She makes even the hardest skills look beautiful. Her hands on beam are elegance in motion, and she flies like a bird on bars ❤.

She wasn't snubbed from the last games. She didn't earn the spot, which was hardly embarrassing. She has gotten more international experience since then. She's better and more confident now.
Her lines and technique are just A+++

@@murasakino101 Now that the layout reverse hetch has been done from all possible entries, what is the next frontier? I suspect it will be adding a full twist to it.
@@mrparts I believe so too. There has already been gymnasts training it so I wouldn't be surprised if it's competed this year
And it looks like she actually kept her toes pointed on the Nabieva.
Shi will get multiple medals if she's at her 2023 form. These upgrades are incredible if consistent 😉

@@henriquecosta6982 a rebeca tem um salto bom, mas nas paralelas e trave é onde ela vem tendo bastante problemas, vimos na última copa do mundo um erro crucial que se acontecer em paris já afastará ela definitivamente de uma medalha, pq a shilese vem com super upgrades nas paralelas e trave, e a rebeca continua instável na mesma série de anos atrás

Estou falando dos upgrades, muito se fala da biles mas esquecem que a diferença da rebeca pra shilese ñ é tão grande assim e com esses upgrades as notas dela vão subir muito, as paralelas dela vão pra cima de 15, ela é muito limpa nesse aparelho e a trave se tiverem todos esses upgrades acima e ela acertar, vai ser difícil bater com falhas, vai precisar ser 100% perfeita

I feel that this years nationals and trials are gonna be one of the most interesting in a while because there are so many gymnasts that can easily fit in on some events or the All Around. (the US committee probably looking for 4 solid all arounders incase they need to step in)

Finally! Time to start talking less about unrealistic comebacks for the Olympics (in 3 months), and more about our real contenders for the Games.
Shi gonna be the secret weapon of the US team this year in Paris. She has it all.

Masterclass you are my boy but can we talk about one thing, I think Shilese just has to be her normal to make the team. She beat everyone at nationals by over 1.5 points. I think she is by far the most talented AA gymnast that has come from the US other than Simone. She is doing so much for tall girls, that full in her chest is all the way up. I posted a video of her practicing 3 of those dismounts at the 2021 US Champs on a hard mat and once again the girl is 5'6 and she is able to do that dismount with her chest up! I think if Simone wasn't there the same thing could happen again where Shilese is the AA Olympic champion! But I need Simone to finish her insane career as the queen reclaiming that AA throne.
I know she may have other goals in life but I really hope she sticks around for the LA games. I know it's an assumption that Simone might retire by then, but maybe she will, and it would be Shilese's time to get the AA gold medal.
@@KaiOpaka definitely agree, Simone is not doing bars ever again after this summer. The reason she doesn't want to go to LA is bc there are so many talented gymnasts in the US and she doesn't want to take a spot. They for sure need her in LA. I hope Shi takes a break and comes back for 2027.

See the thing is, she Jas been training some of these skills for very long and now is the time where she needs to start pulling out these skills before it starts to get too late.
I agree. It is absolutely the time to pull out all these skills because she will NEED TO. The competition to make this team is going to FIERCE. Shilese CANNOT and MUST NOT take it for granted that her skills/routines from last year will be good enough to ensure a spot on the team.

The Cappucitti looks stunning but she comes so close to clipping her toes on the bar. Also I hope she finally debuts the stalder Nabieva but connecting it into the Bhardwaj is unnecessary.
Shilese is one of the most dependable gymnasts I've seen in a long time. I hope she is able to handle the pressure of the Olympic season well!

The thing is, Shi doesn’t need upgrades, she’s already there and has great execution. I understand it especially on Bars because there are some incredible bars workers this year and it’s going to be a competitive bars final in Paris no doubt. I hope she doesn’t try to upgrade beam too much? She is coming and agree she is pretty much a lock for the team.
I hope she’ll go the route out trying upgrades through the season and only keeping what works for her
While her execution scores are really high, she will need a few upgrades if she wants to go for silver in the AA since Rebecca is pulling out all the stops herself.
@@murasakino101 There are SOOOOO many who want to make this Olympic team that I think Shi NEEDS to upgrade in order to ENSURE a place because EVERYBODY else will be upgrading. She CANNOT and MUST NOT trust that her skills from last year will assure her a place. The only person whose routines from last year can realistically be counted on to stand up this year is Simone and I am CERTAIN even she will be upgrading if for no other reason than she can and wants to.

Not only will nationals be tough this year, but there are so many talented gymnasts upgrading for Paris as well so the AA and event finals will be packed with the best of the best. The best bars workers right now have 7.0 start values so Shilese truly will HAVE to upgrade in hopes of possibly taking a medal. I'm a bit nervous for her since she usually plays it safe and doesn't use her upgrades, but she's talented so I imagine she'll bring her best for trials

This is the OLYMPIC YEAR, the biggest year of these gymnasts career and it will be foolhardy for Shilese or anyone else for that matter to think they can come back with the same routines of last year and past muster. Simone herself has to upgrade on beam if she wants that gold and every other WAG will have to in order to become or remain competitive this time around.

If Suni comes back I think she can beat Shilese. She's better on floor and beam, just as good on bars, and their vaults are similar, but I would give the edge to Shilese. And I know Suni needs to prove it. Right now Shilese gets the edge based on the last year but tthat is why there is competition. Shilese shows us a lot of upgrades in training but she doesn't always compete them. It's going to come down to consistency. Should be a fun few months.
Suni really needs to come forward and show an amazing beam routine and I think it’ll be enough with her bars to get her on the team. We’ve seen how capable Suni is as a beam worker on night 2 of Olympic trials so if she’s that solid at classics I think the season is gonna go really well for her. I don’t see a world where Shilese isn’t on the team unless she has a major injury just based on her performance this quad. Suni already proved to the world she’s a great AA player so tbh I really hope (as much as I want her back to AA) she’s focused primarily on beam and bars to get onto this team
@@cooterbooter2 The level of skill Shilese is showing plus, her consistency surpasses anything Suni can do at this point. Shilese has medaled at every event, international judges respect her work and they reward it. Shilese is a lock for Paris 2024 she is a certified medal contender. UB is her forte and she's a superb all around gymnast. It is the year of Shilese. Praying she stays healthy with all that she's been through she deserves everything she's earned. I love her story and I want her to win some medals.

@@lyd2460 You don't know the sport if you think differently. Shilese has a slightly better vault, Suni can hold her own or beat Shilese on bars, and Suni is better on beam and floor when healthy. If she is healthy, she is coming for Shilese.
@@JaniceLThinker We don't know what Suni can do at this point or in two months at the Olympics. Peaking in May isn't a plus. They both have talent but counting out Suni is stupid.
