Back when gymnasts had to be extremely skinny and were injured by they were 18

Dominique Moceanu in 2000 made the team but had to withdraw due to a knee injury and that Olympics turned into a shitshow Vault being set too low positive doping tests for taking cold medicine I.e. Strength skills must be elevated again. My mouth would drool for a girl who could do a plange or mount the beam with pommel flares. And if a strength skill is planned, more time should be added. The wolf turn is so tired.

Pauline Shaefer (I'm not sure how to spell her name) and simone biles do switch leaps; and Jordan Chiles does a front pike now

Also becuse is not worth it, becuse her some gymnasts do after the mount a bhs (B value) and after that the skill so most likely only received a 0.1 in bonus, the gymnast a least should do a C skill but is so risky.

Change the freakin routines

Is it ever explained why rules are changed, value of elements are changed or banned? Or do the people in charge just say ," you can no longer do this or that and we've lowered the value of this move", without explanation? I have always wondered what causes them to change what moves are no longer important. For example WHY would they feel the need to minimize flexibility and strength in favor of more tumbling tricks. Why not have routines with BOTH? I bet the gymnasts would love to bring some of those old school moves back. But they can't because of the rules and lower scores.
