The Krauser fight was already probably the best one in the original game, but the remake makes it into an absolutely outstanding boss encounter.

Actually prefer the remake because they literally improve the character development and storyline. This is how the remake should be. The game mechanic is amazing.
I'm with you. Too many people these days are up debate whether or not remakes should adapt every last thing faithfully play-by-play. But if that's the case, you're better off playing the original game with an emulator.
I like this style where they expanded on what needed to be expanded.
I find saddler's character kinda disappointing. He's only there for "me a cultist" thing character

The other Verdugo is called the "U-3" in a file. We also don't get to see what happens to it, since Ramón doesn't fuse with it like he does in the original. This screams DLC boss.

Ahhh.. the nostalgia. This was one of my most favorite games I've played. Never forget beating the game and then replaying it with the Chicago typewriter with my surround sound turned up.
Man, they really did RE4 justice. If they can do a CVX or Outbreak remake next... That'd be pretty sick.
Outbreak was 🔥 I was really bad at games at that age tho - so I couldn't get past the first level - but picking your teammates based on attributes was awesome

Some of these bosses had huge health pools on Hardcore, which is a good thing. This was a proper remake. Hoping they can redo RE Zero like this. Switching from Billy to Rebecca was actually a cool thing.
Just imagine those bosses on Professional mode.

No storage boxes was rough, if they do a remake of 0 they need to have an expanded storage backpack.
@@blakerackley8874 it would make the game more interesting. I, for one, don’t believe in having an OP arsenal in RE. It should be about terror/horror and scarcity. You should fear running into a zombie or monstrosity. Not to say you shouldn’t be able to get it on and shoot them. But you shouldn’t be as “tanky” and have a full load out reaching the final boss. I didn’t feel any dread or worry fighting any of the bosses in RE4 remake because of this. I think having a switchable load out between billy and Rebecca could be refreshing.

Also a missed opportunity that he didn't use his giant pick axe as a weapon that you see earlier.

It's nice to see that the remake is out. The changes to the bosses are very nice to see. I may give this game a shot sometime in the future.

I'm a resident evil fan but like this game is seriously just a fun game to play with weapon upgrades, cool side missions, insane mini boss and boss fights. I'm just getting to the first giant/ogre ya gotta face. And so far it's already my favorite game probably ever other than my Pokemans 😂 absolutely the best shooter role playing game in the last 20 years.
I won't give it a shot, maybe 10 or 20 years later

My god the remake really made the final battle more terrifying and added an extra final phase which I love also I like how the boss has lines in this fight compared to the original definitely a amazing upgrade
I appreciate that they took out normal enemies from spawning in the boss fights that used to have them (Plagas during Salazar, Ganados during Krauser), those were nothing but annoyances.
The new Salazar boss fight kicks ass, he was way way too goofy in the original, I like how he’s like a creepy Napoleon in the new one.

The Evil Dead-like tone was one of the main reasons the og RE4 is my fav game ever, it's fun as shit.

So when Resident Evil 4 first came out it was the best resident evil despite its flaws. The Remake just made it perfect in every words
I honestly really hope they continue these remakes with 5 and 6 to give those games a second chance.

I'd say that 5 and 6 holds up in terms of graphics, CV on the other hand needs the remake.

Why did they get rid of the U3 boss battle? That was one of the best monster designs from the game.
That might be included in the Ada DLC.

Loved all the boss fights in the OG Resident Evil 4 and I think I love them even more in the remake, Capcom has really done an amazing job with this game. I'm yet to play it for myself but I'm glad I can experience it on CZcams, keep on gaming Resi fans you all rock! 🔥🙌👏👊👍🔥

How come the bosses don't die from a flash grenade given plagas hate the light? I mean gigante, verdugo and regenrators aren't dominant plagas.
The only complaint I have is the chief Mendez boss transformation, they didn't even show him transforming in this remake meanwhile we see it in the original game.

It's really cool how they seem to have studied mantis shrimp, psuedoscorpions and gibbons for Mendez's redesign and animations.

I'm kind of glad they retained Leon's wise-cracking in the remake. If anything it seems like they dialed it up a little bit.
Watching this brings back so many memories of playing this game on my PS2 back in the day. If I hadn't just bought Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, I would pick this up.

And the reason why MOST of the time the original is usually considered the "Best" out of all/any Versions, well... is because it feels the *Most/MORE Original* since, it is the original!
And if you think of it this way... might it NOT have been for the existence of *THE Original* happening at ALL... this *Remake* would NEVER have happened then, either.

Great, most of the bosses are interesting. Even though there's something I've been thinking about for a while, it's up to me oh since RE7 popularized the "cliché" that the final boss is not a "Boss" I mean that the final boss is not a character but a stage. If I'm not clear, I mean that we don't attack a moving character, but we shoot at an inert object and that we only have to avoid its slow movements?
I, for one, am perfectly fine with a giant cinematic final battle so long as its preceded by an actual real fight. And I must say, the first phase of Saddler was definitely an improvement over the original.

RE5 reference at the end show the crazy woman and the underground garden.
They made Saddler look amazing in this one. In the original, he looked too cartoonish, and he was such an easy fight in my opinion. Same at the end: you grab the rocket launcher and kill the final boss, then you have to leave before the place blows up. The graphics in this are insane.
They all looked cartoonish in the OG, except the Garrador, the Verdugo, the Iron Maiden and Bitores Mendez.
