E cap is insane. Like, Komova's eponymous skill where she does the inbar and then half twist to transition to the HB is easily an F.
And the other one without the 1/2 twist. From the inbar is like super difficult to get the proper high to catch the HB. Like there's a reason why Komova first learn her skill with the 1/2 twist and after without the 1/2. And if I am not wrong just another gymnast has competed the Komova I
@@alexanderortiz6401 Yea no one has done the Komova I except Komova herself!
Yes!!!
Alyona Shchennikova did one in 2016 as a junior! @@Mittenzzs
IMO there should be no cap on rating of difficulty and if the Bahardwaj and the Seitz are harder than the Van Lewen they should be given a higher rating. E is a ridiculous cap for transitions. I myself personally like the Seitz over Van Lewen
I really wish gymnastics would recognize that they are killing their own sport with these ridiculous scoring rules. Why innovate as a competitor when you get absolutely no reward for it?
totally agree!!!
@@YuckyMama you hit the nail on the head. Agree with you 💯
Same goes for pirouettes!
@@ojk46 And dance elements
I don't even understand why there is a cap on transitions. It's a release skill
I like the style the Van Leeuwen transition.
But I really love Khorkina’s the Khorkina transition!! She is so beautiful even the fine detail
The Chow 1/2 is my favorite of these.
i LOVE the chow half so so much. it is so beautiful to watch.
I like the Khorkina the most out of these choices.
Seems like only Seitz does her skill not in mixed grip upon catching the high bar.
The gymnastics judges really don't like to much change. I will be glad when they retire, and some new younger judges come in
these E caps on the difficulty score of bar transitions (as well as on dance elements on FX and BB) are sometimes ridiculous and in a way unfair which discourages gymnasts to perform such skills leading to repetitive and boring routines. we're tired seeing the same pak saltos and van leeuwens in the same competition, but gymnasts prefer the easier route since there are technically no incentives in performing a much difficult skill with the same score as an easier one. like there's no way komova I and II are both rated E, when a clear pike/inbar root is way much difficult than its stalder/clear hip/toe-on counterparts
Outstanding video explanation of these low bar to high bar transitions!
Khorkina element looks better straddle over the low bar!
So that's why the Chow 1/2's like that. Clarity.
The Bhardwaj is beautiful to watch
The day caps are removed gymnastics might start getting less repetitive to me
Nice skills on Uneven Bars.
I'm a big fan of the Van Leeuwen and Bhardwaj. They are much more fluid, IMO.
I like the Seitz, but I *loathe* that dead hang.
We need some new people making decisions on the CoP.
Why is there an E cap for transitions??! Can anyone explain what the possible reason or justification is?
Why the Hindroff/Church is valued higher than a Ray/Shang but in the transitions the VL and Khorkina have the same value?
But, is the point of the cap to prevent injuries?
I don't see what injuries could happen from transitions
Komova should just be the only one to do a Komova 1 in competition. That skill ruined her back. I did see a girl training a tkachev to a pak to a Komova 1 and I was like "Watch your lower back!" That skill is brutal.
Wasn’t the Chow 1/2 performed in 1996? Why not mention the original gymnast who performed it ?
Because it was submitted in 2012. You have to submit in a fig official competition.
Svetlana Khorkina could’ve easily been a model but I just love watching a taller woman swing bars.
It is 100% ridiculous the Seitz being E.... This is why almost any gymnast in big competitions will try new, risky, inovative releases... Betterjust stick to the "easiest" E score in the code.
Hi
Komova 1
Komova 2
???
The cap is CAP
The e cap makes no sence, FIG is just doing so many things wrong
Mohini

No more skills named after Russians! No more. Ever!
