All glass, all interior, upgraded sound system even. Everything is full working condition (the way a TRUE street car should be) Twin Turbo, SBF, 8 Second QUARTER mile 10.5 Tire... Enjoy! :)
this thing is awesome. it doesnt even look as fast as it is because it is so composed as it goes down the track. no crazy wheelie on launch, no getting out of shape. just loads the rear tires and goes straight down the track. this thing is set up very well.
I've been watching them race this mustang since I was eight, and I'm 21 now. When I first saw it, the owner who's name I can't remember, said it was his wife's car. He had a street rear end and one of turns down the track, he snaped it. Very wicked mustang.
back in the 1970's when I was a kid,I bought a book on turbo-charging,then verses now,it was a difficult job of supplying the fuel, timing, boost control.Thank god for technology,it's common place now to see good running turbo cars, that can run this well and live a long life.
@Reaper9789 : I think time starts running when the car starts to move and not when the light goes on green ......so no need to start as soon as the green light comes......
Exactly, and what I meant was that if you are running a setup with no room for an intercooler, for example a supercharger bolted right to the carburator or intake manifold, you have to run higher pressure to get the same amount of oxygen into the engine. Intercoolers can easily lower the intake temperature with over 70 degrees celcius. So it's quite a big difference. None the less new turbos have quite fast spool. But I can't deny the fact that I love a screaming roots anyways :)
All the foxbody's come with the HO. I suggest change all fluids and seals, fuel filter, plugs, check starter, battery, alternator, belts, fuses, air filter ect... good luck, i own a 92 lx hatch, most fun i've ever had.
@TVRnGTR The Fox name was the name used internally by Ford in the late 70's when it was being designed. Basically the designers of the Fox chassis based it loosely off the early 70's Audi Fox suspension and chassis setup to be used as an all new platform for multiple models. The first Fox chassis cars were the 1978 Ford Fairmont and Mercury Zephyr. Both 4-door sedans. A year later Ford had shortened the chassis and put out the all new for 79 Mustang.
8 second 1/4's on a fully dressed foxbody with 10.5 is impressive! wow id love to see this car my 92gt fully dressed stock suspension ran 11.8 with a stock shortblock but i was on a 11.5/28 tire
@watkinskevan hey just so you know, the reaction time doesn't count into the final ET time, you can sit there for 10minutes while the light's green and it'll still show you 8seconds, the actual ET time doesn't start until the infrared beams stops sensing the front tires which basically means the car is moving forward theres separate ET and ET times printed on the final slip
full interior + cage "only" 1000+hp and running in the 8's! Wow, that must be properly set up! You see vids all over the place of motors running 1200+ hp and they only manage 9's and thats with them all stripped out! Kudo's to you guys for doing it right :)
It runs an 8 second quarter, Boring is cheap and effective, and it would help the turbo by producing more exhaust gas(a little). When i buy a stang I'm gonna buy a 351 and bore that first thing.
@watkinskevan oh yeah so the green light was on for about 3-4 seconds, and if that is the case then this means the car was actually running 4 to 5 seconds in the 1/4 mile...which would take far, far more than 1000hp and 162mph
That thing is clean and launches like there's no tomorrow!! Might I ask what turbo set up you have going on?? I'm really considering scraping my blower and setting up twin turbo's. Great vid, very inspiring!
Is that you? Is this your car? Dude where's the chute? lol. Hey Man, mad congrats and props for a great job on your car. This car is awesome!! I'm not a big Mustang or Ford fan put great job here. Just giving credit where it's due. Fanriffic!!!!!!!!!!
but the air the turbo blows in there is hotter and so is the space under the engine, since the use exhaust gases to spin that thing. sure superchargers are also pretty hot, but not as much as turbos.
OOOO MMMM GGGG!!!! 0:37 MARK, launch straight as an arrow, very nice in an 8 second car!!! it is fully street and i love it. but how rough is the cam when it idles, whats the interior sound during cruise?
Its called, SPOOLING THE TURBO. he was not late, if he was late that time would have been slower. the time starts when they go past the trigger. to LET the timer start.
i would like to know why did you go with turbo instead of nos? an also you did a very good job with car especially with it not haveing many weight reductions. 10 out of 10

Whoever did the suspension work on this car is a genius. Powerglides help but, man that car hooks n books!
we like mustanges very much here in kuwait
and u see it every where
even 18 19 old have it
cos its kuwait hehehe
That was an impressively smooth run. Kudos on being able to put that power down.

Damn, just damn. Turbos are defiantly my favorite power adders.
There's a car you would not want to mess with!

@NickTurboTechnology The much power on stock suspension BALLS OF STEEL!
This car is sick, and I love haters.. Wheres their videos of their cars going anywhere near this fast? Keep up the good work!
True definition of a street car. Just because it can run on the street doesn't mean its true street.
@watkinskevan hey just so you know, the reaction time doesn't count into the final ET time, you can sit there for 10minutes while the light's green and it'll still show you 8seconds, the actual ET time doesn't start until the infrared beams stops sensing the front tires which basically means the car is moving forward

Straight as a freaking arrow. That car hooked and is well balanced. I wonder if it's got a 2-speed powerglide because I didn't hear any shifts.
Gave me goosebumps dude. fox's are frickin awesome
GD i love it when they hook hard & STR8.
full interior + cage "only" 1000+hp and running in the 8's! Wow, that must be properly set up! You see vids all over the place of motors running 1200+ hp and they only manage 9's and thats with them all stripped out! Kudo's to you guys for doing it right :)
mercy!!! it hooked.. and was solid GONE! and so smooth also.. lovin it!
I like how everything is umder control
Sweet !!! Very nice and clean, and to run that in a I'm guessing at most a back half car and a PG, man, must be a fun ride.
It runs an 8 second quarter, Boring is cheap and effective, and it would help the turbo by producing more exhaust gas(a little). When i buy a stang I'm gonna buy a 351 and bore that first thing.
That's a sick car! I love the idea of keeping it as a street car too, very nice!
I love how stock that car looks!! Great job
@robotg its not a carb hat its a elbow for the throttle body wilson manifold makes some and i think proline racing too
All them upgrades, and a stock alternater....NICE!!
Great job on that package looks like it hooks hard!!!
Omg that hooks perfectly, I LOVE IT!! Nice build man!!
Damb I cant believe it held the track great run
I think superchargers are more reliable, due to all the heat emitted by turbos. And the also offer a good amount of power without as much lag.
amazing launch, no wheelie just straight the track, very nice job, i had a 12sec stang jeje no way like yours but the love is for stangs so, well done
@watkinskevan oh yeah so the green light was on for about 3-4 seconds, and if that is the case then this means the car was actually running 4 to 5 seconds in the 1/4 mile...which would take far, far more than 1000hp and 162mph
Sounds like low 8's are in your future! Saw a little slip n slide off the line. NICE!
That thing is clean and launches like there's no tomorrow!! Might I ask what turbo set up you have going on?? I'm really considering scraping my blower and setting up twin turbo's. Great vid, very inspiring!
@NickTurboTechnology
dude that is soo sick. oh my word, i'm grinning ear to ear. so well done dude is there a 1,000 thumbs up button? lol
@trevor51502007 This thing called a 4 link when you set it up properly and its built right to start with all you need is the rubber and a right foot
Ray Charles could even see the Dizzy in that engine bay pic fella...
yes/no just depends what u have/ what you want to put in to them.
162 mph..fricken awesome
@biggiepaul225 idk... it was a 69 mach 1 super cobra jet with a full interior and cage and im sure that would be heavier
Amazing hookup wow, well built for sure.
yeah but if your qualifying or have a bye run you can take ur time especially a turbo car on a pro tree to get boost up
sick stang dude i bet you could drive that thing on the street to.
from the size of the valvecovers and headposition it looks like a 351w block
damn that thing bit the pavement, nice ride. keep up the great work.
Impressive trap speed
Reaction time doesnt matter... the timer starts when you pass it, although reaction time is noted on your timeslip.
I see one. its that red thingie with all of the black wire thingies coming off of it
Very nice ride.!!!! The track has not said anything about "No shute" yet ???
the amount of time he waited at the light does not negatively affect the time on his run
nice vid and car :D the car idleing almost sounds like the back to the future delorean
and you all this a street car...lol
nice stang. Love that you chose the fox body
I agree on the chute LOL! Nice Stang!
BEAUTIFUL.
damn that thing HOOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow!
i wish i could hook tires like that.
that car takes off NICE!!!
sick stang man ill be racing at pacific raceways tomorow for high school drags in my fairlane you should come check it out
but the air the turbo blows in there is hotter and so is the space under the engine, since the use exhaust gases to spin that thing. sure superchargers are also pretty hot, but not as much as turbos.
@uprising8888 much respect to the 5.0 powertrain and the fox body ;)
That thing is AWESOME!
@90streetsleeper
I made 500 rwhp with 42lb injectors a in tank 255 and external trex with stock fuel rails and lines.
im impressed
that was perfection
Wow!! That thing moves!
Absoloutely amazing,, sick,,
nice!!bring it down under and see how you go....
The clock doesnt start til he leaves the line. Only time reaction counts is in bracket racing. This looks to be test and tune,
Yea, it would.
@abcgimp the clocks dont start till you leave
That’s flying.
Yeah, thats pretty hot right there.
WOW ! thats fast, awesome car!
looks nice, good job
OOOO MMMM GGGG!!!!
0:37 MARK, launch straight as an arrow, very nice in an 8 second car!!!
it is fully street and i love it. but how rough is the cam when it idles, whats the interior sound during cruise?
They're easy to deal with compared to the current stuff...just what people have been use to for so long I suppose has a lot to do with it.
wow 8 second street car?!?! that is bad ass, but i always wondered how streetable are powerglides?
Well done! Was that taken at Pacific Raceways by chance?
@SternLX thanks for the info mate :)
wow smooth
Its called, SPOOLING THE TURBO. he was not late, if he was late that time would have been slower. the time starts when they go past the trigger. to LET the timer start.
Sick car.
WOW!!! thats fast.
That's BADASS!!!!!
Would be one hell of a sleeper if it wasnt so damn loud........
Nice Car!!
3 sec delay and the front end stayed perfectly on the ground?
i would like to know why did you go with turbo instead of nos? an also you did a very good job with car especially with it not haveing many weight reductions. 10 out of 10
@NickTurboTechnology haha where you at i need the oil changed daily
sweetness
NICE RUN! thats a hell of a street car bahaha
That does not look like a car that would run 10's, let alone well into the 8's. Awesome ride
sounded like it was all the way on 1st gear :D
BEAST!
@therealcrabsta never forget your "first times" ;-)
yes unless he crossed the beams then sat there for 2 secs
