Sounds good, but a 335 right? They are too big for me. I disagree about the type of wood. Particularly in a hollow body guitar. This vs the Epiphone (laminate?) has a much tighter sound. Thanks for watching, all the best, Simon

@@SimonMorelguitar for the sake of debate, unless your playing acoustically, not using pickups/ not using a microphone(your using an amp). How is the wood effecting the tone? I understand size matters to you. but wood ? Can’t sell me on that. Other than cosmetics & weight. Wood is wood.

@@walterdavis2373 The difference between plywood (laminate) and maple/mahogany is pretty marked. I'm sure there are a heap of videos available on this. I found the sounds wildly different, but agree it is subjective.

I liked this one, but for some reason it had 13s on it. For me that's just too big! I would have liked to try it with my regular 11-52. Plugged-in-wise my Maton is better I think. Cheers, Simon

The regular model has the ES1 pickup which sucks. The es2 is on every model on the 200 series up through the 900 series. I have the es2 on mine. I don't like the sound of any acoustic pickups though. The es2 is passable. The LR Baggs Anthem is good but it's 350 bucks.
