Shed 7 are still going strong. They recently did a fan and self financed album. Full of Heavy licks and rockin riffs

Good lesson Simon, that riff reminds me of Suspicious Minds by Elvis/Fine Young Cannibas Reggie Young came up with the original lick I think. Shed 7 missed me by first time around only now getting into them, got tickets to see them later in the year!
Absolutely agree. It's a similar riff for sure. Thanks for watching the lesson, all the best, Simon
One thing people always seem to miss in this is the voicings for the chords in the bridge (my favourite part of this song) I make the F#m to be an F#m11 voiced as x-4-4-2-0-0 (very nineties chord) Play a downstroke 1st beat and upstroke 2nd then leading to an Asus2 voiced as x-0-2-2-0-0. The F#m is definite the Asus2 is less clear.
I like it, sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the tip. That chord is SUPER 90s too. Sorry I missed it.
@@SimonMorelguitar haha yeah, I call it the supersonic chord - those e and b strings were ringing out for the duration of brit pop
omg Supersonic! I used to play that in a covers band in the 90s. Thanks for pointing that out.
That's awesome! Thanks for making/sharing that video. 👍

Enjoy the gig! I'll see you soon.
Slight return by the blue times is the riff ;) thanks for this Simon.
Bingo!
Bluetones
@@fangustalken6792 yep
Excellent! Speaking of Echobelly, I’d love to see a lesson for King of the Kerb.
Hi Paul, thanks for watching. King of the Kerb, what a tune! It's a pretty niche request that one though. If you go to www.patreon.com/simonmorel you can request a tune there. Cheers, all the best Simon
@@SimonMorelguitar yeah, admittedly quite niche 🤣
@@pwgilbert80 Always happy to learn something new though, so if you are interested head over to Patreon. Cheers Simon

Do you know the tempo for this song? Would be useful for practice purposes. Great tutorial by the way!
Just play along with the record? Or you could use an online tap tempo site, then use an online metronome? There are lots to choose from. Thanks for watching
Site like this should help - www.beatsperminuteonline.com/
was that a bit of the bluetones in there?
Hey Steven, more than likely I love those guys... btw I'm glad that the lesson helped. Trying to work out the final guitar arpreggio at the end - goes bm7 to a#m7 and I think final chord is A but sounds like a little twist on it - if you listen to the record - about 4:10 you'll see what i mean.
Hey Nigel, you mean here on the album version at 4:10 (czcams.com/video/vBnrrd-32go/video.htmlsi=GUnKwiM5Ep9mO7fW&t=243)? He hammers from 2 to 4 on the D string, then picks back through a D/F#, an F6 (or you could consider it a Dm/F) and then resolves on an Asus2. Hope that helps - if you need a short video let me know. Cheers Simon
@@SimonMorelguitar that's it. A sus 2 picked to finish on - that's a really nice resolution. Many thanks. ;-)
@@nigelpm You're welcome. It's a very 80s/90s sound the sus2 chord. Purple Rain, Don't Dream It's over etc etc... All the best Simon
Rocks!!!

Hi, have you got Bully Boy?
Hi mate, I haven't done that one no.
The riff is the same as doves walk in fire I think
Listening now - I see what you mean! I love their record Last Broadcast.
They are from York not Sheffield.
Thanks, it's a long time ago! Hope the lesson helped anyway? Cheers Simon
