIT.

Only the final fight soundtrack stands out, the rest are mediocre.
It has a bit of Mick Gordon feels too it.

R.I.P. Raven one of the most honest and actually nice members of Syndicate that truly wished us well. He even wanted to drink with 106 when it's over

@@NightmareBlade10 Play it man. But if you do, play it on "Very Hard" difficulty throughout, it's by far the most enjoyable and balanced setting.
Just for the story, if you're not into SCP like stuff or Xfiles or something like that, then you can look over the story. And do all side missions when available cause there aren't many main missions.

The lightings, the slowmos the physics, the ragdolls, all I see is F.E.A.R but in a completed way.
I was wondering why friendly fire wasn't a thing early on the mothman fight, guess the end of it tells me why.
Jorvik on Rage mode was, well, rage inducing. 3 bosses and one of the bosses becomes a mini boss during the final boss fight there
SIte 83 at the end was completely insufferable for me. The last squad with the armored minigunner was honestly impossible.

I'm stuck fighting the last boss. It's frustrating because it replays that cutscene every time. But appart from that it's a really good game.
You can skip the cutscene
a tad bit late but if you get the incendiary shotgun it will set him on fire so you can see where he is even when invisible

Once their purpose ends they kill the subject and take out a new and more enhanced one hence making a "cycle". Which is why subject 107 is more advanced than subject 106 and subject 106 is more advanced than subject 91 (patriarch)

if we look at the final boss fight of this game, it is similar to Deus Ex human revolution where you have to fight Yelena Fedorova in a small space like this one and not only that both of the characters/boss use similar kind of techniques to attack you like turning invisible then firing their weapons and running away after taking damage. I'm just saying, i might be wrong tho.

Can someone explain the endings and all the subjects real names that were mentioned? For example subject 105
Don't quote me, but basically all the named bosses (except maybe mothman and the energy monster circuit breaker thing) were just previous clones before #106 that went rogue.
Like if the Patriarch was #67 and the bedridden guy was #45, as an example of what I mean. The "cycle" was the clones being released and then murdered when their missions were complete. When a clone goes rogue, they just activate and send the next clone after them.
Like if clone#45 went rogue, clone#46 would be sent to kill him.
Ending the cycle meant ending the program AND the clones, which includes the protagonist. To truly be free, all clones had to die (kind of like how the terminator has to melt himself to keep Cyberdyne from using his parts to create Skynet, if you have seen Terminator 2)

I managed to complete campain on very hard, aparat from last fight vs 107. In the last paert I had to change to easy at the nuclear reactor fight. Hardest part of the game for me.
I complete missions on Extreme now. Best fps solo game i played, love it
