After the Marksman points his humongous back cannon at the main character, the main character just looks at his own puny pistol then goes "Whatever. Fuck it." and gets ready to fight 😄
Despite the roughtness of it, I still find the monster design quite interesting.

That is the point, i think it's body horror, the idea is to transform the human body into gruesome and disfigured images (example: john carpenter's "the thing")

The concept of monsters made depending of how one died it's an intriguing and creative concept.
It's sad games like this don't get remakes or remasters and it's sad that this is better than AAA games now 😐

The story on how the creatures came to life incarnating the sins, the insanity and the story of the main character with his flashbacks, the atmosphere.....the 2 different endings based on the path.. If they ever decide to make a remake of this game, it will be a day one purchase for me.
3 different endings, actually. One good ending, one bad ending, and one neutral ending.
A remake on the scale of the Dead space or RE 4 remake would make bank.

If there were ever a game that deserved a remake, it’d be The Suffering. Maybe not TTB, but the first definitely holds up as a solid Action-Horror experience. Also, the creature designs were pretty God-tier, probably up there with Silent Hill monsters. Would be dope to see them modernized…
Oh no, both games for sure. Tie that bind isn't AS good as the first game, but it's a worthy edgy sequel.

This game was really ahead of its time same with the 2nd one 🔥🔥would be dope to see it come out on the ps4 and ps5 !
At first i thought burrowers were the most annoying enemies in the game
But then i was introduced to Infernas. They take ALOT of damage to take down and even then you have to destroy the pile ash left. Because if you don't - they will resurrect pretty damn fast.
And they almost NEVER exist without some form of backup monsters aswell.

I miss this video game. The suffering was one of my favorite video games right side next to hunter the reckoning.
This was the first terror game in the life i have always liked to play... First was terrifying, but now that i knows the story well... it's always good to play the game.

I know all the monsters are based on methods of exaction but I feel like even the bosses in the game are tied to this theme or criminal punishment for example Hargrave represents life imprisonment and Dr. Killjoy is commitment to an insane asylum especially those of early nineteenth century because of its brutality and often wrong treatment methods

I used to have nightmares of this game when I was little then I saw real gore and that made me realize that this game ain’t that bad as real life and no I don’t need help
I honestly liked and really enjoyed this game. I also wanted to get some kind of HD upgrade then or now currently some kind of remake. this game was like one of those favorite cult styled games, you know like how there's cult classic movies, like that.
